STAN MAUK TUCKPOINTING LLC.

We've used Stan Mauk on several rehab projects and projects at our own home. I always appreciate his insight on the project and feel like I learn a little something each time. I never feel like he proposes unnecessary work just to drive the cost up, and trust them to give me a fair price and decent turnaround time.

The work was done quickly and professionally, cleaned up everything before they crew left. We have used Stan Mauk Tuckpointing several times for rental properties and now our home and have always been pleased with the work.

Once again (my 4th time using this company), Stan and his crew came through to save the day. Late last week during heavy rain, I heard rain water dripping into my chimney, and it was coming out of the Electrical outlet next to our bed. I went out to see my old aluminum vent had been pulled up by the wind, and had exposed my chimney directly to the rain. I texted Stan the next morning, and within 4 hours his crew showed up, climbed up 3 stories, and cut the old vent off, and capped the chimney so no more water could get in. They were very professional, first, they checked all the bricks, and put extra mortar into several that needed it. Then they carefully sealed on a large piece of concrete board. I use Stan Mauk Tuckpointing exclusively for my brick house now, I dont even ask for estimates. I just ask to have the work done, and pay them after they've completed it. I couldn't be happier with the work, the Price, and Stan Mauk as well.

Stan and his team completed extensive work on my 125 year-old home in Benton Park West (I live out-of-state) and made what could have been a very stressful experience a piece of cake. For starters, he responded very quickly to my Angie's List message (many didn't reply at all) and when I texted him with questions, he gave me a call to answer them all and put my mind at ease about the process. From there, as needed he continued communication responding quickly and thoroughly. They then got to work right away and completed the job with time to spare. (The home was under contract). Once finished, he got everything needed over to my agent without delay. My dad actually used to do tuck pointing himself and called to let me know how great a job Stan's team did. My contractor also stopped by and chatted with Stan. He echoed my dad's sentiments and also added that he was super nice too, win-win. Highly, highly, highly recommend Stan Mauk!

Stan is a reliable, trustworthy contractor. He did a few jobs for me on a fairly large project and I was very impressed with him and his entire crew.

The project went very well. Everything was performed promptly and to a high level of quality. I contacted Stan a couple of times when I was concerned about some of the work, and he was very responsive and professional about it.

Excellent service from initial estimate to completion of repair. Stan walked through and explained what repairs he would make and sent an estimate based on our discussions. Crews showed up on time and repaired the worst foundation back wall, both exterior and interior. Due to weather they came back to complete the repair of the the other exterior walls. Chimney grinding, repair and tuckpointing looks great. Crew was professional and knew exactly what they needed to do for the repairs. Crew cleaned up all debris around the house.

I spoke with Stan via Phone, text, and email. To me that was a big plus, having so many options to relay messages to him. He provided a detailed estimate of the work that was needed, including how the work would be performed, such as grinding out the old mortar where the crack was, and caulking the bricks with the same color caulking as the brick color. He was also kind enough to point out a few other things that needed to be done with the chimneys, that I wasn't aware of, and included those costs in the bid. I had several bids, and Stan Mauks was the lowest. I had used Stan Mauks services previously, and liked his work, as well as the price. When he came, he introduced himself to my wife, and got his crew to work. They had to come in the house a couple of times to verify that the chimneys were venting correctly, which she appreciated. Stan was very friendly, and the work was top notch, if I need any tuckpointing or masonry work in the future, I'll be sure to call Stan first.

The work was done on time and on budget. Stan was very prompt with returning phone calls and was very easy to talk to about what we needed repaired. He gave me a reasonable and very fair bid and he followed through with everything he said. I was so happy to have found Stan Mauk to do the tuckpointing and parapet wall repair job because every other company and contractor I contacted either didn't return my phone call, bid a ridiculous amount for the job (one company bid $40K!!), or didn't seem trustworthy enough to do the job. I would highly recommend Stan to do any other masonry job that we may need in the future.

Stan's crew arrived only a few days after we agreed to the repairs and completed the work in a timely manner. The quality is great and the price was reasonable. Stan was easy to work with and very responsive.

Stan was informative and professional during his free estimate and on-site during the work. They missed a few spots, but quickly came back out within a few days. By far the most affordable among the higher-rated companies in the StL area.

It went great.  I contacted Stan to let him know what I needed to have done prior to selling my home.  He took a look at the work that needed be done -  spot tuckpointing on each exterior wall of my home.  His bid came in very competitive.  Stan walked me through what he was going to do - grind out loose mortar, color match and replace.  He walked me through the timeline - start date and time to complete.  He did a quality job, completing it on time and on budget.  

Mr. Mauk was wonderful!  He was rather hard to contact at first -- he's obviously very busy, and I understand why -= but he gave a very competitive bid, and assured me that several thousand dollars of work a competitor said was necessary, was not at all necessary.  (I believed him because of his rave reviews on Angie's List, which I  now understand!)  Despite his obvious busyness, he came early to do the job, explaining that the loose bricks on the front steps were dangerous and he did not want anyone injured.  He gave me the Angie's List discount  <u>plus</u> the Senior discount, which was generous.  I think he's terrific and will surely use him for any future work (as will my next door neighbor who was impressed by the entire procedure.)

<p>As always, Stan and his crew were fantastic.  This is the fourth time we have had the crew out to do work on various areas of our three story historic brick home and each time the work has been fantastic.  The crews work hard, they are efficient and their work is of incredible quality.  They are very conscious of the landscaping around the property that my wife works hard to maintain - which is not easy with a small lot and trying to figure out how to place ladders and how to keep dust and other debris contained.  They always do a great job of cleaning up when they are done.  Stan Mauk Tuckpointing is the only company that has done any kind of masonry work on our home since we purchased and they will continue to be the only masonry company that works on our home for as long as they are in business.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I have heard the horror stories from neighbors who have hired other masonry professionals to work on their home.  I always tell them to call Stan next time and you won't have anything but good stories to tell.</p> <br />

It went great. The area I needed done were completed, and looked good afterward. I had the area later painted, and the painter said the tuckppointing looked good as well. <br />
