Smith & Ramirez Roofing was outstanding! We have a very large roof, so we knew we were in for a big, expensive job. Admittedly, we were apprehensive given past bad experiences with other service providers. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by the punctuality, professionalism, and patience of Armando, Alex and the whole Smith & Ramirez team! Multiple consultations were held to ensure we had a full and complete understanding of everything entailed in the process prior to beginning. Though we had myriad questions throughout, Alex and Armando were always patient and eager to help. The crew were punctual and cleaned up at the end of every day, including a thorough search and collection of all stray nails that had fallen. Alex and Armando also provided copious photos of each stage of the process and helped coordinate insurance claims. They truly went above and beyond with impeccable service and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. We highly recommend Smith & Ramirez Roofing--you will not be disappointed!

Alex Ramirez gave us first rate service leading us through the process, describing the various types of roofs, and was very patient and professional in answering all our questions. Alex is very knowledgable and friendly. He was easy to reach, made all appointments, and kept us informed every step of the way. His office staff was also easy to reach and very helpful. The foreman and roofing team that did the actual work showed up on time each day and did a great job tearing off the old roof and disposing of it. The job-site was left clean and Alex personally came over to make sure everything was to our liking. The new roof looks so great that several neighbors came over to ask about the work that was done. They responded to my request for quote very quick (still haven't heard from any of the other potential contractors). Since I was paying out of pocket and with a check, work got started almost immediately. They're not cheap, and they'll tell you that, but I have to agree that the work that was performed was exceptional. John walked us through everything. A little over a week after requesting a quote, the job is done and we're pleased. If you have the money, this is probably the best that you can get.

Excellent product and Professional servce

"Smith and Ramirez" did an excellent job on my roof replacement. Prior to hiring them, they provided me with a pic and address portfolio of work they had previously performed within the El Paso, TX area. This allowed me to go look at finished jobs as a representation of their workmanship and to help decide on the color scheme I was looking for. A bonus was that I was able to get testimonials from the homeowners as well. They took the burden of working with my insurance off my hands to get approvals for additional work, finished the job on time and within the budget they estimated. Would most assuredly recommend Tye and Alex, co-owners of "Smith and Ramirez" to anyone needing a professional roof replacement job!

Very well. Mr. Ramirez discovered hail damage and coordinated the claim with my insurance company to come in on budget to meet their adjustment. I accepted calls from three companies to supply me quotes. One missed their appointment and never contacted me again. Another did come by and present an estimate, but never contacted me after that. Smith and Ramirez showed up to each appointment on time and prepared to answer questions and do business. Would recommend without reservation and would use again if needed.

Touch and go. You call them and then they say they will try and get someone out there to fix it and it can take several days.

After membrane install 3 years ago there have been several leaks. Last one in May 2017. Alex Ramirez one of the owners stalled and did not return calls to fix problem. I tried to contacted the office manager and another one of the owners, they never returned call. I finally contacted IB Roof Systems(manufacturer of membrane) to intercede. Alex Ramirez finally did show up to fix leak. However did not fix the water damage inside house as he had promised upon original installation. I have left several messages with no response. I deeply regret having contracted this bush league company.

Smith and Ramirez won my business after I talked to and received quotes from 6 other roofing companies in the area.  They met with me on my schedule, which was often late in the evening or on weekends.  They took the time to explain to me my options with the products they're licensed to install and helped me understand the insurance claim process.  The work was completed in 3 days, as promised, and the roof really does look great.  Nothing but kudos for the team at Smith and Ramirez!

Ale came out the very next day to do an inspection on a house I am buying.  We called and spoke with Alex.  He came out the next day and inspected the roof.  He arrived promptly at the appointment time.  Alex gave us an honest assessment of the condition and damages (hail) he found as well as past repairs, estimate of future performance, and his recommendations. Alex was easy to work with, is very knowledgeable in his profession, and I will be using him again. <br />

Since I purchased this house in 2001 I <br /> have had to replace the entire roof twice.  Being a flat roof meant water <br /> was able to pond and seep through shingles and tar.  Every time it rained I <br /> had to worry about it leaking somewhere.  After some hail damage late <br /> summer 2014, I was approved from my insurance to purchase a new roof. <br />  This time I did my research and asked around and Smith&Ramirez <br /> roofing was always in the top three.  Alex the company's project manager <br /> did an outstanding job explaining to my wife and me how the IB Roof membrane <br /> would eliminate leaks for as long as we own the roof.  The technology has been around since the 70?s <br /> but is starting to catch on for flat or low pitch roofs in today?s market.  The price was around 20% higher than shingles <br /> and tar, and I was unsure if the insurance would cover the entire amount.  Alex, stated El Paso city code changed around <br /> 2009 for flat or low pitch roofs.  He <br /> said he would work with our insurance and ensure they received everything they <br /> needed for approval.  Alex was right, <br /> after about a week the insurance approved the roof and work was started.  Workers were always on time, very friendly, and <br /> very respectful when I asked them questions.  <br /> The time it took to fix and replace the entire work was a little over a <br /> week.  It takes a little more time to <br /> install a roof of this quality than a standard shingle/tar roof.  They had an outstanding crew to fix the ceilings <br /> where leaks happened inside the house.  <br /> No one is able to tell where we once had leaks because of the <br /> professional work. <br /> Once the roof was finished Alex ensured that <br /> all our needs were met, he did an outstanding job following up with us weeks <br /> after everything was completed.  It has <br /> rained several times the past few months, and not one leak.  I would highly recommend this company to <br /> anyone who wants to have a quality roof repair.  <br /> Especially if you have a flat or low pitch roof.  Smith&Ramirez did more than fix my roof, <br /> but they helped ensure that my family will always have a dry and comfortable <br /> home.  Thank you. <br />   <br /> Jerry <br />

Quality people doing quality work efficiently. They did an excellent job putting up with me. Very professional. More of a B+ than a B overall but Angies List didn't give me that option. Almost an A. I'm impressed with the quality of their business. <br />

They were here early and worked late but completed the job in only one day. That is hauling off the old materials, installing the new roof and clean up. That was the best job that I could have imagined. They have been back twice already just to check on how we like it. All the neighbors have commented on how fast and how nice the roof looks. We are very pleased with the work! <br />

It went very well.  The contractor was actually very patient with us since both of us work and do not arrive home until late in the evening.  He made sure to call us after 7:30pm on the land line or cell phone.  He followed up with the adjusters review of the roof and was able to advocate for us for an additional monetary supplement.  He was very easy to get along with and readily available to us by telephone. <br /> <br />
