Job went extremely well. Electrician was friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. All work performed expertly.

I hired this company for a lot of work ($3K+) in 2020. They did a nice job. Then, I recently (July 2021) called to have them come back to the house for a smaller job and they booked me an appointment 3 weeks out. Two days before that appointment, they called to push me another 20 days. Very disruptive and no loyalty to a good customer, I will not use this contractor again.

Over charged added extra time to ticket. Was told on phone it would be about $400 and charged me $815 and i supplyed the 50ft of wireing needed for the job. Would not give the senior citizens discount they offer on the internet.

Shawn did a fantastic job. He also followed up when it was discovered I needed a HVAC person also. He was very nice and expressed concern because after he did the repair requested, It was found that we had an additional HVAC problem that he felt could be better handled by a HAVC person.

It was a very easy and pleasant experience working with Stephen Palmer Electric--from scheduling to actual work. Ranny (sp?) came out to tend to my issue. He was efficient and friendly throughout the process--explaining cause and what he was doing to fix it. He also recommended, without being pushy, switching out a couple of outlets to meet code. I am a delighted customer. I will definitely use Stephen Palmer, and request Ranny again.

My recessed ceiling lights were flickering. There was also a sconce on the same electrical line. The company charges a one time rate to enter the house, then a fee for every 30 minutes. The electrician was in my house for 35 minutes. For ten of those minutes, he spent trying to find the light switch in his van. He charged me for that wasted time, putting the fee in the next pay bracket. Therefore, I paid $153 after the 10% Angie's List discount to replace a light switch.

Price was quite competitive. Stephen Palmer, the owner, who came out to review the work and give us a proposal, was the only contractor who actually opened up the existing box to see what was there. He spotted the fact that there were two separate circuits on one breaker and split them in the replacement box by adding a breaker. The actual work went very well. The electrician who did the work was a very efficient, hard worker. He completed essentially all the work in one day, and only had to come back to install an extra circuit that we had requested. The work passed Montgomery County inspection with no problems. I highly recommend this contractor.

Stephen Palmer is our go-to electrician. We have used them several times and we were not disappointed to use them for this project. We needed recessed lights and a large hanging fixture installed. The service was easy to schedule and we received a call about 30 minutes before the arrival of the electrician, John. His work was high quality and he did a great job of keeping us informed during the course of his work. He was a pleasure to interact with and kept the work area tidy during and after the project was completed. To cap it off, the final bill was several hundred dollars less than we expected! They will always be our first call for any electrical needs.

Quickly and efficiently

The electrician arrived promptly, was courteous and professional and I received a reasonable quote for the work very soon. Haven't decided yet whether to proceed but if I do I will call them to do it.

Amazing. Ronnie was super professional, very diligent, explained everything, meticulous, and cleaned up very thoroughly afterwards. We have a particularly difficult attic, yet the electrician navigated it it deftly. We would definitely hire this company again, and are already planning our next job.

We were very pleased with the work. It was very professionally done, and the electrician was punctual and worked efficiently. We also appreciated their flexibility as we had to reschedule at the last minute due to an illness in the family; they were able to move the appointment two days forward and we appreciated their understanding.

Fantastic - Remy was professional and efficient. He was flexible with our requests as well as questions we were asking. We will absolutely work with Stephen Palmer Electric in the future and, if it's an option, we'll ask for Remy! A great experience overall starting with Lisa scheduling our appointment on the front end. They instilled confidence at every step.

I requested a time on Thursday but they said that Wednesday was better so I stayed around from 10-2 when I finally called and they said they had us on the schedule for Thursday or Friday. Then they scheduled us for Thursday but said they would call 30mins before regardless to tell me what time they would be there. The technician showed up unannounced as I was working. His work was fine and he did complete most of the jobs I requested although he was unable to help with the thermostat installation even though I requested that service over the phone. He was also unable to help with a doorbell electrical issue. Overall the technician was fine but the service from the company was not good enough.

The process took a long time (there were 4 fans that had to come down and 4 new ones to go up) but the job was done very well. A bit pricey, but that's the market. We'll definitely use them again.

Easy to book! I called. They asked me what I wanted to have done, and I described the light fixtures. We have three light fixtures on the corners/roof of our house and they have sensors to come on at night. One sensor was stuck "on" so we had to get that one replaced. We also wanted bulbs changed to LED on all 3 fixtures. They asked how high the lights were mounted on the house and I said at the top of the 2nd floor. They advised me to buy the bulbs myself (which I did). They quoted me the price for service which was a set price for the visit ($75) plus $60/half hour. They told me that they'd come on Friday morning and that they'd call 30 minutes before arrival; I could expect a call as early as 6:30 am. On Friday by 8:35 am I still hadn't heard from them! So I called the company and got a "we'll call you back" message. No one did. At 9, someone showed up at our house. When I asked about the courtesy call which was to have come 30 minutes before, someone from the office told me that they had made a courtesy call, but must have called the wrong number. Anyway, the electrician was fantastic. He worked for a couple of hours then we were surprised that our bill was almost $500. This was for 2 hours of work and replacement of ONE light sensor?! We bought our own bulbs! So the service was super expensive. I wasn't here when my husband paid him for the work but the bill has so many lines including $135 for the light fixture sensor (really? That much? That's more than we paid for the fixture itself, new) then a mystery 51.81 fee, then tax (on the sensor), then a ladder fee of $60. What?! When the scheduler booked my service and asked me how high up my light fixtures were, why didn't she tell me about the ladder fee? $60?! My husband argued until they removed it. I forgot to use the Angie's List discount and they didn't apply it, even though when I booked I told them that I was an Angie's List customer. Shoot. And then at night, we checked our lights (which come on with motion at night), and one of the three doesn't work! It's not the one where he replaced the sensor, it's just one where he replaced the bulbs. I trust that the electrician replaced the bulbs but is there something wrong with the sensor now? I don't dare call them back. I would LITERALLY have to pay almost $200 ($75 + $60 + $60) just to have someone climb up a ladder and look. We'll use another provider next time.

They were excellent. The technician they sent is very knowledgable and he was able to complete the service quickly.

The electrician did an excellent job. His professionalism and skills exceeded my expectations.
