It was unprofessional about not returning calls to unsatisfied customers, worked with no guaranteed agreed upon.

Avoid hiring John at Starks Roofing. I hired him to repair approximately 130 square feet of roof shingles that were blown off by strong wind. He was the first to arrive and quoted me ~$5000. It was raining that day I negotiated the price down to $2800 and hired him on the spot. A few days later my home insurance company sent an inspector to investigate the damage. The inspector concluded that the fair price should be around $1400 and the repair that John did was of poor quality and would need to be redone. I then did my own research from other sources and found out that the job should cost $1200-$1500, consistent with the insurer's estimate. I provided evidence to Jon and after a few rounds of negotiations, he agreed to refund me $1200. However, I never got a penny from him. Over the past month or two, after citing various reasons to not pay me the refund he agreed to, he finally went silent until this day. I am not optimistic that I will ever get anything back from him.

John from Starks roofing was the first contractor to respond, appeared he had a lot of availability. There were many inconsistencies with the proposal and the work completed. We will need to HIRE SOMEONE ELSE to come back to do the job correctly. Unfortunately the material John used literally washed away (onto walk and lawn) next next with the rain. John seemed like a nice enough guy, although he defiantly did not do what agreed to in the proposal.

Charged $800 for small repair... Took 1hour 15 minutes... I have before and after photos... The job was completed.
