Stellar Roofing of Buffalo

Update: Someone eventually came and installed the baffles and caulked around the vent pipe, but had to wait for a collar to come in. Apparently it was installed in the last few weeks without our knowledge. I am still frustrated about the cuts in the new plywood and the chimney bricks as well as the crews lack of knowledge of how to fix the garage overhang. There should be a discount for my husband explaining what to do. Unfortunately I now have to pay for work that is unsatisfactory. I still do not recommend Stellar Roofing. Beware of the fancy sales pitch. Subpar work. We had limited options of roofers due to our solar panels. A Stellar rep spent 3 hours selling us on the great products they use compared to other companies, brought demos of the products and specifically mentioned how customers rave about how clean everything is when they leave. The deal was for a full tear off with replacement of all plywood, install baffles, install bathroom vents (which is the reason we needed a new roof to begin with due to mold from fans venting into the crawl space), and fix the sag in the roof overhang above the garage. After the garage overhang was opened up, a worker told my husband (a carpenter) that they did not know how to fix it and asked him what they should do. After the work was done, we came home to a pile of nails in our driveway and a handful strewn in the front lawn. The project manager failed to complete a final walk through with us. He did not show up at the scheduled time. My husband had to go into the crawls space and hook up the vent hose from the bathroom fan to the roof vent and noticed SEVERAL issues. Baffles were not installed, insulation was pushed up against the edge of the roof, flashing/storm collar was not installed around the new stack and there was a large gap allowing for water to come in, holes were cut into the new plywood for fan vents but they decided to place them somewhere else and the holes were left exposing the roof sheeting. On top of all that, the chimney flashing was subpar and they cut into the brick instead of mortar, and a worker who was in the crawlspace cracked the drywall in a bathroom ceiling. The work was done in August and Stellar has yet to address the issues (currently October 3rd) despite us trying to contact the sales rep, project manager and calling the Buffalo office. The Buffalo office told my husband that there was no one there that he could talk to. I urge you to look at other companies and not to be taken in by the sales reps promises. I will update if the roof is ever fixed. Hopefully before winter.

I was very pleased how dedicated and efficient the crew worked, Tony, project manager was conscientious and made every effort necessary so the installation process went smoothly. He stayed in touch with me from beginning to finish. Excellent cleanup!

The gentlemen who did the front of my house was awesome, I have no complaints only great things to say, they did a excellent job on the Tando stone siding on the front of my home, they walked me throw everything, they even worked during single degree weather and it was freezing over the last few days. The job went very well smoothly they showed on time for the job with a dumpster and enough crew to complete the job in an impressive one day and a cleanup.
