Joseph was excellent!

The ground was wet for days on both sides of my house after it would rain or if we or my neighbors would water the lawn.  The ground turned muddy.  Sparkling Jak's offered me 2 proposals.  The one I chose was several catch basins on each side of my house with rock & cloth in-between the catch basins.  The ground is now draining well.  He replaced the muddy areas with sod.  He did the work over 2 days.  I would trust him to install drainage on any of my properties.

One thing went okay. I was told that they were going to totally check out the entire lawn sprinkling system. If they did, it still doesn't work. So, it went terrible. It's still not working so I got to get someone else in here to fix it. <br /> There were no extra charged. One guy came out and he was here about 10 - 15 minutes. He did fix one thing. I think the feed in was leaking and he fixed that but that was it.

Excellent service.  Would recommend if you need your sprinkler heads calibrated or other lawn irrigation needs. <br />

Prompt courteous service.  Explained problems.  Troubleshot system.  Made additional repairs after attempting cheaper alternatives. <br />

Joe showed up on time after calling to confirm the appointment. His estimate was left open due to the inability to access some of the parts already installed. He kept me in the loop as the work progressed and the results were spectacular! I now have a completely refurbished system with new heads that cover areas that were never covered! <br /> The work was completely exceptional!  These guys worked a job that no one else even wanted to bid on! <br /> Too bad for the other guys - hooray for Sparklin' Jak! <br /> I did not expect a 'bargain' job, nor did I get one. What I got was a very fair price for an expert repair! <br /> They left the job clean and functional and did all of the programming to comply with the current watering restrictions. <br /> All in all, I was extremely satisfied, and I have been known to be a difficult and exacting customer! <br /> Don't go with the cheapest guys in town, make the call to Sparklin' Jak. You won't be dissatisfied. <br />

Called in the morning for service on my non-operating sprinkler system and the technician was there within hours.  I have a Rain Byrd sprinkler system with modules which make for an electrician type repair - something I am not capable of.  He checked to see if the system worked by trying all the different electronic buttons and confirmed it did not work correctly.  Then called the city to see if water restrictions were in place - they were not.  Then he hot wired one of the sprinkler valves and it worked confirming that a module insert was to blame.  You need this module for automatic watering.  He could have installed one for some $150 but since I said I could install it he told me where to look on the internet for the replacement part and exactly what to order and how to install it which saved me some $250 total.  Guy held my hand with his problem and made sure I understood what to do.  Definitely would use him again.  <br />

He came out to do the tuneup that I purchased through Angies list. It turned out that I needed quite a few of the sprinklers repaired. There were some tubing that had gone wrong and need repair. He was very professional and courteous. It was pricey but he did get the job done. And the sprinklers are working very well <br />

At the time of the service, I thought Joseph had done a fine job.  He replaced four sprinkler heads, adjusted others and added one with 20 feet of new pipe.  He left the new pipe exposed above ground, claiming he couldn't bury it.  He was here for all of 1 hour and 45 minutes and charged me $400.  When I questioned why I was paying what was equivalent to attorney's fees, he explained it was because of the new hardware. <br /> A few days later I saw that one of the new heads he had installed was not working at all.  I called him twice before he responded three days later and finally came out to replace it (at no charge, as it should be.) <br /> Then some ten days later when I noticed a large brown spot on my lawn, I ran a check of the sprinklers again and saw one of the heads was not rotating and another one was completely broken, streaming water in all directions.  I have now given up on Joseph after calling him three times to come out and fix everything, thus making good on the $400 I paid him.  He hasn't even had the decency to return my calls.  He is completely unprofessional, totally unreliable and I consider him a charlatan.  I'm still not sure if I'll go to the trouble of dragging him into small claims court.  Suffice it to say, you should steer clear of Sparkling Jak's.  If he returns my $400, I would gladly report that as someone making good.  I don't see that happening. <br /> By the way, when my new lawn-care company came to my home for the first time and saw the exposed, unsightly pipe, they had no trouble replacing it with a flexible pipe and hiding it below ground. <br /> Sparkling Jak's has no luster. <br />

John was professional, arrived on time, very thorough in explanations and instructions for our aged system. We talked about replacement in the future and didn't pressure us to purchase an up to date system right now. I really appreciate his honesty, sense of humor and really felt secure in dealing professionally with John. We will definitely refer him in the future and will call him back if we have further issues. <br />

What a disappointment... regular sprinkler maintenance and recommendations. <br /> A couple of months after the service I had another professional company command and I wave my sprinkler system. After the inspection and review of the system they recommended that almost $345 of additional changes to the system, so it would correctly water the yard. My understanding was their service I pay for, through this vendor was supposed to do that, as well as adjust my sprinkler system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

The technician was respectful, courteous, professional, and personable. It was obvious that he is an expert in his field and went above and beyond in his service. <br />

It worked out fantastically. My sprinkler valves had gone bad so the system was continuing to run. He was at the home for 2 days; the tech also found out that the timer was bad and needed fixing also. I wish the deal had been explained a little more clearly; the $105 was just to have them come out and evaluate. No labor was included in the deal price.

I thoroughly recommend this company which I found as a result of purchasing their 'Big Deal' offer. Their communications and responsiveness could not be better. Arrived on time and completed their work entirely to my satisfaction. <br />
