As a young boy my father told me learn a trade and you will never go hungry... at age 12 I took that to heart and spent my summers as his apprentice, learning everything i could about all the trades. That was 43 years ago. This summer I am exited to have my 16 year old son Joshua starting his apprenticeship. Over the many years I have developed an extensive network of skilled and trusted craftsmen who I often call upon to provide their expertise in a specific area.Cabinetmakers, Interior Designers, Plumbers, Landscapers, and Architects are just a few examples of professionals in our network. I have been working in the trades in south eastern Pennsylvania since 1994, when I was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after an 8 year enlistment. In the Navy I worked on advanced electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on submarines. Attention to detail was permanently seared into my character. This is evident by my many, many satisfied customers. Please ask to check our references! We will gladly give free estimates to customers within 20 miles of our office. We are in the small town of Mont Clare, close to Valley Forge. We concentrate primarily on interior remodeling and restoration work. We do about 80% residential work. We have worked with designers on the Oxford Alliance Show House, and performed extensive restoration on properties built during the Civil War and some in the late 1700's. I was initially considering a ceramic tile installation for my laundry room however after serious thought about the cost / benefit, I decided on sheet vinyl for my 6x12 room. Stephen Wagner arrived to review the room and we discussed various options. He was very helpful in helping me with the decisions and explained the work and related costs for the project, which was quite reasonable. I selected and purchased the sheet vinyl on my own so that Stephen's crew would just perform the installation work. Stephen and crew was very professional and installed my vinyl floor with new quarter-round. Very pleased with the work, and would hire again.

Stephen came in and gave us a fair quote and great recommendations as how to approach the finishing of our basement bathroom. We installed a Schluter Shower kit, with full tile throughout the shower (including ceiling). We tiled the bathroom floor, and added a tile accent wall. They also installed some basement windows. The work was done exceptionally well, with great communication from the crew and Stephen. We had a very tight deadline, and Stephen was honest and forthcoming throughout everything. They ended up squeezing us in, and finishing ahead of schedule. Dave (crew lead) was a consummate professional and offered a lot of guidance for decision making while following instructions impeccably well. There were no surprises or change orders and everything came in according to the budget/quote. We will definitely be using Stephen for future projects. It's tough to find good honest contractors these days, and you can't go wrong with Stephen and his crew. Thanks again!

The work was done exceptionally well. They sealed up every nook and cranny to ensure that no mice can come in again. They set up very clever traps in the basement and garage that used a roller on top of a bucket that was filled with water. It was ingenious. I caught several mice that way, and haven't had a mouse in the house since. They also installed a new mailbox and post, and a new lamppost. It looks perfect. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. They knew exactly what they were doing, and I would definitely hire these guys again. Worth every penny.

Fabulous! Excellent workmanship and professionalism. If I could rate Stephen Wagner higher than an "A", I certainly would. I found their work ethic to be superior. I was kept informed about the project all the time. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. My master bath is beautiful. I will definitely call for more projects in the near future.

Steve and his Crew were nothing short of fabulous. They kept to the time line (about two (2) weeks, and we had a relatively long list of things to be done). What small snags that were encountered along the way he handled with ease, like a pro. He returned all of our calls and e-mails. He and his entire crew were always courteous and hard-working. He made sure my wife was satisfied from start to finish with what was being done (something we spoke about before he actually started the work).My wife and oldest daughter were extremely pleased with the final product. I am not easy to please , and don't hand out five (5) star reviews lightly, but these guys earned it (I never knew or met Steve and his Crew prior to this job in September, 2017). He offers senior and military discounts and backs what work he and his crew perform. It is great to deal with someone who says what he does and does what he says. If you need Home remodeling, if you don't at least get an evaluation/estimate from Steve, it is probably your loss, but it is your Home and money. From our standpoint, we are glad that we did !

$60/hr for each of two unskilled laborers who actually did very little to help the one carpenter(also $60./hr) caused the job to cost twice as much as it could have without the unskilled and out of condition helpers. Steve agreed with the over charge do to the helper thing and installed a yard gate to make up for it. It was an inferior gate to what we had($85) and when I asked him to install a better one his response was that he would only install it if I paid for it($115) because he could not return the inferior one. After over billing by at least $1500 I told him not to bother.

"Much of the work required was demolition. Broken and rusted fasteners had to be removed from decking. We also rebuilt an existing second floor window opening. The steps that we rebuilt were angled and had no footings. Since Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not happy with the price. I had my team install a split rail fence gate for him at no cost to him. He was not happy with that gesture either. I am very sorry Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not satisfied. We will continue to make every effort to do a great job for everyone. 60.00/ man per hour is what we charge. That includes a former Drexel engineering student, myself with over 24 years in the trades, my son Joshua a second year apprentice. The son of the best interior painter I have ever used, with years of experience working with his father, and a framing carpenter who has built many homes and businesses in the area. We also have an Italian stone Mason who has worked with the Philadelphia Historical society, and learned his trade in Italy as a key associate. We pay a fortune I. Insurance and taxes. 60.00/ hr/man is what we charge. I haven't raised my rates in 5 years. Thanks for letting me explain. Stephen"

AAA+++ I contacted Stephen late on a Saturday to see if this was something he could do expecting a call or email back on Monday. To my surprise, he immediately responded and was at my house within an hour!! Who does that?! He was very professional and went above and beyond to help. Not only did he open the wall and connect the pipe, but he cleaned the wall out of all the debris that built up and cleaned the pipe as best he could! Amazing. The price was very reasonable. I don't have enough good things to say! I'll definitely be calling him again for future work.

Stephen was prompt in responding to my handyman service request to replace a garbage disposal and replace a garage light outlet. Stephen attempted to save me money by tighten the disposal connections w/o the replacement, although it did not work out and there was a leak in the morning. Stephen answered my email the next day and was there to replace the garbage disposal the same day. One thing that stood out with me is Stephen brought an apprentice and was in teacher mode. I appreciate when we teach the next generation.

Stephen is an excellent carpenter whose primary goal is to corretly fix problem (rather than a half-baked patch job). We were very impressed with his expertise and professionalism. We wish there were more people like him in the construction and repair profession.

Stephen did a professional job, showed up on time and had the proper tools for locating studs and drilling tile. He even had a fiber optic camera to check inside the wall to insure there were no plumbing pipes in the way before drilling the mounting holes. Easy to work with. Would recommend Stephen.

Fantastic. He took care of every problem that we knew about and those that became apparent during the work. He is easy to work with, fair and very reliable. He has extensive experience and technical know how which reflects in his quality and efficiency. If I had to use multiple contractors the job would have cost me 2-3 times as much if not more. The house was in poor shape before the work but sold immediately after listing in large part to the Stephen's conscientious efforts. I will use him for all my remodeling work in the future, large and small.

Steve was a huge help in getting our house up and running. We bought a house with a broken heater, water heater, a/c compressor and many broken heating pipes which leaked on our floors. Steve quickly went to work and made our house amazing. Everything works great and Steve was so easy to work with. He values other's opinions and is able to come up with a plan as a team. Steve was able to complete the job with no problems and I will definitely be working with him again when we need him!
