Smith and Sons Sealcoating, LLC, an affiliate of Hatch Enterprises, with 2 locations servicing Detroit and surrounding Flint areas, is a "quality driven" company that offers complete asphalt maintenance. Our primary phone number is for the Detroit area, while for Flint and the surrounding areas, please call 810-232-5566. We use coal-tar or can use eco-friendly sealcoat (upon request). Our upmost concern is quality and customer satisfaction. We use commercial grade sealer mixed with additives to ensure your asphalt stays protected and looks great. We are a very clean company that edges the grass along the driveway, removes all weeds, tapes the concrete if necessary, and makes a nice straight line at the end of the driveway. We apply the sealer by hand using either a brush or squeegee. When applied by brush or squeegee, the pores in the pavement are filled providing the most effective protection for your pavement. This provides a thick and even application of sealer. Although, spraying is the most cost effective method, we choose not to spray because it applies a very thin coat to the asphalt leaving it less protected. Spraying does not fill in the pores of the asphalt.(exception of spraying of commercial jobs where we use a lot bigger spray tips, but there is a lot of over spraying which is not idea for homes) Customer satisfaction is also our major concern. We want to make sure every job is perfect every time. We always aim to exceed our client's expectation. We do not just want to seal your driveway once. We prefer to build a customer relationship and every time you have a problem, you can count on us to solve it.

"We have thousands of satisfied customers. The asphalt that we use comes from Cadillac asphalt or from Ajax, The same companies that put in our major road that we drive on every day. I am sorry for your bad experience, we try to remedy this problem several times with you only to be told out we could not do because you were going out of town. The same happened when we tried to do the job you could pick and different dates for it to be done. In this industry I guess you can’t make everybody happy. There is no need for name calling and saying someone is a bad actor."
