Daniel and his group were not only professional but were pleasant personally. They were one afternoon and gave me a quote emailed me that night and were available to repair in a day! This is after calling company after company who seemingly didn't want my money or business. I already have another job planned with this company since i was so impressed with this first job.

I  want to give someone a very good rating. It's a roofing company. During Matthew, the hurricane we just had, I have a huge tree come down on my house  and this company came out and fixed my roof and the whole ceiling came down my bedroom and they replaced it and they told me that they would make it look like it never happened and they really did. They were wonderful. They did it all. I mean they literally came and fixed everything like nothing happened. Before Matthew, I have an issue with my roof and he came and fixed that and that's how we found them. After Matthew, it was a massive problem and they came out and really did a great job on it. I had a small problem on the roof, that led to, there was leaking around it. I called them, they came out, did the estimate and started working immediately and I could never tell I had a problem as soon as I had a tree on my roof. I had three guys to take it off and I really needed my roof fixed. Half my ceiling was down on my bedroom. It was a horrendous mess. There are people who have a two-month waiting list for their roof and these people came out immediately to fix it.  Daniel, he is the sales person or the person who comes out and does the estimates on the work and tells you what's wrong. He gets the crew here. In less than 12 hours, they're working. It was better than it never happened. They did a great job. Too bad you don't have an A plus. They came quickly. The do the work very well just like they say they would and they cleaned after themselves. They were very professional. Not any delays. Not any BS. They come. They work. They fix it all. They clean up and then they leave. You really get your money's worth with them. Here in Florida, the construction and roofing people is just normally not this early. They did both jobs definitely less than anybody else wanted to do them. A plus on the quality. They used all top-of-the-line stuff. They took pictures all the way to what they are doing because you can't climb up on the roof to see what they're doing. They send you the pictures to see what's going on which is really very nice. You see what materials they're using and what quality. I am a very pleased customer.

Julio provided us with an incredibly detailed estimate, complete with pictures he took of the existing damage to our (very old) roof. He explained every facet of the process of replacing a roof, and gave us price comparisons on many different options for our roof. Julio was the only roofing contractor who actually took the time to explain every detail to us - some came to do the estimate and told me "I don't want to bore you with details"! Excuse me, I'm paying a TON of money for this, please give me every detail possible! Julio took the time to make sure that we were making educated decisions about our roof. His team were polite and worked hard at making our roof look great. Julio also took pictures detailing the entire process so we could have proof of the work without having to guess. Our patio roof had been installed incorrectly, causing damage and leaking in our patio. Juilo was happy to fix this issue for us while doing the reroof. They also completed some other repairs our insurance company asked for, in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. Juilo is very easy to talk to and work with, and we would be happy to work with him in the future! <br />

This was not an easy job for Solidway.  Our house is very old and it is a two story home with a VERY STEEPLY PITCHED ROOF!  Our job was turned down by two roofing companys (because of the dangerous pitch of our roof) prior to finding Solidway . . . and so, so happy we did find them!!!  The job could not have gone any smoother and  <strong>Julio Dopico </strong>and his entire crew could not have been any nicer.  Thank goodness they were so well experienced and knowledgeable . . . and brave enough to take on our job.  Julio was with us every step of the way.  He is a very patient man and helped us make very good decisions with every aspect of our new roof.  The crew was punctual, professional, accommodating, hard working and very neat.  They showed up on time, let us know what they would be working on, immediately got to work and except for the dumpster, they left our house and yard looking untouched for the few days they were here. <br /> I would <strong>HIGHLY</strong> recommend Solidway Construction for your roofing needs and I would certainly call them again for <strong>ANY</strong> future construction needs of my own.

Julio Dopico, the owner worked with me personally to make sure that the underlying structure AND the roof were restored to and brought up to proper and current function and standards. He was honest, polite, and efficient in assessing the problems and needs. He explained his plans for addressing and resolving the problems and carried it out. Further items were discovered when well into the project. These were discussed and agreed upon. He was a gentlemen and is an unusually knowledgeable and honest vendor. I give him him ratings and my thanks for his service and assistance in resolving of needs. <br />

312This company took several weeks to get back to me after my initial call just to give me a quote.  Once work was scheduled it was delayed several times. Then once done there were still areas left that were not done as described.  I am not secure that the work has been done well and do not have confidence in this company. <br />

