They got everything done at the time they promised. The estimate they gave was within my budget.

While that is true, I would rather have someone <br /> who was very busy than someone who was not and then them trying to get <br /> me to agree to other projects. It just means that the quality of their <br /> wor is great and they are in high demand!!! I will find something else <br /> in the future for them to do I am sure. They were very professional, <br /> courteous, and knowledgeable with everything. <br />

Justin Spaugh and an employee, came in, did the work quickly, (two days, because of a slow start), and did it for $500. The <br /> finished deck looks like new. They also made some modifications in the area around the deck so that they way water contacts the deck was rerouted. <br /> It WAS hard getting in touch with Justin by phone over a period of months -- as he was apparently very busy with a lot of jobs. It was not a big problem once be committed to doing the work. <br /> That said, the quality of his work was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. While it took longer to get the job done than I would have liked, that was a condition of him taking on the work -- as it allowed him to it this job nto his already busy schedule. <br /> I've since restained the deck -- it was time -- and you can't tell that it is not all original. <br /> I won't hesitate to use Justin again for projects in the future. <br /> <br />

We agree with the previous reviewer. Mr. Spaugh priced well and had good subcontracters, but there were times when we couldn't locate him by phone especially if he was late to appear at a scheduled time which was frequent. We had a few issues post remodeling that he did come out to check on but never followed up with information on solutions.

This project involved the demolition, redesign and rebuilding of our basement. This included a multipurpose room and bathroom. Thomas was the low bidder for the project by several thousand dollars. The project began as scheduled but demo and framing took longer than scheduled. Our completion date was moved back several time throughout the project, though that wasn't a big deal. There were times during the project when Thomas was difficult to get in touch with and he was routinely an hour or more late for his scheduled appointments. I need to add that Thomas is a contractor not a handyman and relies on sub contractors and individuals for all the work. Overall they did a good job, some were messy and didn't attempt to clean up their mess. At times I was asked to come up with a solution to a design problem when I expected his team of professionals to offer suggestions for me to choose from. In total fairness I feel my experience was good but not excellent. Thomas is a nice guy and flexible during all phases of the project. His sub contractors where honest and hard working, we got along well with all of them. If I had to do it all over again I'd probably study up and try to be my own contractor, assuming I had the time.
