Great service, came and fixed my washer with in minutes!!!!!!!

He promplty called and showed up on time. He was clear on his rate and he was trying to give good pointers to save money. He found the problem and luckily it was not a major problem.

If you want a classic repairman, who's a sole proprietor and not part of some mega-corporation, who will treat you fair and explain the job, Rick is your man. Fixed the actuator in our washing machine in about 30 minutes for a reasonable price. And our puppy got milk bones. He'll be the first call next time.

i would not hire this service provider. i was given a invoice that was not written very well at all. it just says OOPS and has ??? on it. i expected a invoice to explain what the tech found and what kind of troubleshooting that was done. i called Rick the owner and he said give him 3 days so he could send out a more detailed one via the U.S Postal Service. I called back and he said he was not going to send out a invoice because he didnt want to be part of a lawsuit and he asked me not to call him again. I had bought the stackable washer and dryer from a third party, I was embarrassed about the shoddy invoice to submit it. I would not use this service provider.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I WANTED TO GIVE A INVOICE TO THE SELLER OF A LEMON STACKABLE WASHER DRYER SET THAT I HAD BOUGHT FROM A 3RD PARTY. I GOT A VERY SHODDY INVOICE FROM RICK AT STAR APPLIANCE, THE INVOICE JUST OOPS! AND HAD ?? MARKS ON IT. IT DID NOT HAVE ANY DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THE TECH DID TO TROUBLESHOOT THE UNIT , OR HIS FINDINGS ONCE HE GOT IN THE UNIT. I CALLED AND ASKED FOR A PROPER INVOICE AND RICK SAID TO GIVE HIM 3 DAYS SO THAT HE COULD SEND IT THRU THE U.S POSTAL SERVICE. I CALLED BACK AND HE EXPLAINED THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO SEND A INVOICE OUT, HE DID NOT WANT TO GET IN A COURT CASE, HE THEN RUDELY TOLD ME NOT TO CALL BACK. ALL I WANT IS A CLEAR INVOICE OF WHAT HE FOUND AND DID. I WOULD NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER.

Was timely in initial response, was on time to do the job, and completed the project. But he did not put all parts back inside the dryer. I would say he probably knows more about fixing older dryers.

Rick with Star Appliance is the epitome of what I want from Home Advisor. Owns his own business, shows up on time, walks you through his thinking right there on the spot and what his ideas to fix it are. Classic old-school fix-it guy that you can tell knows his stuff. Doesn't gouge you, charges a reasonable upfront fee, shows his expertise, and tells me that if it doesn't work in the next couple days, he'll be out there immediately to get it right. His first and only real priority is to fix problems, not make money off you. The guy even asked me about my dishwasher and some other appliances just to give me tips and let me know what he has seen, didn't try to sell a thing. I have hired a professionals off Home Advisor and every time they show up in a graphics wrapped truck, wearing a company polo, slacks and extremely clean cut, they end up telling me that I need a complete replacement costing $800-$1200 right off the bat for something I eventually just YouTubed and fixed myself for $14 or less. (Which has happened at least twice before. ) Getting connected with Star Appliance and Rick was pure luck, he is certainly a unique guy and knock on wood that I never have another need for him, but he will be my first and only call every time from now on. Phenomenal experience so far, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Star Appliance was available to come quickly and called me to schedule the appointment. Only accepts cash or check though which isn't always the most convenient.

Rck figured out a unique solution to a design flaw in the stove!

Rick diagnosed the problem with my ice maker and fixed it quickly.

Don't be put off by the appearance-----long hair, beard, somewhat scruffy but does very good work. I would hire him again.