The owner Julio Dopico initially was very nice and informative.  He quoted me for a re-root of architectural shingles, new skylight, and new chimney.  When he came to my home the second time he said that costs went up 10% from the initial quote; I hired him because it was a great price and he explained everything.  He asked for money up front even tho the website says no money up front.  I paid the 33% he indicated was due up front and the job was suppose to start on 7/24/2014.  No one showed up and he was very difficult to reach until the job finally started.  The job eventually started on 7/28/2014 and did not finish until 8/1/14.  The weather did not cooperate so the re-roof took longer.  I gave final payment on 8/1/2014 and asked for Solidway Construction to send notice of completion to my insurance company.  When Julio found out I was using insurance he asked if I could sign a piece of paper to allow him to speak to insurance and attempt to recover the costs of the chimney because it was initially damaged and rotted.  I went on vacation and was gone in and out of the country for about 1 month.  When no final check for the depreciation came I called the insurance company and Solidway.  I came to find out that he submitted an addendum charging for the chimney, wood he didnt use, double costs, permits, and labor.  A few days later I received a certified letter from a roofing supply company indicating that the materials Solidway Construction picked up for the job were not paid for and that a lien would be put on my home.  We talked and he said that the only way he could guarantee he would get more money from the insurance company was to keep the materials unpaid.  I spoke to him again and on 9/9/2014 and he indicated that if he could get more money from the insurance company that he was going to do just that.  If my contract indicated 2 sheets of plywood and $50/sheet thereafter and he can charge the insurance company for 65.00 a sheet that he would.  My contract also included no costs for permits and the dumpster.  He subsequently charged the insurance company for that.  The chimney was a separate line item that I paid for and he charged for more than he contracted me for to get the insurance to pay more.  The piece of paper he urged me to sign AFTER final contract payment was made was to advocate on my behalf to the insurance company.  He used it as a means to advocate for himself and has since refused to provide pictures of replaced wood other than chimney which was contracted separately and wood used above the 2 sheets he included in the contract.  Julio Dopico from Solidway Construction is trying to strong arm me and the insurance company to pay more than that contracted price after FINAL payment was made when the job was completed. <br /> <br /> 9/16/14 update: <br /> <br /> The response to this review is off base.  I understood the change in costs from the initial quote.  I hired Solidway for a contract price of 9810 which included a re-roof, sky light, and new chimney.  On August 1, the second payment was made for 2/3 of 9810.00 which was the complete contract price and the roof was done.  I went on vacation and came back to find that you used an illegally notarized form to submit for almost 5000.00 additional dollars from the insurance company. Note that the submission of these additional costs were done after you were paid in full for the contracted price.  I have subsequently received a letter from the roofing supply company that you have not paid them for the materials used on the roof and they would put a lien on my home and start foreclosure proceedings.  Solidway has since refused to pay for the materials they ordered, signed for, and used in the project.  Using an illegally notarized form and submitting for extra costs, after you were paid for the services, to the insurance company and holding my home hostage is fraud.  I will use every tool, legal and non legal, to defend my home.  I have all the documentation to do so and will seek remedy through civil and criminal law. <br /> <br /> 9/24/2014 <br /> <br /> AGAIN!  As stated above.  The new quote with the increase in cost over 9 months was accepted when you quoted me 9810.00 for a new roof.  That quote included the roof, chimney, and skylight.  All items were separate and negotiated before the contract was signed.  No other extra work was performed.  On August 1, 2014 you were paid in full by credit card even though Solidway did not complete everything including a wind mitigation and delivery of release from contractors.  Julio Dopico was very insistent that he be paid before letting the insurance company know that the roof was completed.  Solidway has since then attempted to recover an additional almost 5000.00 after being paid.  Solidway realized that insurance was paying for my roof and is trying to extort me to get extra money by not paying the roofing supply company.  Solidway has told the roofing supply company that the quote for 9810.00, which was paid, does not include materials and therefore would be putting a lien on my home.  This issue has been turned over to the state, legal authorities, and an attorney.  Fraud and extortion are against the law. <br /> <br /> 9/25/2014 <br /> <br /> Let me make this clear so that people reading this understand.  You did not do any extra work.  All the work that was performed was contracted.  You charged for the roof, chimney, and skylight all in the contract.  I have all documentation with the itemized pieces of the contract.  You are trying to get more money from the insurance company which you did not work with to start this project.  You realized that if you had been involved with insurance you could have made more money and are trying to charge nearly 5000.00 more.  I have the bill that you submitted to them.  You are double charging for things I already paid you for and are now refusing to pay for the materials you bought and signed for as a means of bullying me to have the insurance company give you more money.

Initially the crew left a mess. They held off cleanup until the following day. I had one minor concern which was addressed more than satisfactorally. The cleanup on the second day was very thorough. I am very happy with the results. <br />

It turned out fine.  They informed me of a lot of work that needed done that I chose not to pursue at the time.  The gentleman was polite and professional.

I got the number off of Angie's List and was extremely happy with the service and final outcome of the roof. I would recommend this company to anybody looking to put a new roof on their house. <br />

Solidway Construction promptly came to provide an estimate for a roof leak I was having. The work was done professionally and I was happy with their service. I would recommend their services in the future. <br />

I had a leak which I fixed in a DIY manner about a year ago, so when I saw the deal on sealing and inspection, I grabbed it.  <br /> Julio came out and sealed and inspected the roof.  His conclusion was that the roof had about 8 years of life left, and that I should do repairs around the chimney and vent stacks totaling $1030.  I wasn't surprised, but wanted to get a few estimates before I did the work.  I got three other estimates-- all of them concluded that the roof has less than 2-3 years of life, is not worth repairing.  The chimney wood is fine, but there are several "soft" spots where the wood under the shingles is nearly rotted through.  I wanted to see for myself, so I climbed into the attic, and yes, the wood in the indicated areas is completely black and rotted, and the chimney wood is fine.  I don't know how Julio missed this when he was doing the sealing and inspection as one of the other roofers showed me the soft spot by stepping on it and showing me the "give" that indicates wood rot. <br /> I liked Julio a lot, and he was professional and punctual and everything you want, but in the end, I think his conclusion was wrong. <br />

We called a few roofing companies and was hoping for a quick response. Solidway( Julio) called us that afternoon and promised to be right over to survey the problem. He was very polite and discussed the problem with us so that we knew exactly what was needed and what he was planning to do. I was attracted to their company because it's a family operated business and customer satisfaction is their goal. Mr. Dopico is very professional, honest and responsible. At first, I chose Advantage Roofing.  He did come for estimate.  We almost got Advantage to do the job.  Solidway happened to know about our need thru Service Magic.com and happened to be in the area; he insisted on giving us a proposal which was much more affordable. We feel lucky and happy with his work. He deserves to be on Angie's list.  His work is good quality wise with affordable price.
