Dave contacted me promptly after being contacted through Angie's List. We set up an appointment for him to come by the see what exactly needed to be done to complete the job. He showed up on time for the appointment, gave me an estimate and a time frame for the work. He did a great job on the ceilings. I am very pleased with the results. Dave was also easy to reach via phone and text throughout the project, very courteous and professional. I will absolutely be using Dave for future projects and definitely recommend him! <br />

ted We met with David to discuss remodeling the kitchen.  We explained what we wanted to do and he suggested ideas and showed us some pictures of other jobs.  He quoted a price that we were satisfied with.  We contacted other contractors and weren't able to get any response.  As we discussed the renovation with David, we told him that after the kitchen was done we were going to replace the flooring, probably the following year.  He asked if he could bid on the additional work which we agreed to.  David gave us a reasonable quote on the entire job and we accepted.  My wife and I live in Maryland and the home we were remodeling is in Surfside Beach, South Carolina.  David and his partner, Larry was very professional and was able to complete the project within the two and a half weeks that we agreed to.  We are extremely happy with the final product and would highly recommend this company to others. <br />

My experience with them was very good.  They had worked for me a couple of different times.  They are honest and they do what they say they would do.  They are usually on time.  They are good people.

Dave and his guys arrived when he said they would.Before they started they covered my hardwood floors completely with plastic and cloths.They cleaned up at the end of every day,never leaving the house looking like a building site,top marks for tidiness.Dave communicated with me throughout the entire project,making suggestions and listening to what I wanted.I love my new rooms,it goes without saying I will be using Dave on my next project,which hopefully I will be doing in the next few weeks. <br />

He said 2 days for an estimate, and it took 2 1/2 wks. He didn't listen at all, did what he wanted, and most important, dragged the refrig over a living room floor with only a tarp under it, and left 2 large 10 ft. scratches in the floor which he still hasn't fixed. We are in the process of seeing a lawyer. He keeps saying he can't fit it in, but the job isn't done, until it is fixed. He didn't plug in the fridge when he put it back and he has many excuses for everything. He laid a floor and there is a tile right in the middle sticking up. He left a huge mess over New Years Day and we spent the day cleaning it up. He didn't have his countertop people put a tarp up in the entryway until the house was full of white dust. He doesn't work well with women clients. He was told numerous times to deal with the woman and refused to. He is trying to get out of repairing the living room floor or replacing it by saying he is too busy with other jobs at this point, and the way he wanted to do it, probably won't work because of the nature of the floor and it will all have to be relaid.  I could go on and on with the lies he told us. He stood in the kitchen and told us we could use it in a day and a half after deciding how he wanted to lay it, and five days later, we were still not able to use the kitchen. We are extremely disappointed in Angies List for listing him.  He created more damage than he was worth and doesn't have the morals to finish the job and fix what he has destroyed. We will get a judgement against him but that should never have been necessary against a reputable firm.  It doesn't make your site look good. <br /> <br /> UPDATE: Scratched 10 ft. marks in a living room floor while moving a refrig during a kitchen remodel. Update on his promise to fix the floor in living room is that we never heard from him again after repeated calls to answering machine and letters from a lawyer regarding legal action.  Only a deceitful coward acts like that.  It also puts your service in a very bad light and we have nothing good to say about his service or yours.  We ended up hiring someone to fix the floor who knew what they were doing and they had to replace half of the living room floor.  Instead of further legal action, we are making sure the word gets out of our experience with his service.

My wife and i went to our beach house in September thinking of getting estimates for remodeling our kitchen.  We were hoping to find someone that would be able to complete the remodeling during the month of September while we were there.  We also wanted to remove carpeting in the home and install laminate flooring but thought we would wait until next April to have that work done.  The kitchen was a priority because of having to relocate a bar counter and remove an island cook top.  This would have to be done before any flooring could be installed.  We called a few contractors found on Angie's List and David Mawra from South End Remodeling was our chosen contractor.  We explained what we wanted to have done in the kitchen and he was able to satisfy all our questions.  We agreed on a price and was assured the work would be done within our time frame.  We told him of our plans for the flooring next Spring and indicated that we were purchasing the materials from Lumber Liquidators.  He asked if we would consider him to do the flooring installation and showed some pictures of other jobs he has completed.  We already had a quote from Lumber Liquidators and David gave us a very competitive quote.  David also assured us that he could do the entire job including the flooring within our time frame.  We agreed to have the work done by South End Remodeling.  The work started that very same afternoon.  David and his Associate, Larry were very professional and very easy to work with.  They made some recommendations as the work progressed and were receptive to any changes in the scope of the work that my wife and I made.  They worked consistently during the week and were able to have the entire job including the flooring installation completed within two and a half weeks.  We were very impressed with South End Remodeling and pleased with the final product. <br />

I could not ask for more from a contractor. What I wanted done was done and I have no compaints at all. Very pleased!!!!! <br />

David Mawra arrived to give me an estimate for sheet rock repair a few minutes early from our scheduled appointment.  He was able to access the damages and work me up a quote on the spot.  We set a date for the following week and he came in and completed the job just as he told me it would happen.  It did take a couple of days to complete the work but I was told upfront how it would play out.  Their were no surprises and the work came out great. We started to remodel our powder room as a DIY project.  After we removed the vanity, we discovered the tile floor did not go to the wall.  Since we were installing a pedestal sink, something would have to be done with the floor. <br /> We called Dave Mawra at South End because we have seen the work he has done for other people.  An appointment was scheduled to look at the job.  Dave showed up on time and listened very patiently, as I described my vision for the powder room.  He even offered suggestions that we had not even thought of.  He suggested changing the door trim to match the base trim  we had picked out.  <br /> Dave showed up a few days later to start the project.  He arrived on time, showed up with all materials, and tools necessary to do the job.  At the end of the day, he cleaned up his mess (which was very minimal).  Working with existing conditions (walls that were not straight and receptacles in the wrong place), there are always obstacles.  When Dave pointed out a few obstacles, he also had the solution to overcome them. <br /> We are absolutely thrilled with our new powder room!!!  It turned out even better than I had envisioned.  What impressed us most was his attention to the little details.   Since this project turned out so well, we will be using South End Remodeling when we are ready to do our master bathroom. <br /> After watching him work, I am thankful we trusted Dave to do the job and not continue on our own.  I know it would have taken us significantly longer and we would not have the beautiful powder room that we do now.
