Imagine you are in the middle of painting your house and the painter refuses to repair the chimney because it was so bad. I fortunately contacted Specialty. I was given 3 weeks to review by other companies but Nosh not only came that evening, he left to look to match 50+year old bricks AND he was by my house at 7:30 the following morning AND tore down and replaced my entire chimney in less than 48 hours and did a skillful masterful job, (we are not related, I am just super happy to have contracted Specialty

Beginning with our initial contact, Nosh promptly returned phone calls and thoroughly answered all of my questions.  He scheduled and completed the work within a day.  The work he did for us was first rate.  He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional. I am very happy with the completed work and will not hesitate to call him in the future. <br />

Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy. <br /> When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work. <br /> Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least. <br />

I got him as a referral from some other source. Overall, the job went very well. I would absolutely recommend them. He was reliable. It was not cheap, but it was worth it.

After looking at our two repair jobs, Nosh explained in detail the work he proposed to do and the cost for each.  He discussed the options with us for fixing the front porch brick, and we agreed with his recommendation to replace all of the bricks rather than a piecemeal brick by brick replacement (about half of the bricks were bad).  Nosh impressed us with his knowledge and professional manner, so we decided to have him do the work.  <br /> Nosh started in immediately, going to three different brick sources until he found bricks that would be a close match to the bricks on our house.  He started work on the porch promptly the next morning, arriving early in the morning and working until late afternoon when it started to rain.  He returned early again the next day and finished the chimney late that afternoon.  When working on the chimney, he had planned to replace 5 or 6 courses of bricks on the chimney, but found he had to go down about 9 courses instead (he had to buy additional bricks to complete the job).  He did not charge for the extra bricks or additional labor.  He also discovered a cracked section of flue, which he replaced for only the wholesale cost of the flue liner.  He also replaced one brick on the front of the house that had cracked, and again didn't charge for the extra work. <br /> We are very pleased with the final result.  Nosh did excellent work, and clearly takes great pride in doing a quality job.  He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is right, and when he finds additional unforeseen issues, he corrects them to make it right (the cracked flue liner is a great example).  He leveled a section of concrete sidewalk in front of the porch, and reset and secured the concrete step up to the porch at no extra charge.  He took the time to find the right bricks to match the bricks from 2 decades ago used on our brick house - you'd never notice the bricks had been replaced.  Plus he's a fun guy to talk to. <br />

Nosh drilled small holes in areas of the driveway and used a special machine to put concrete under the slab of existing concrete to raise it up. It looks better but Nosh has high standards for himself. He was not happy with the results. He was able to see that the person who originally put the driveway in didn't use proper materials. This caused support material to wash away. There were very large spaces under the slabs that would take multiple truck loads of concrete to fill them in. Nosh did not feel right about charging for his work. He and his employee worked very hard all day but he would only allow me to pay for the materials he used. It is not very often you find someone as honest, diligent and has the high standards he has. In addition, he is very fair with what he charges.

We recently bought a home that had foreclosed. The previous owners had stopped taking care of the house for a long time. It has a large paver walk way and stairs to the front door as well as a walk way to the back yard. The pavers were sinking in areas, weeds were growing between them and some were loose.  <br /> Nosh made them look like they were brand new. The improvement is truly amazing! He fit us into his schedule immediately. Nosh doesn't skimp on materials and uses the highest quality product. He is prompt, thoughtful and generous. Nosh is very fair with his price and stands behind his work.  <br /> <br />

I called Nosh for an estimate on a Thursday morning. Within one hour he was at my condo. He provided an estimate and within an hour, I met him at the tile  store to pick out tile. When I arrived at the store, he had not only recommended the tile but had already pick out grout to match!! Amazing!! Had I not had plans for that evening, he was going to start  the job that day. <br /> He arrived on time the next morning and and within a day and a half, the job was done!! He was neat and clean and took away all the garbage/trash. He also provided me with some tile tips on grouting another area in the condo.. You need to hire this man!!.....You will not be disappointed. I have already reserved his time for a patio instillation in the summer <br />

