"The Angie's list special most have been for 3 closets and a hall way ( all of 600 Sq ft). I told them in advance that I would be adding a 4th bedroom. When they came out to measure they calculated the carpeting in my home to be over 12o sq ft. I only have carpet in the bedroom...not even a hallway. They refused to just double the price I paid for the Angie's list deal, another $149 for twice the size of the job and instead charged me an Additional $235. I have no way of knowing if their measurements were accurate. I have been in my home for over 22 years and have never paid $285 for carpet cleaning. Needless to say, I will never use Steam Master again...what a rip off. I still have the stain in my office that they said they would remove. Good morning Ma'am, I am sorry to see that your biggest concern was the price of the cleaning, and that you found it to be unsatisfactory. Steam Master makes these deals available to Angie's List clients as a means of getting new clients, and at a loss lead. Our business is unable to provide high quality cleaning and customer service, sustainably at such a low price. Our goal is always to wow clients in such a way, that hopefully you were pleased enough with your technician, phone clerk, and cleaning that you would consider working with us on a regular basis at a price that is a win win for both the client and for us! In regards to the spot in your office, as with any thing, carpet cleaning is not magic. There are certain things that will come out, and some things that won't. With experience, techs can have a better eye for these things upfront, but there are just so many things that can complicate the results. Stain removal is more of an art, than an exact science. With that said, 90% of spots, soils, and spills will come out with just our regular perspray and acid rinse. Beyond that, we have other chemicals, specifically for pain, oil, grease, some red spots, rust, pea, coffee, etc... If something doesn't come out, its not for a lack of effort, and force on our part.
