Square D Awnings

   Recent retirees from Washington state (rainy side) so we don't know many local contractors nor much about awnings. Mike spent about 45 minutes with me doing the original estimate. Answered all my questions thoroughly and provided good suggestions for our situation. We have a golf course view and were a little concerned about the awning blocking view when extended. He was able to represent the eye level and shadow line the awning would provide which helped with our decision. <br>   We had a tentative schedule for approx. six weeks out (awning needed to be made to order) and had a little communication hiccup when we hadn't heard anything at seven weeks. Mike responded appropriately right away, and gave us a firm installation date which worked for us.  <br>   On install, showed up on time. Very polite and professional and came up with a clean installation we just love. He asked questions during the install (height of mounting brackets, height of front bar with awning extended, etc.) to make sure we would b happy with the final result. We asked for some adjustments in level (our patio slopes slightly but the view fence is level so the reference to level was important to my wife and I who are particular about such things. Mike made all these adjustments cheerfully and it was clear he wanted us to be happy with the product. He assured us if we needed further adjustments he would be out promptly to make them without charge. He fully explained how to take care of the awning (almost maintenance free), wind load issues and reassured me BBQ smoke would not be an issue in our situation. <br>   Price was exactly as quoted and work was top notch. Square D was at the upper end of price in the research we did, but quality ratings were very high and I believe we absolutely got what we paid for. Ours was a particularly long and heavy awning and I think the house will come down before the awning does. Did a great job and would highly recommend Mike and Square D Awnings. <br> <br> <br>

Mike came out and gave me an estimate to replace my torn awning which was installed by another company.  He was on time, did not pressure me and completed the work as promised.  Very professional / Excellent service!

Prompt service and estimate by owner/installer.  Samples were brought to the house.  Professional all the way.  Went out of his way to temporarily secure my existing awing for safety until he returned to replace at no charge or questioning by me.  I appreciated the extra step!

Dan came to our home on March 25th and gave us an estimate to have 2 awnings made and installed.  He provided us with sample material and color choices.  He took a photo of the windows that would receive the awnings, went back to his office and using our color choice e-mailed us a mock-up photo of what the awnings would look like when installed.  Based upon the rendering, we gave the go ahead and signed the contract.  The awnings were installed on time, looked like the mock-up photo and we couldn't have been more pleased with the work.  I would recommend Square D Awnings to any family or friend.  By the way, the awnings went over two south facing master bedroom windows and the room is now cooler by 10 to 15 degrees during the day! <br />

These are wonderful people. They came to our home and gave us an estimate very promptly. The work was completed on schedule and the result was exactly what we wanted. They also will return at no cost to make any adjustments we require. <br />

Dan and Amy were a total pleasure to deal with. First rate throughout the entire process and I can't recommend them highly enough. On installation day we discovered we had some crossed wires regarding the color of the second floor canopy and Dan offered to replace it immediately. I chose to try it for a few weeks although he told me I had up to six months to replace it at no expense if I so chose. The color is the right one and I dont think I would have been as happy with my original choice ;). They delivered on time, the price was fair value and they were great to deal with <br />

Square D is a small company but very professional. The owner did our estimate and pointed out an area we had missed. After discussing color choices he emailed us sample pictures of our house with possible awning colors superimposed so we could see how they looked on our actual house. <br /> After we made our decision he returned as scheduled with a helper and did the installation of all four awnings in a couple of hours. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do, and did it. When they were finished he had me come out and inspect the work, pointed out where they had needed to add some additional brackets, and made sure I was satisfied before paying.  <br /> They did very good work, delivered exactly what was expected, and asked me to let him know if I spotted any problems. <br />

The repairs are working fine.  One of the shades required off-site repair.  He removed the shade, repaired it, brought it back, and reinstalled it.  All the shades are working fine several months later and I saved hundreds of dollars by avoiding unnecessssary replacements.  When I need more work I would definitely trust Square D Awnings <br />

They did a very good job.

He is an amazingly kind and hardworking man. He goes above and beyond his call of duty. They awnings and sun screens are about a year old and they still look brand new. Everything works great! I even received a refund from the city of Phoenix because of the sun screen shades. His wife even helped me with the paper work for the rebate. The price was reasonable.

They are absolutely fantastic!  They are prompt and show up on time. If for some reason they are running late, they will call ahead.

The owner, Dan Cohorst, came out and gave us a price and date for installation.  He followed up exactly as he stated and installed the product in one day.  Very easy to work with and I would recommend this company to anyone.  The qualtiy is top-notch., <br />

I called three providers to replace three fixed frame awnings; two came to give estimates. I hired Square D because his price was slightly better (not significant) and because I liked that he did everything himself (estimates, wife does sewing, he does install).  He picked up the awnings and brought them back recovered when he said he would.  The awnings look great.  I  would certainly recommend him, and will have him back when I repaint the house in a few years. <br />

The sun shade is installed, a picture will be provided if allowed. It is ready to go for summer and I am glad I invested in this business, this business man, and this incredible product!
