Mike was tremendous. Our Rheem water heater gave out and needed to be replaced. But Mike saw that the water heater was still under warranty by Rheem. Mike made a phone call on our behalf to Rheem, got us a replacement heater for free, then just charged us for installation and warranty.

Got the job done at a reasonable price.

Overall a great experience. Pricing was a good value. I would do business with them again.

When he arrived, I told him I had changed the filter, sprayed off the outside unit, and checked the vents. All things I found online to check before calling for service. He proceeded to tell me to try those things again and was getting ready to go. I asked if there wasn't anyway he could check anything else. He reluctantly put a camera inside the furnace and showed me that the coils needed to be cleaned. Finally, the real reason for the coils freezing. If I had let him leave, I would have been without air conditioning for another couple of days. Why didn't he want to check that to begin with? At that point I didn't trust him and his bid was high so I shopped around and had someone else clean the coils.

Kyle Smedley was excellent to work with. Everything went as scheduled. My tenants are very happy with the new A/C.

I noticed the water in the basement laundry room on a Sunday and since it seemed to be coming up from below, at first thought it was a ground water problem. I spent the day with a lot of towels, a lot of wringing, running the spin cycle and drying of said towels, and a whole lot of sweeping water toward a drain. I called Smedley on Monday morning (still thinking it was ground water) and Mike came out around 4 PM. He was supposed to arrive by 2 PM but was delayed by a previous call. He determined it was the water heater and turned off the water to it. This was a job in itself, because the turnoff valve faced a corner in a tight spot in the furnace/water heater closet. Because we had used him before and wanted him to be the one who did the replacement, Mike rearranged his schedule so that he could come out on Tuesday morning to remove the old water heater and install a new one. He arrived on time on Tuesday, removed the old water heater, mopped up water that was still standing in the laundry room (on his hands and knees with a sponge), changed the turnoff valve so that it faced forward, and installed a new 55 gallon water heater. The entire time he was friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with.

The gentleman arrived the same day we called him, he was very professional and nice. He was able to solve our issue quickly, and informed us of his findings. He educated us in ways we can avoid the issue in the future. Great guy, thank you!

Very professional and job was very well done. One of the sink drains had a small leak after the install, and they came out right away to fix it. Will definitely hire again when I need plumbing work done.

Terrible. They ran the line under the carpet in the living room. The water line did break, (it was under carpet in a high traffic area). So no refund, Nothing, no apology, just plain rude. I had set the plumber up, and thought I had everything handled. All my husband had to do was let them in to do the work, and pay them. My husband does have mild dementia, and cannot work. I thought, surely he can handle this. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they would offer the solution to run line under carpet. Period. NOT a solution for a licensed plumber to even propose. I handled the flood that came a few days later, and I also ran the water line. I didn't have to pay them 150.00 for the privilege. The office said basically to bad for you, your husband authorized the work. Yes, he did. So, if they had suggested that we burn down the house, and he said yes, I guess that would have been okay to.

They arrived within an hour or two of the time I initially called. I was very impressed because I never expected them until Thursday and I couldn't do it tomorrow, this being Tuesday. Bill was very courteous and friendly. He completed the repair and we discussed the cause, probably the house settling put a bind on one of the joints in the drain, causing it to break free. The final cost was much lower than I expected to pay. It was a job well-done!

<p>This was a $59 big deal purchase. It went fine, I guess. I don't think it was to bad of a price. The quality must have been good because I have not had him out again. He must have fixed what it was. I think they came out when they said they were going to. I think my wife did this while I was gone.  </p>

this company was on time and very courteous, the tech took the time to answered all of my questions, cleaned the work site before and after the job and i will hire again if there is any plumbing or heating problems. <br />

<p>Our shower started dripping yesterday evening and would not stop.  (This had occurred several times in the past, so we knew it was time to take action.)  Logged in to Angie's List to see what they could do for us.  Luckily, there was a voucher for Smedley's Plumbing, so I purchase the $59 voucher at around 8:15 a.m. today, 28 AUG 15.  Contacted Smedley's several minutes later and talked to Wanda.  She said they could have someone out between 9:00 & 12:00 today.  (That worked for us!)  Wanda called back a minute later and said Mike was available and was on his way if that was okay.  It was.  The scheduling aspect of this job was a breeze -- thank you, Angie's List!  Now for the actual job.</p> <p>Mike arrived right at 9:00 a.m. with a smile on his face and was rarin' to go!  I showed him the shower and dripping problem (that was obvious!) and he got his tool box and turned off the water main.  He laid down a tarp over the area he would be working in and was very careful during the whole process.  He also showed me what he was doing every step of the way, then eventually replaced both the hot & cold Two-Handle Tub/Shower Replacement Cartridges.  After both cartridges were replaced (it appeared the cold water cartridge was the worst of the two), and the water main was turned on again, a leak still persisted, but this time it was isolated to the hot side.  I turned off the water main, then Mike removed the 'hot' cartridge to flush out the line.  When the water main was turned on, a piece of solder approximately 1/2" in diameter shot out of the line.  Confident that piece of solder was the culprit, Mike put things back together (using a new cartridge in case the one he had just installed was defective or damaged) and tried it all again.  Much better result -- no leaks this time.</p> <p>All in all, this was a very positive experience.  We received the service we desired/needed and Smedley's Plumbing came through much to our satisfaction.  I would definitely recommend Smedley for your dripping shower!    </p> <br />