We picked out the slate tile we wanted and began the process of desiging.  We had an idea of how we wanted it to look but had some concerns due to an irregular size fireplace.  We sent Nosh a picture of our fireplace and the next day, he met us at the tile shop to help us complete the design.   He was very professional and knowledgeable and had a keen eye for what looked right.  He had excellent suggestions and his input proved to be invaluable as some of our ideas would not have worked.  He installed the tile in one day and It looks absolutely awesome!  He was fast and efficient and cleaned up thoroughly upon completion.  We are extremely happy with his work and plan on using him again for our bathroom. <br />

Nosh is a superstar in my book! Extremely professional - when he says he will call or be someplace at a certain time, he will call or be there! Extremely conscientious - takes great pride in his work, wants you to be happy with the results of his work. Great disposition - seems to truly enjoy his work and it came through in all my dealings with him. I can not recommend Nosh for masonry work enough. Use with confidence. <br />

He workmanship is impeccable!  He is a perfectionist and it shows in his <br /> work.  The only thing that is on par with his workmanship is his <br /> honesty and integrity; which i happen to value greatly. <br /> He cleaned up everything after the job was done. <br />

GREAT! Nosh is great. Honest, great personality. He WILL call you and be there exactly when he says he will. Showed up at 7AM on the first day to quote the job. Showed up 7AM as he said for the day of work. He called me mid-day with a "big problem". Originally planned to replace 4 rows of brick and apply a concrete cap to the chimney. Apparently the flue was cracked, and the job required 9 rows of bricks to be replaced. He DID NOT charge extra for the bricks or extra half day of labor. He did replace 3 pieces of chimney flue (unexpected) at just the cost of parts. <br /> Finished the job in one day, cleaned up, and thanked me for my business. Perfect work, this guy knows his stuff.

Nosh did a fantastic job.  He arrived promptly at 8, confirmed what I wanted then set about his business with repairs.  When he was done with the work (and cleaning up) he walked me through all of the work he did and answered a few other questions I had.  He was gone by Noon and now I have a chimney cap that will last for many years.

Overall, Nosh, the owner, did an excellent job. He was prompt, stayed until the job was completed and was neat about his work. The completed job looked just like the original brickwork. He fixed the loose sill on the porch doorstep for free. I would use him again.

Nosh was recommended by Rick from Somerset Painting (an Angie's List Gold Star Provider) when he came to give an estimate. Rick called Nosh and he arrived at the house approximately 1 hour later to give an estimate. Although his English is somewhat broken, I was impressed with his positive nature and he explained in detail what he proposed to do. He gave two prices, one with a stone cap (he explained that it would never have to be replaced later) and one without. I called him two weeks later and gave him the job. He called me the next day and arranged to arrive the next morning at 8am. He arrived at 8:03. He began work promptly and continued throughout the day. The neighbors noted that he never left the job and was there all day. When I returned home from work, he was still working at 5pm, setting brick and completing the stone cap. He washed the brick between courses and spread drop cloths on the ground and the edge of the house to prevent mortar from sticking to the siding and getting in the landscaping. The mortar joints matched perfectly to the existing ones. He flared the top course to help with holding the stone cap, enhancing its look. He cleaned everywhere when the job was done leaving the area as clean as he found it. He was packed and ready to go home at 815 pm., a full day! To complete the job, he brought extra brick that matched the house brickwork. All of the neighbors commented on the job, noting that he did excellent work and was worth every penny that I paid him. My next door neighbor came out and asked him to provide an estimate for some work for him. While talking with Nosh, I learned that he has been doing stone, brick and tile work since he was 13, arriving in this country approximately 10 years ago. He obviously was a religious man, having a picture of Jesus Christ in his truck window. He did a great job and is very concerned about the quality of his work and satisfaction of his customers. I plan on recommending him to everyone in my office and friends, and when I retire to Georgia, bringing him there to work winters. Whether tile, brick or stone, I would recommend him and his work ethic. Guys like these are hard to find.
