I hired Solaris to help with a home I just purchased that has aluminum wiring. For the same price another company quoted me for just the AlumiConn connectors Solaris obtained the permit fee, insalled the AlumiConn, and upgraded my electrical panel with ArcFaul circuit interupted breakers to ensure the property was safe and insurable - so I felt the price was worth it. I was working with a short window of time to obtain homeowners insurance so I appreciated how fast Solaris was able to come out and complete the job. The women I worked with over the phone, Ida, was extremely helpful in breaking down my options, payment process, ect. and was even available to talk to after my regular work hours. Overall I have nothing but positive things to say, thank you so much for a fast job well done.

They charged my and $89 service fee to provide the estimate which is ridiculous. I honestly don't recall if it was disclosed up front but I didn't recall it when he asked. The electrician was on time and courteous and appeared to be knowledgeable. Estimate, however, was outrageous at $2,837. The material is about $20 worth of cable. Waiting to hear on a followup request submitted through their website.

Excellent! My main panel needed to be replaced after temporary repairs made by another electrician failed. Richard asked if I could send him a picture of my current panel and he was at my house within a couple hours and replaced the entire panel. I was amazed at how fast he was finished and also how clean his work was. Solaris was one of 4 electricians that I called and not only did Richard commit to having it finished the same day, he also came in with the best price. If I ever need electrical work in the future, Solaris gets the job.

Richard was amazing. He and his colleague were friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I was impressed by their speed and cleanliness. They made sure every step of the way that I was satisfied with their work, and even upgraded some of my switches to include remote controls without an extra charge. They even rehung an ceiling fan that had a slight wobble so that everything ran perfectly. The Solaris team went above and beyond, and I highly recommend them.

We were happy with the switch rewiring. However, the pricing they provided on everything else was extremely high based on subsequent quotes we got from other licensed electricians. We would not use them again for that reason. <br />

Richard took down a ceiling fan from an 8 ft ceiling and capped it off - pretty easy. Then he replaced two standard outlets - one in a bathroom and one in an enclosed patio area. The cost for these small jobs was $222.00 - which I thought to be a little high for the work performed, especially since I had an "Angie's Deal". <br /> I really didn't need the 'inspections' he included by looking at the circuit box in the garage, etc.- but he did go the extra mile by screwing in some bulbs I couldn't reach at no charge and taking a look in the attic. <br /> He was polite and very knowledgeable. I would advice getting a confirmed pricing to compare with others before making an appointment - just to be sure you are okay with the costs. <br />

please read above. seems like a scam to me to drive money to angies list. The provider told me the 29.00 paid for the service call actually goes to angies list. IS that true? <br />

They were good. They were prompt. They charged for a diagnostic which I didn't know they were going to do. They charged $52 more for that and replaced a switch for another $50.

The inspector Richard Girialdo arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and proceeded with the inspection. Following the inspection, verbally described the deficiencies and then went to his truck where he sent an e-mail detailing the inspection. The cover page on the e-mail thanked for choosing Solaris BUT then wanted at least a 4 rating in google/angieslist/yelp/and local yahoo to receive a $25.00 gift card. I am an Angies List member - oblviously - but I do not expose myself to google/yelp and local yahoo of which several wanted membership fees. Also although this service had to be obtained with a credit card - any follow up service have to be in I guess cash or Visa, MC or AMex to which a 2.75% fee would be applied. It took from 12/13/2013 date of service, e-mail request on 12/27 and 01/13/2014 to finally receive to recieve a quote of $681.07 for the refernced project on 01/14/2014 - (I realize there were holdiays, but ..). The quote contained a service fee of $60.00 (in addition to the $49.00 previously paid for the inspection) replacement of 7 smoke detectors - all working but over 10 yoa @ $105ea/$735 with a $39.99 discount ea for $456; Kitchen GFCI $52 and Misc Repairs (5 items) $105 - not individually priced as identified on the inspection (anti-oxidant missing in lugs [main lug panel] , surge protector installed incorrectly, old surge protector is still installed - douple tap, GFCI outlet in patio does not function to specification, outside receptacle is not rated for outside use, UPS with Automatic Voltage Detection) - all voltaqe regulator and outside GFCIs installed by reputable big name Service and . Qutoe was good for 7 days. This is like a bait-n-switcfh: pay $49 for the inspection by cc then charge another $60 for service call and 2.75% is credit card is used for services. Will give $25.00 gift certificate (to where unknown) if give 4 rating on others for fees. This is whole thing is disingenuous. I do not trust their inspeciton at this point and will find another vender through Angie's List. I apologize for the lateness of this review as I hate to say negative things against a small business in my community.
