He didn't just give me a quote; he educated me on my options and helped me understand the different types of locks available. Always get a first or second opinion from Ezra; he is definitely the lock expert. I had a door with a broken lock in a locked position on custom French doors. I hired a locksmith who said he could open it and told me the lock was not replaceable because the door was custom. He told me I needed to replace my doors instead. I sent out a request for a second opinion online. Ezra responded promptly, asked pointed questions, came out to check the lock, and talked me through what he thought and what I should expect. He went through hoops to get a replacement, and now it is FIXED. He saved me thousands of dollars in replacing custom French doors. Ezra was responsive, professional, had excellent communication, and, in my opinion, his pricing was very fair. I would highly recommend him if you want honesty and integrity on the first go-around.

Upon arriving, Ezra told me the lock and handle on our door was probably as old as our house. (1948) However, he said he preferred to attempt to fix it to save it as it adds to the beauty of the solid wood door. that is also as old as the house. Mission accomplished!! He was efficient and professional in his work and very reasonably priced.

Ezra was prompt in getting back to us about the job -- installing a new lock -- and came out the next day. He installed the lock but had to drill out the metal door frame for the strike plate, which doesn't look great but as a locksmith, was all that he could do. What made this a 4-star review rather than a 5-star was that we were assessed a "service charge" -- every company we've ever worked with waives this if work is done -- and an additional 4% charge for using a credit card, which is the only payment Ezra takes. No charge if Zelle is used. Would we recommend him? Yes, he's very knowledgeable, but ask for an estimate of all charges before the work begins. We didn't ask for one, that's on us, but one was not offered.

Stargate did an exceptional job, rapidly resolving my problem, and providing me with solutions to problems that I didn't realize I had. My old commercial front door assembly gave up the ghost after 23 years of hard labor. Stargate was able to quickly assess that the damage could not be repaired, and made a recommendation for new equipment. After I received the new locks and handles, Stargate returned and promptly installed, tested, and taught me the necessary skills to take advantage of the new system's web enabled capacity. Ezra proceeded with high degrees of professionalism, and was proactive in addressing my needs. Even better, professional services were fairly priced! I would not hesitate to recommend Ezra and Stargate Services to anyone, and if I need locksmith services again, I will unequivocally give them a call.

We had a back door to the house installed 10 years ago. The lock mechanism hadn't been working very smoothly for a long time but I kind of shrugged it off. Then on Wednesday, as I attempted to unlock the door from inside, the lock broke (with a loud 'pop') while still bolted into the doorframe. I called Ezra at Stargate Lock Services, and he came out quickly and got the door fixed for a reasonable price. Beyond that, he aligned the latch and lock so that they work better than they did the first day they were installed. Really impressive work, very responsive, very friendly. A+
