It was excellent. The scheduling could be better. The price was reasonable. I would use them again.

Juan was very thorough throughout my entire project. I had originally called him to check out a leak my downstairs neighbor was complaining about, which turned out to not be entirely my fault, and it was uncovered thanks to Juan.. My neighbor was trying to force me to pay $1500 for damages which were also coming from other parts of the building.. That being said, Juan came and took the time to inspect all of our bathrooms and was able to determine that this leak could have come from anywhere, saving me a ton of money.. (Turns out my neighbor just needed cash and needed someone to blame.. ) Nonetheless, after this incident, I trusted Statewide to come over and take a look at my 29 year old heat pump, which was installed way before I moved in and was even born.. I called Juan, we set up a date and completion time for the installation of a new one and I am truly satisfied. He calls every now and then to make sure everything is okay and even provided a year of warranty. I also was provided the warranty paperwork from the manufacturer in case it was needed.. He is always available, unlike other plumbers I tried to reach out to previously, which gives me the peace of mind and feeling that everything was done with integrity. Juan and Statewide will be my plumbers for as long as I own my apartment and I definitely recommend him.

Juan from Statewide Home Improvement did a fantastic job on remodeling our bathroom. Our bathroom was quite dated (and not in a nice vintage way) and required a full gut. Juan and his crew gutted the bathroom down to the studs and rebuilt in exactly as we had envisioned. His crew ALWAYS put down tarps across the house where they were walking/work and used their shop vac to vacuum up each night. A few things that stand out was the crew and how they were always the same people. It reassured our vision was there and completed as expected. The crew also requested to work a few late nights to make up for some unseen events that occurred. I have seen a few 'negative' reviews here for Statewide and Juan regarding 'Punctuality'. Was there sometimes when getting out to our house took longer then we were told? Yes. However, once you meet with Juan you will understand why. Juan is not one of those sleazy who just shows up for a few minutes, throws some numbers at you, and then leaves. Juan actually cares. He sits down and explains out everything, he makes sure that you understand why they are doing what they are doing and goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. It's similar to go to a really good doctor. The really good ones never run on schedule because they put so much time into explaining everything and making sure you are comfortable. Overall Statewide has done an excellent job and we will be recommending them to family and friends who have asked about our bathroom experience.

When I reached out for a estimate, Juan was very prompt in responding and provided a detailed quote along with his suggestions, which I appreciated. While I purchased the bathroom fixtures, I wasn't able to actually transport them and Juan was great about going to my local Home Depot and picking them up. The entire Statewide crew was professional and courteous at all times and arrived exactly when they said they would. They worked form early morning to evening to give me a completed bathroom in just six days. The job site was left clean everyday and care was taken to not disturb anything else in the house. I'm very pleased with the end product!

He was very, very personable. You know what I mean, when you invite someone in your home that you don't know, he's professional. He told me exactly what was going on or what needed to done and I appreciated that. And I don't think he did more of what he's supposed to do, you know, sometimes people come in and say, "Okay, this is what I'll fix but now you've gotta get this fixed as well." I didn't feel that. I felt that he was very honest. I thought the price was reasonable. Yes, I would use Statewide Home Improvement & Maintenance LLC again. 

Juan and his team are very professional and will work with your budget. His employees are very courteous, hard working and do their best to maintain cleanliness in the home. I couldn't be happier with the work. My showers are beautiful and the deck looks amazing. I will definitely be using him again should the need arise!

He cleared my pipes and all went very well. I would certainly use him again and told him so.

I had really high hopes for this company since I did my homework and combed through most of the reviews on here. The outcome was incredibly disappointing and I would like to straight-out suggest anyone reading this to look elsewhere for their repairs. On the first visit, Juan came to our house for an estimate. I appreciated the quick turnaround from our first phone call, but that was honestly the extent of my positive experience with him and his team. Once he looked at our bathrooms, which had mild water leakage, he said we would need to hire him and his team of three for an entire day. Though a little pricey, he suggested we get the Angie's List special of $900 for this. We eagerly took the offer since we wanted to get our bathrooms taken care of quickly. However, I would like to point out there was no special when we checked the site after he left. Come repair day, we agreed to have the guys arrive at 9 am. We made a lot of arrangements to have them come in that morning. However, they ended up arriving around 2 pm. How awful is this? My stepfather was at home all morning waiting for them. Each time we called Juan to ask where he was, he would say he was coming. Up to a certain point, we were fairly certain he bailed. Though that was fortunately not the case, this shows an utter lack of professionalism and regard for your clients. I was appalled. I will say I appreciated how respectful they were when we asked them to take their shoes off while working inside the house. After a few hours passed, I came into my bathroom to check on the progress of the dry wall replacement. I am not exaggerating when I say this, but it was comparable to the work of a 10 year old. It was bumpy and sloped and resembled Playdoh. Apparently the guys didn't sand the wall at all. We asked them to fix it. After they fixed it, it was much smoother. The paint job was horrible though. It got all over my crown molding which I ended up repainting. There were also small pieces of hair stuck to the wall, since it wasn't properly cleaned before painting. The caulking was also poorly done as it remained soft for weeks. I have too replaced this. After a few hours passed. the guys were nearly done with the job. For whatever reason, they informed us they would be returning later in the week to complete one of the bathrooms. My family and I were all very surprised to hear this because it was obvious they could have finished it. I believe they were rushing to get out and pick up a second job since Juan was constantly on the phone and the guys kept watching the clock -- even commenting on rushing out to beat the traffic. Funny that as soon as my mom said she would only compensate them in the amount that was commensurate to the work they had done ($500), they offered to bring in a hand-held heater and finish the job that day. This bothered me since the price we were given was for a whole day's work and they tried to get out early and come back (never mind our inconvenience of course). We did not want the guys to come a second day and risk messing with everyone's schedule again. In the end, Juan gave us a $100 discount for arriving late. $800 is still absurdly high for a dry wall replacement and recaulking when you consider the lack of craftsmanship that was involved. If we had more options we would have likely used someone else. I will definitely not be recommending anyone to this company.

