Flooring - Install, Repair, or Refinish
Mike at S & M flooring installed vinyl plank flooring in 2021 at my 2 bedroom home in Seminole , Fl. In 9 months , an edge broke off and I called S & M flooring and asked for Mike. No return call . I continued to call and still no answer . I have left over 16 messages with no response. Now there are six planks with edge damage ( shown below) and I tried calling again and was happy when Mike finally answered. I told him that I?d been calling him for years with no response . I told him what was going on and he asked for pictures . I sent him the pictures and told him there were plenty of left over planks from his installation. He said he would fit me in to his schedule. Today I got and estimate of $900.00 and a ?discount? of $400.00 I wrote him about his guarantee as I had asked him within the first year to come look at, which he never responded. I mentioned that I would be glad to pay something for replacing the 6 planks but $500 seemed high . Again , no response. Go elsewhere,

"This project was completed in 2021. Our workmanship warranty was disclosed at that time. We have no documented service requests , photos or written communication within the warranty period regarding this issue. The flooring shown is a click lock vinyl. It appears to have been effected by impact. Despite the project being well outside the warranty period. Repairing this floor has costs for labor , materials and carries liability. We can not provide the service for free 5 years after installation"

A year later and I have to look at my floors everyday with disappointment. I am so disheartened in choosing S and M. 17k gone. I do not have the money to get someone out and fix my floors. There are mistakes everywhere and I wish I never went with them. Word of advice, be very careful when pick it your floor installers. Do not make the same mistake I did. Lesson learned. All the boards are separating. They started doing this maybe a month into project completion. I need subfloors and flooring done

We haven’t received any negative feedback from our other clients and your satisfaction is very important to us. According to our records, you paid $7500 for your flooring with us and your numbers are inflated , maybe your review is too , you posted one picture with a gap in the floor. With an entry level vinyl plank that can happen if there is too much moisture under the floor. Have you had any damage from the recent storms ? Your flooring was installed on the second floor , if the air conditioning was off for a long period of time and a lot of moisture was present , it could create some issues like this. Give us a call and we will make it right for you."

Michael was great! He was able to get me in between so much of the work he has to do due to the hurricanes. He arrived head of schedule, got to work and replaced my damaged tiles. They look like they’ve always been there! Will definitely call him again for any more floor work I have to do.

We were in a bind as our plans fell through because of HOA requirements and needed someone fast. I went on Anji and saw S&M, took a chance and Mike called within five minutes. He was professional and honest and his crew were too. They did a beautiful job of putting down a soundproofing underlayment and new flooring throughout our condo. They even hauled away the old floors and pricing was very fair too. They left the condo clean and we're responsible and respectful. Two day after flooring was installed I heard cracking ans snapping when riding my electric chair over the floor I ask Mike about and he said it was small stones cracking under the Laminate I ask him if he should put a barrier first he said no it wouldn't be need ed.. well needless to say it was need as the pictures will show

We are renovating our kitchen. When we removed the existing kitchen island and cabinets, there were some areas that had no hardwood flooring. We had some left over pieces from the previous owner but also bought some replacement planks. Full transparency - not exactly the same as the original, but that is not the complaint. We asked them to "feather-in" the replacements within the existing blanks. They did not - there are straight seams across most spots. They also did very strange, small cut pieces that do not match any of the existing floor. I wish I could upload photos. Scheduling communication was bad which should have been a red flag. They also realized they had taken some of our contractors equipment - a shop vac they thought was theirs. We caught that but missed some of shop vac accessories. I reached out to Michael to get them returned and received no response. They were supposed to return in a couple of days but did not.

"I do apologize , we did advise at the time of estimate you were supplying a floating floor to be installed into a glue down floor and some of it could not have been done the way it should have. Your wife was aware of this at the time of estimate and said to just fill the holes."
