Spring-Green Lawn Care

After using spring green for many years, we were concerned to find in 2016 that it came under new management. We noticed an immediate change in the lawn care and can no longer recommend. This company started using non-registered products based on molasses and other natural ingredients that had no effectiveness data besides testimonials, since they were not required to pass EPA tests to produce real effectiveness data. This also allows them to use non-licensed technicians. After they stained our driveway and I realized what "products" they were using, we cancelled this service. As a retired pesticide researcher and licensed applicator, I appreciate that real products require more expense and care in application and will only trust EPA registered products used in future. I will try to find a company that uses real products, and I would suggest that homeowners steer clear of these 'all green and natural' companies using 'snake-oil' products..

Coming into 2015 my lawn was in bad shape, i.e., brown spots, bald spots, etc.  When I received Spring-Green's brochure in the mail I logged into the web site and then left a message to call me.  Scott Bixby called me that afternoon. We spoke about 40 minutes.  A few days after my call with Scott , he came out to look at my lawn. He agreed it was in bad shape. Scott added that it may not look the way I would like in 2015 but it would look better in 2016. Scott exceeded my expectations. My lawn looks better now, in 2015 than it has in years. Spring-Green made me a believer. Great job Scott. Thank you. Looking forward to 2016! <br />

Scott has explained in person and in his leave-behind material and regular emails exactly what I need to do to maintain my yard.  The most important part is mowing at the highest mower setting, and some watering during dry periods.    Too many of my neighbors mow very short in the heat of the day, never water, and bag the clippings instead of mulching them back in.  Scott is currently dealing with the last major weed issue I have, which is some persistent nutsedge.  I am sure he will get it under control. We have tried two other lawn services and think Spring-Green is the best! <br />

They begin early spring with appropriate pre-emergent application. Summer fertilize, weed control, fall fertilization.

The service provided was fine. They showed up on time and did what I asked them to do. The people were friendly.

My experience with them was very good. I think he's very good. He works with me for 2 years and I think we have a good relationship.

He come right on time every month. He puts a sign out to keep people off of the lawn. He does everything his self. He is one guy and does not contract anything out.

The lawn looks a lot better today than it did before I hired Scott.  Each time he applies fertilizer, he leaves a note explaining exactly what he did and what I can do to improve the lawn such as raising the mower height and thinning out tree branches where there is too much shade.  He aerated and seeded the entire yard recently.  Areas that were totally bare are now covered in thick green grass.
