No other way to describe the experience other than a nightmare. Not only did the company crush and break multiple roof tiles during their installation of concrete roof panels but they tried to glue cracks with thick white glue as well as just left crushed and cracked tiles on my roof. When a roof leak developed that poured water into our bedroom they denied any responsibility for the roof leak and tried to pressure a roofer into writing a report that released them from any liability in our roof leak. We have been dealing with this issue for over 8 months now and have lost our homeowners insurance because of it and they have threatened us with a lawsuit if we do not remove our honest review about what has transpired. Luckily the roofer who they pressured to write the report releasing them from any liability was an honest and honorable gentleman who has sent one of his roofers to our home to take new pictures of everything to show us what was located on our roof. We tried our best to work with Solup to get this problem fixed but they refused and now the German man who owns the company is accusing us of trying to blackmail him. I am a retired ER doctor and my wife is a retired school teacher and the last thing we need to worry about is trying to blackmail anyone for anything. We have now hired our own consumer protection attorney and are in the process of bringing a lawsuit against the company. This is a very dishonest company and if you see the pictures of my roof and what was located there under these solar panels you will understand exactly what I mean. You can go to Google reviews and or Yelp to se the pictures. Not sure if Angies list will allow for pictures but if they do I will post them here.

Very well. They have lived up to their reputation on Yelp as the cheapest and best solar installer in greater Las Vegas. Their sales manager Dan gave me 25 year transferable full labor warranty on solar panels, inverter, roof racks, bird protection panels, including to the manufacturer's transferable 25 year warranty on these items. Dan told me that after you have bargained down to the best price, then if you mention my name, Tien Cheng, M.D., he will extend the same warranty as he gave me. Panasonic, the solar panel manufacturer , also warranties that at 25 years after installation, (presumably several house owners later, the panels will continue to produce >90% of electricity as day 1. If we assume that electric rates increase 5% per year, I shall break even after 7 years. If we assume no rate increase, I shall break even after 9.3 years.

Very well. The system produces slightly more electricity than promised by the contractor. The contractor is the cheapest in town, but they have most customer satisfaction according to my research and findings in Yelp. I bargained with the sales manager Dan, such that I get 25 years warranty for labor and materials on solar panels, inverter and racks. Dan also promised me that after you bargained them to the lowest price, then if you mention my name, Dr. Tien Cheng, he will also give you 25 year transferable warranty on labor, in addition to the 25 year transferable manufacturer warranty on all materials (solar panels, inverter(s) and roof racks. Everything went excellent from the first appointment to the finishing of the project. Dan showed up for the estimate appointment on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. And in a strange twist, at least for me, never pressured us to purchase their products or service. In fact we said that we were ready to move forward at that appointment and he told us that they would prefer that we had time to think about it before we commit so they do not even bring anything to close the deal on the initial appointment. Zach and his crew showed up as scheduled and spent the exact amount of expected time installing the panels, they were very professional and friendly. Anytime we have had questions everyone at Sol-Up, from Dan to Zach, to anyone else we have had contact with, has been quick to find us answers. If you want to save some money on your electric and utilize that big yellow ball in the sky I highly recommend Sol-Up, they are awesome.

I would like rate the Sol-Up Solar Company at 5+ stars. We had an excellent experience in having our Solar panels installed. Everybody was quite professional at the Sol-Up Solar company and my wife and I look forward to seeing virtually no energy bills in the years ahead. Mr. Frank Rieger/CEO took the time to educate my wife and I about Solar technology and the superior products that Sol-Up has selected that best withstands the Desert environment/heat here in Las Vegas. Additionally, Frank explained about the current financial benefits (30% Federal Tax Credit and the recently passed 2017 Nevada State Law regarding Net metering - currently at 95%) helping my wife and I in our decision to choose Sol-Up And going with Solar for our home. I went shopping for a ground mount solar system and received several bids over a two month period. <br /> Sol-up had the best installed price and had the best technology. No sales BS... just a clean bid with proven technology. <br /> I knew what I wanted in a system going in. I was looking for a company that did not try and sell me something I did not need. <br /> The system is now on line and we are building energy credits for next summer. <br />

<p>Mari King, who is a representative and gives the proposals for Sol-UP is one of the most professional people I've seen since we moved to Las Vegas.</p> <p>Her presentation was thorough, informative, and complete. Her proposal walked us through what our roof would look like with the panels, how they worked, the process of putting them up, the paperwork needed for the HOA and NV Energy, which she did and processed for us, everything! </p> <p>One could not have asked for a better presentation!</p> <p>She followed up on everything she said she would; she returned e-mails with my questions the same day; she went out of her way to make sure all was going to plan and that we were happy. </p> <p>Between her and the installation crew, I cannot say enough about what a pleasant experience this was. (And we all know how bad it can be if one gets thoughtless, sloppy and irresponsible crews working on your house.)</p> <p>I would highly recommend this company - you will not be disappointed. Sol-Up is a great company with exception customer service. They were professional and honest with me and we received a fantastic deal. They took excellent care of us as stated above. I alwys feel welcome to call with questions and they follow up on our system regularly to double checks that it is working properly. Who could ask for more??? We had contacted other companies prior to hiring them and never felt as confident that they knew exactly what to and they were the right choice. From Mari to Frank I know that I am in good hands. The system looks beautiful on the roof an comes with a 25 year warranty.We highly recommmend Sol- Up to anyone wanting to install a solar system. The price does vary on the number of panels needed which is determined by the size of the home . This is why I did not put the actual cost . <br />
