Specialty Design Build

Specialty Home Improvement renovated two bathrooms and my kitchen in 2020. They did a great job, and we love the new space. But their customer service goes above and beyond the initial build. Recently, I had an issue with a water leak in one of the showers so I sent a note to my rep, and they came by the very next day to look at the situation. After 4 years, now that is customer service.

We engaged SHI to do a bathroom remodel. My partner had some design ideas, and Sheen worked with her on the design to not only implement her vision, but also made some helpful suggestions, including removing an interior bathroom wall and door. I cannot speak highly enough of SHI. It was a turnkey solution. Other contractors make big promises, but do not deliver. Or they have cut rate prices, and then the job last six months and is plagued with problems and poor workmanship. Not SHI. Sheen and Marshall regularly communicated and were often present most of the job days. SHI provided electronic tools for job and cost tracking. I found the timeline extremely helpful. The work was great and of the highest quality. The end-of-job punch list was minimal, and SHI noticed a couple items I had not. Moreover, they knocked out the punch list in short order. From design to finish, it was the easiest remodel I have experienced (this is my third bathroom remodel in different houses over the last five years). Incredibly, SHI was on time (early in fact), and under budget. The bathroom is beautiful. I recommend SHI without qualification.

Sheen has done work for us in the past so when we had a flood in the house we did not hesitate to contact Sheen to help with this whole house remodel. Sheen and workers, especially Francisco, did an outstanding job in getting our home completed, from new cabinets, flooring, drywall, new kitchen and painting throughout they made our house brand new! So appreciative in getting this completed so quickly, once insurance paid up!

Amazing company and family to work with. They built a 650 ADU for me. The were honest, professional and delivered what they promised. Look at it this way, usually with construction you have to stay on top of your contractor. It was the complete opposite. They were so on top of everything, so much so they were riding me (in a good way) to get stuff pick out etc. My house is my baby so I am very guarded with it. They never took anything personal, never questioned my concerns, never let my emotional responses get in the way and always worked with me to solve any problems I had. To say they delivered is an understatement. I just wish they did more than ADU's and home remodels! I am soo happy I pulled they trigger with them.

Really good quality professional team! Since we started renovation, the team comes everyday at 7 am to start work. I had referral from another trusted contractor. Cost will seem high in the beginning because they let you know upfront and no surprised later. . But after some research I realized cost is very reasonable. Good communication and very patient with my very many questions.

Sheen has done work for us in the past so when we had a flood in the house and needed a complete remodel we did not hesitate to contact Sheen again. Sheen was great to work with during the entire design and build process. He helped us make wise choices for our cabinets, windows, tile, and bathroom fixtures. We had a deadline and Sheen's team was able to finish as planned and on budget...not very common these days! He also helped us several months afterwards when we had a problem with our tile floor. He came to our house on multiple occasions until our issue was resolved. I highly recommend Specialty Home Improvement.

This remodel was the easiest that I have done due to the professionalism and skill demonstrated by Sheen and his employees. We were very happy with the remodel results and found this company to be very responsive and completed construction on or before agreed upon timelines. If you want a quality hassle free remodel, use this company.

Great! On schedule and on budget. I'm very impressed with Sheen's start time once we determined the final scope of work, and how he was able to stay on schedule. Everyone is very nice and leaves the house in good shape. We are very happy and recommend him to our family and friends. We also get a lot of compliments on the work as well. We will definitely use Sheen for our next project.

Overall we're very happy with the new bathroom. Specialty did very good work and is great at communicating when changes or problems come up. We had some difficulty because I selected a lot of glass subway tile for the walls, and that took longer and cost a few hundred dollars more in labor.

It went great! Sheen was experienced, professional and confident about the job when we did the initial bid solicitation meeting. He was very quick to turn around his estimate/bid to us. He has a system that he uses to facilitate communications, messages, pictures, contract documents, invoices, etc. He had a crew that began the job when they promised. The on-site crew led by Juve was really excellent. They were punctual and consistently showed up every day during the period of heavy construction. We had alot of tile work done (floor to ceiling on all walls). Juan was the primary tile master and he is very skilled and did an excellent job. These two guys and the rest of the crew, really cared about the work they were doing. They communicated with me each morning before I left for work allowing time to discuss details so that they were able to incorporate my wishes into their days work. They cleaned up each day and kept dirt and dust contained the best they could. We will definitely use Specialty Home Improvement in the future when we have other home improvement projects. We highly recommend them.

It went great. Sheen Fischer was very helpful in advising us on planning the project. Workers arrived on time every day and it moved along as quickly as we could have hoped. The quality of the work was excellent and any problems we ran into were addressed promptly. Everyone was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. We are already arranging to have some other bathrooms remodeled by the same company.

Except for three glitches, two of which involved subcontractors (granite fabricator and shower glass) and not SHI's employees, everything went fairly well. However, due to the subcontractors the project ran longer than originally estimated. SHI's employees were very accommodating and courteous. They removed all trash at the end of each day and left the site broom swept. They did an excellent job in protecting the adjacent areas of the house. SHI also coordinated the delivery of all materials to the site and put us in touch with an excellent cabinet sales person who met all our needs perfectly.

Sheen and his team were great! From the very start they were great about communication, took the time to answer our questions and were very patient with us. We felt comfortable with everyone that came into our house to do the work and all the work was done to high standards. We are so happy with the Master bath we are asking for a bid to do another bath in our house. This truly is a professional company!

Sheen and his team are wonderful to work with. From his help and advice during the planning phases all the way through to the finish work, I knew I was in professional hands. Our project manager, Al, was great with solving problems, answering questions, and keeping me updated on progress. I was particularly thrilled with Juve, who was the site/team manager. He kept me abreast of what was happening every step of the way, and went above and beyond to make sure I loved everything. Sheen himself stayed in constant communication as well. He uses a website/project management software system so that every step of the project is carefully documented and you are constantly aware of every detail. I've seen other comments mentioning his prices. I did receive lower bids from other contractors, but I've been through construction in the past and lower bids do NOT mean a lower cost in the end. From other reviews I read and from my initial meetings with Sheen, I knew this was the team I could trust with my home. With Specialty Home Improvement there were never any surprises. I DID go above budget, but it was purely because I added more projects and purchased more expensive materials. Each time I did that, Sheen was quick to talk to me to make sure knew exactly what the financial impact would be. Also, and this is important, his team showed up every single day, even on Saturdays (after checking with me first). They worked through until the project was finished. And the quality of the work was top-notch. Just beautiful. Every detail was attended to. There were no scheduling problems, and I never had the crew disappearing to handle another client (I've had that happen FAR too often in the past with other companies). There were no surprises or creeping costs. The reliability, quality, and communication are worth their weight in gold. I can't stress this enough: lower bids do not always equal lower costs. With Specialty Home Improvement, you know exactly what you will be paying right up front. This is the dream team of quality construction. You get what you pay for (and in my experience, just that little bit more).

They started when they said, nice and early in the morning too. they worked the whole day and even took care of the new carpet the was installed a week prior. They worked very efficient and smart. Work got done very fast and correct. Even on some things they asked if that was they way we wanted it done, they just asked to make sure that way it was done correct without redoing it a second time. All the work turned out GREAT, awesome job.

Sheen's company is extremely professional in all aspects. His staff were friendly and highly competent technicians. The remodel <br /> cost $7500 and enlargement of previous deadspace was $2500. The fixtures, tile and glass we chose were $6500. A first rate operation. <br /> <br />
