"Thank you for the work and the great review [Member Name Removed]!"
"I am the owner of Sterners Moving and was not made aware of this poor performance. Mr [Member Name Removed], I apologize for this inadequate performance and I will be looking into and correcting these issues. I'm very sorry for your poor experience."
"Thanks for the feedback [Member Name Removed]! It feels great to be recognized for hard work as we strive to please everyone and that dosnt always happen!"
"This is a very unfortunate situation and review that Mr. [Member Name Removed] posted. Starting out, this [Member Information Removed] purchased a storefront deal on Angie's List. The deal was misprinted wrong on the website from what I had agreed to and signed off on before AL posted it. Mr. [Member Name Removed] showed me the deal he purchased and it had our 2 man and truck rate [Member Information Removed] for the 3 man and truck rate. I did not feel it was right to charge the [Member Information Removed] the 3 man an hour rate becuase that was not what he thought he was buying. So I [Member Information Removed] this with Mr. [Member Name Removed] before the day of the move. He and I agreed that we would move the contents of one 26 ft truck full to the [Member Information Removed] residence for the flat $700. (which is very low for that much stuff but Mr. [Member Name Removed] promised that if we did this he would let us move him to his next location after his closing on the [Member Information Removed] home, and I did not guarentee everything in the house would fit into one truck but mentioned most of it would) Our movers did [Member Information Removed] hand truck and dolly on site as every truck we [Member Information Removed] is equipped with these. Some movers just prefer to carry boxes instead of hand truck them given the terrain quailty. It did take a long time for our movers to pack the truck as we were trying to fill the ENTIRE truck as I had agreed to. Once the truck was as full as we could get and nothing else would fit safely into the truck we told [Member Information Removed] that we would [Member Information Removed] to go unload. During the trip to the unload address the lead packer that Mr [Member Name Removed] is reffering to that left and did not return DID in fact leave because I pulled him off the job as he had over 50 hrs that week so far. What Mr [Member Name Removed] failed to mention is that I replaced this one man with 2 more men in his place! When we got to the unload there was 2 flights of [Member Information Removed] that we were not informed of which took even longer to complete. I had been in discussions with Mr. [Member Name Removed] when I was at the office that day and told him that we would gladly go back and move the rest of his items if he was willing to pay for that since that was not in the "one 26 ft truck flat rate" quote. He refused and was very angry that everything did not fit in one truck and was unwilling to work with us. When he is claiming he was trying to call me and I wouldnt answer was at 8 pm when he was calling our office line and I was not in the office any more. I was in communication with him and the crew the entire day and the job was managed well. When I talked to Mr [Member Name Removed] the next day he was also demaning that I pay him back the tip money that he paid my workers... (money that I never saw). All in all, I would [Member Information Removed] gladly completed the rest of the move if he was willing to compensate us for more work than we had agreed to. Our hourly rate (as posted on Angie's List) for 3 men and truck is $143/hr. As Mr. [Member Name Removed] stated, the job took 15 hours, 15 x $143 = $2,145.00 .This is how much I would [Member Information Removed] typically charged for a job taking this long. I only charged the man $700 and didnt even ask for a penny more for what I agreed to and I get an F review on Angie's List?"
"I did quote them a estimate and as all my jobs I explained to the customer it was just an ESTIMATE. When moving from one state to another charges have to be by weight so I cant tell for certain how mush it will weigh until its on the truck. Also, this customer was in storage for about double the time they told me they would be which is one of the main results the price was higher. As for the lost goods, yes it is true that we did make a MISTAKE and only loaded 7 of the 8 containers they had in storage at our location on to our truck. When we got out there and realized this we quickly found the other one and delivered it within 2 days. The customer was not even charged for the weight of all those items that we messed up on and didn't take out there. I did not feel it was right to charge her for them since it was our mistake. Having this happen is what made the customer start claiming that half of her items were missing. Even well after we delivered the other container of her items she still is claiming that a ton of her items are missing. There is no possible way that we have any of her items any longer as all of our containers are labeled and 8 containers is what we brought into storage. I think she is simply paranoid that more things are missing because her home contents is still likely packed into boxes at her home. The reason I will not "talk" to her any more or return her calls is because I have exhausted myself and all my options dealing with her. I have given her a claim form and asked her to process the form and claim anything she had damaged or "missing" and Ill turn it into my insurance. She claims she will not file the cliam until she gets the rest of her goods.. The problem there is we don't have anything else that is hers to give her! I cant help the customer anymore if she does not want to follow the protocol she signed off on before we conducted business together."
