Very fine job. No complaints with the job and I would recommend them. I did ask to be notified when they got there and I wasn't. The gentleman said he wouldn't come up to the porch because of the tar on his shoes. I commend him for that but I think the person on the phone who said he would have him do it should be a bit more knowledgable of that fact.

S&S..Gavin from S&S promptly came out to give me an estimate and that was the final price. He was low key and thorough,unlike Power Windows of Chester. They were VERY high pressure and we were turned off by their approach. Basically it seemed like a marketing campaign with various people phoning,sometimes within an hour of each other. The right hand did not know what the left hand was doing,UNLESS it was all by design. The S&S installers were great,friendly and professional. The work was all done in one day and we are very pleased. I'd highly recommend. <br />

The installer arrived on time, preceded to do the job. He laid down a tarp on the floor and demo'd the old door. Installed the new door. He removed the tarp and vacuumed up his mess. <br /> He was very professional and left the area as he found it. Hauled out all the out material. Very pleased with them. I will consider using them again when we get new siding on our house. <br /> I owe S & S Remodeling Contractors an apology at the tardiness of this review, I thought I had done this a long time ago. <br /> <br /> <br />

I called S & S Remodeling Contractors and they came out the next day to see exactly what I needed done. After I agreed to the price , the technichan took measurements and stated it would be about six to seven weeks for the order. Once the order arrived they came on the day requested , on time and did a great job with the window replacement. There was no left over mess and I am very happy with the windows. <br />

Gary's crews were prompt, tidy and meticulous. The work on the capping, soffits and fascia look brand new. They covered the porch ceiling and surrounds, boxed in the corner stone support posts to keep birds from doing more nesting and made sure all the doors swung perfectly snugly. I recommend them all the time and others on my street have hired them too. Gary worked very hard to create a color scheme that is enduring and complementary to the house and the neighborhood. <br /> I still get comments on how nice my front porch looks with the new front door and sidelights.

The job went well; the door looks and works as good as we expected. The door was custom ordered due to size, color, and a glass insert. The time from order to installation was four weeks as expected. Snow and bad weather was forecast for the day of installation. The company called me well ahead of time to reschedule for the next day which was fine for me. The interior door trim was removed in good condition and reused. <br />

We needed a new roof and didn't want a 'fly-by-night' company. S&S <br /> has been in the Brookhaven/Middletown/Media area since the 50's. While <br /> they are not the cheapest, they ARE very, very professional and <br /> reliable. They do fabulous work. Since the roof, we've had them do <br /> doors and windows and our experience has been A+ every time. Again, if <br /> you want the cheapest, I think you need to go elsewhere, but if you want <br /> professional and reliable, these are your guys. Run by a father and <br /> son (dad founded the business and his son has taken over in recent <br /> years), its a pleasure to have their crews working around the house. <br /> Another positive is that the same people who first worked on the house <br /> in 2001 were still with S&S in 2010. Consistency is so underrated! <br />

The process working with Gary Subers was very easy. He was open to our questions and suggestions. He listened to our concerns and worked within our budget. He answered all questions in a way we could understand. All work was detailed in his proposal. <br /> His team was very courteous and professional in conducting their work. Upon completing all work, we went through all the tasks against the proposal. <br /> There is no sign of the leak and the new 3-season porch looks great. We now get far more use from it than before. People have commented how nice it looks. <br /> I would definitely work with Gary Subers again for other contractor jobs. We recently had opportunity to do so again regarding replacing two posts in the front of our house. Like the previous work described, he recommended an excellent solution, fairly priced the work, and completed all tasks associated with the job. He was also honest in noting to us work that didn't need to be done that was proposed, reducing our project cost. <br />

One of the owners, Gary, came out to give me the estimate for everything I requested, and the final charge was right on, no BS, no surprises, no overruns. It happened to be that the high quality entry doors he offered were the same locally manufactured ones I had seen before and liked. He listened to me and heard what I said, he didn't try to sell me things I already knew I didn't want (fancy brass door knocker, kickplate, etc.) . I liked how he conducted himself, very professionally, how represented his company, that the company was family run and in business for a long time, had a good local reputation, and so I asked about other services (insulation, attic fan, fascia to match the other 3 pieces on the house, resealing of the garage roof). I liked his explanations about the work, the materials and the amount of time required for the job. It was one-stop shopping, and the work was done in two consecutive days*, the workers were professional, courteous, and stayed until the job was done. Gary came by from time to time to make sure all was going well, and to iron out any problems. One problem was a lock that was bad out of the box; Gary got on the phone with the manufacturer and they figured out it was defective, and then he was able to get a replacement right away so there was only minimal delay in the installation. My S & S experience was excellent; my time, patience, and investment were valued, and I am happy to recommend highly. (*the work on the garage roof was a few days early, done on a day when I did not have to be present; I asked that this happen since a bad storm was approaching, and they were able to accomodate my request) <br />

<br /> From start to finish the entire Team from S&S Remodeling Contractors, Inc. were professional. Although "our design plans" changed a few times Gary listened to our ideas and provided "detailed" answers to all our questions and concerns. After our first meeting with Gary we were confident that this was the company we were going to hire for our new addition.We were so confident with the quality of workmanship that Gary would provide that we decided to have 3 original windows replaced at the same time. The Team of workers from S&S Remodeling were on the site every day and worked throughout the day, completing the day by sweeping up any trash and neatly stacking out of the way any wood and tools.The work was completed exactly within the time line that Gary had told us and all the work that was outlined in the contract was completed as expected. S&S Remodeling Contractors, Inc. deserves an A-plus rating. I would definitely recommend S&S Remodeling Contractors to others...and already have. <br />

A very nice gentleman came to our house as scheduled to give me an estimate for a new pent and bay window roof. We did not have any leaks or problems, we were just doing a new roof for purposes of selling the house. We had been thinking about also capping the bay window but figured it would be too much. When I mentioned we were trying to increase curb appeal, the owner suggested the capping, indicating that it would be about $200, much less than I expected. <br /> Of 8 estimates, this company was priced low-mid range, offered the best services and came across very professional. We chose to use this company and was very happy that we did so. They came when they said they would, worked very quickly and finished in one day. The roof looked great and the capping made the window look like new! My nit-picky husband wasn't happy with one small thing, the owner came back to assess the situation, offered a repair and to install new shutters free of charge for our troubles (another thing we were thinking of doing but figured it would be too much hassle and again too expensive!). They came back, fixed the small problem and installed the shutters that we provided. <br /> The house looks nice, and in my opinion, now the best house in the row! Thank you for going above and beyond S&S! We are moving to a new home in a week. The house needs a new roof within the next year or so and S&S will be the first ones we call.

I've used them a lot. They are very professional and very friendly. I can count on them and trust them. What he says goes. He said the windows would be in on a certain date and he called me a week early to change the date. I appreciated that he called me. They have been around for a while and they live up to their reputation. They did a roof for me years ago. They have always provided the service they said they would. They always call if they need to change something so I am not left hanging.

They do very well. It is family owned—father and son—and they are entrenched in the community so you see them everywhere. The people who work for them have been there for a long time; I just had someone do a job for me that had done another job ten years ago and we remembered each other. They are very thorough. Once they took out my old slider they saw that I needed more concrete poured at the base so they took care of it without charging me any extra. They wanted it to be right, so they did it. They aren’t the cheapest, but they are good.
