Went great. This was a very bad tree in a dangerous spot. These guys took care of it with no problem. Complete pros!

They work that they do is of good quality and is highly professional. The only improvement that I would suggest is this: they must ensure that their employees adhere to the agreements made with management. They are recommended to others.

Couldn’t provide proof of insurance. Once they showed up, there were long periods of non-productivity because that didn’t have the right tools / equipment with them and the whole crew was not available. I was told it would take 2 days. It has so far taken 5, they are not done, and I foolishly took one of his guys words to pay him that they had to leave for an emergency but would be back in the morning. The job is not done. The largest tree is laying still on my property, the area was not cleaned up, after complaining, they came back cut down the wrong tree, took the hickory I had told them I wanna going to keep, and damaged our satellite dish. I have been getting responses now for 8 weeks that he will come back when diesel is fixed. Angie, you need to relook at this endorsement.

I purchased four hours of tree trimming service on September 18 through an Angie's List special. After many (seemingly legitimate) excuses for not scheduling the work, the owner came to see the job in mid-October and said he would schedule it. On November 13, I contacted Angie's List about a refund, and was told it was past their 30-day limit and I should contact S&S. It's now December 18 and I've asked S&S twice for a refund and they have stopped responding. I'd just like my money back for services not performed.

The crew did a fantastic job. Showed up on time cleaned everything up before leaving. Can’t say enough about how good this company is. Would hire them again when I need more work done. Great job and very reasonable price.

Scott came by to give me an estimate the day after I contacted him through Angie's List messages (email). The tree was located in a tough spot. On one side I had power line, another side had my house, another side had 2 smaller trees, and the 4th side was my concrete driveway. Scott explained that the tree would need to be brought down in sections so not to disturb everything around it. Scott provided 2 estimates... with and without stump grinding. I was going to get other estimates, but Scott's seemed fair and he was giving me a 10% Veterans discount. He also said that a job had cancelled for the next day and he could get it done right away. So we shook hands and had a deal. Scott's crew spent 2 full days working on that tree. The first day was spent cutting the tree down in piece and then cutting it up into smaller pieces once it was on the ground. They also had the chipper going. He must have had 10 guys there at one point. The 2nd day was spent grinding the stump (4 hours) and hauling all the wood off and cleaning up the yard. Scott stopped by several times, both days, to make sure everything was going ok and I was happy. I will be giving Scott a call the next time that I need tree work done. Very professional and just a nice bunch of guys that work hard and get the job done.

Once they arrived they did a great job. However, it took almost 2 months for them to get here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they said they were working hurricane relief in FL. But the 30 days for getting my money back passed and I was stuck. I emailed multiple times, reported them to Angue’s List until one day 2 days before Thanksgiving he showed up unannounced.

think it went okay but took several months however he did let us know he had to go to florida to help with the storms that hit the state

Removal went fine. (Due in part to scheduling problems) It took 4 months it took 4 months to get the work done.

Excellent. Scott was prompt and professional. His group cut 11 large Ashe trees on a steep slope and collected the logs into one area. They cleaned up the brush and left the place looking great

The entire job went wonderfully. Scott and his crew arrived early and didn't stop until the job was done. The size of these trees was monstrous but Scott's professional crew made it look very easy. They worked diligently throughout the entire day, only stopping very briefly to grab water occasionally. They took the trees down safely, efficiently, and with no damage whatsoever to anything in the area. These guys are pure professionals at what they do, and I can assure you that they will be who I contact should I need additional tree work in the future. I just took another look at the work that they completed, I have to admit I am certainly impressed! Thanks guys!

It went Great

Once they did the work it was great. Just had a issue getting them here.

After several no-shows, Scott and his team came this morning to do the agreed upon work. They were polite and did a good job of cleaning up. Despite the no-shows, because of the reasonable price I would hire them again for clearing and other work that does not require a lot of care. Two of the dogwoods in front of the house were trimmed carelessly and now have cut limbs sticking out from the trunks, and look bad. Those trees should have been hand trimmed with pruning shears instead of having whole limbs lopped off. Note that I bought the deal of 4 man-hours for $125; Scott and I agreed when he saw the work to be done that $250 was a fair price for the total job.

I have hired over 7 different tree companies over 20 years to remove or trim many very large Oak trees. S & S was by far the best! They took down 6 large oaks and trimmed another. Everything was either chipped or removed from my property in record time. They left my land completely clean and were always prompt in response and arrival. Very professional crew and very consistent in their work ethic. I have and will continue to recommend this skilled company.

They did the work safely and I would consider them in the future.

I was out of town when they did the job. Wish they could have got one more tree in the time frame. Some items some limbs not haul into trees Also saw my neighbor and he said one person came into his yard.

Great, Scott and his crew were very professional. All work was done, and chipped or removed. He also removed additional trees and bushes. I would recommend S&S Tree Company to all my neighbors and I plan on using him again.

Very well. No problems whatsoever.

They showed up when expected, cut down the trees without incident and moved the debris back into my woods so I did not have to pay to haul it away. They even went above and beyond to remove a tree my husband had cut up from a previous storm. Prompt and knowledgeable.

We never successfully made contact. Played phone tag then received an email from the company. I replied but that was the last I heard from them.

They were awful. They were supposed to come back but they didn't and I called them several times. They didn't come back. They had to come back twice to get the stump out. They broke a brick, one of my pavers, They took a piece and never replaced it. He said he thought the other guy was doing it. He subcontracts so it was awful. So the guy that did it, he subcontracted, He broke my brick When he was here to do that one job, we asked him to do another tree. He was supposed to finish putting chemicals down the trunk to kill it and he never did. I called him several times for that. They sucked.