We hired Statewide to repair a leak in our ceiling and to change our shower fixtures and replace tiles in our shower. I contacted Juan and he promptly returned my call and came to our house to give us an estimate. Juan is very professional and he and his crew were excellent and fixed everything that needed to be done in one day. Our ceiling leak was repaired and our bathroom looks amazing. We are so pleased that my husband and I are already planning to hire him again to redo our downstairs bathroom and also will contact him from now for any work that we need done in our home.

Bought the promotion for $49 and picked service windows to be two days later in the morning or three days later also in the morning. My first contact was two days later around 1pm, were we agreed that he would come later in the day. Around 3:30 pm, i get another call saying that their other job just finished and if it would be ok to come the following morning around 9-10am. The following day i finally got a call at 10:45 am saying that they are just finishing a job and are on their way. He finally arrived 2 hours later.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and tried to snake the drain from the kitchen sink. When that failed, he looked at the basement and made recommendation on how to fix the issue, but he would need to a buy a part. He left to go to another job and said he would be back at 3 pm. I finally get a call around 4:30 asking if he can still come. He finally arrived around 5:30pm, and he had a different solution to the problem. He unscrewed the pipe in the basement in the corner and snake it both ways. This finally fixed the issue. In the end, he charged me an additional $150 and asked the check to made to CASH. In summary, he could have been more punctual and more upfront with the cost. The promotion is not really a promotion but more of way for someone to buy their service then they can charge you more especially for a simple job that in total took 20 minutes to complete.  <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>

I bought a special for $49 service call. Juan came the next day and repaired the leak in minutes. He explained that the $49 was only for the service call but since the fix took only minutes and required no additional parts he didn't charge me more. He's an honest hard working repairman who tries to do his best. I've used him before and will continue to use him.

Bought the $49.95 special. Juan did arrive, and quickly diagnosed my problem as a flapper valve that was not seating properly--a very minor repair. Then he told me that fixing it would cost me an additional $50 plus parts, bringing the total to more than $100. I sent him away. Specials I've bought from Angie's before have included a service call and minor repairs such as this--as far as Statewide is concerned, all you get for $49.95 is a visit and diagnosis--absolutely no work beyond that. You do save $50 off his normal $150 charge for a service call, but I know plumbers who could do this and charge less. Highly dissatisfied!

Excellent! Most importantly to us, GC Juan Marin always quoted a fair price for the work that was done and communicated which days to expect the crew to show up-and they did. His team is detail oriented and will finish the job to your satisfaction. This was our second great experience with this company. We greatly recommend them!

Juan’s knowledge and experience was obvious the first day I met him. While discussing my plan he made several suggestions that improved on the original plan. Juan relocated my laundry room including utility sink, installed a powder room. He also installed a base pump (powerless sump pump) and replaced my 16-year-old water heater. His team was professional and worked really hard. They took great care in protecting our house and they addressed items that my wife and I pointed out. The workmanship surpassed our expectations. When we moved into this house it was new. The builder did not add anything except what was required. When Juan finished my powder room he added: medicine cabinet, towel and toilet paper holders which were a nice surprise. He also replaced a window that was broken for a couple of years (a tragic encounter with a lawn mower). I am waiting for him to come back to address some things after the completion of the project.I had two different dates scheduled and no one showed up, no communication until I reached out to Juan.

<p>We are preparing to sell a house and after inspection, discovered there were some plumbling issues with the kitchen sink, bathrooms and basement, along with some minor other repairs.  Called Statewide and spoke to Juan.  We arranged a day and time for him to come over and give an estimate for all the work we needed done.  Juan came on a Monday, went through the house, reviewed the work and gave us a very fair estimate for everything that needed to be done. Even though he was in the middle of another job, Juan said he would fit us in as soon as he could.  On Tuesday, he called me and said he could fit us in on Friday!  I agreed, Juan and his people came over on that Friday as planned and had everything completed by the end of the day!!   The work was professional and clean and my plumbing and repair problems were over within the same week. I would definitely use Statewide again and I would definitely recommend them. Juan did a great job and it was really a pleasure to feel this confident about someone doing this type work and not be worried about being taken advantage of.  He was polite and easy to work with.     If you ever need any plumbing work done, this is the guy to call. <br> <br>On a side note, while he was over he noticed I was getting ready to redo the basement.  His company also provides this service (handyman).  He provided a detailed estimate and I could tell as he reviewed the job he knew his stuff and took pride in his work.  After seeing his plumbing I'm pretty confident this is the case.    <br>I am still in the process of selecting someone to do this work but he is definitely on the final list.    (Basement Remodeling work was not done upon writing this review) <br> <br> <br>
