Stone Creek was very professional. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. The process of creating and configuring the cabinets was quick and easy. Really enjoyed working with the Sales person. They showed up as scheduled and communicated throughout the project.
For starters-take a number and wait hours and days to get a one on one with a consultant. Wont take appointments call aheads etc. and the consultants are all on commission so forget about having a consult or making modifications at your convenience based on your schedule. If you start with one consultant another consultant will NOT help you or get involved. Next you are buying a mass produced low quality product made of MDF with a thin veneer coating of real wood on top which dents and scratches easily and the Price is outrageous for what you get. They want 50% upon order and no modifications without another charge if you don't like something about it when you receive it. I am moderately pleased with my final product. Wall unit was not well proportioned, which I fault the consultant/designer with. I overpaid immensely for what I got. Having made the mistake of using them to build my office, I found and commissioned a private woodcrafter to design and build a beautiful custom entertainment center made of solid wood and custom, handcrafted iron hardware and handles made in Italy and France, complete with lighting and hand painted with gold accents for a fraction of what I would have paid Stone Creek.
When I first started working with SCF, Tim, the salesman was great, he was very responsive and immediately answered any questions all done via email. That all seemed to stop the minute we put down our deposit. Within a couple of days Mike came out to take field measurements and that is the last time I heard from them for 2 weeks. I actually had to call and send a couple of emails trying to find out where things stood and I finally rec'd a call back. Within a couple of days a scheduler called and set up my appointments for 2 weeks later which is when some custom benches we also ordered would be done. I never had any contact from anyone within that 2 weeks. The granite guy showed up to template on his scheduled day 2 hours late, which I had to call to find out his status. On the day the benches were supposed to be delivered no one showed and no called. I called my sales guy and the scheduler and left messages. Finally heard back from the scheduler who apologized because they had been moving and were having phone/email problems (this should not be my problem) only to find out the benches haven't even been started. At this point, I had reached out to several different individuals asking for someone to please contact me to let me know what to expect during my project....nothing, no response. I've asked for managers contact info or to have someone call me and I get no response. They came out to do the demo yesterday only showing up 1 hour late. Today I decided to cancel the benches as it's apparant that they have no regard for customer service or the fact that I'm spending thousands of dollars. When I called I found out the scheduler I had been working with no longer worked there. I also asked them to get an ETA on the granite installer since I was expecting him between 8-10 and it was already 9:30. When they tracked him down he told them that he was expecting to come tomorrow.
I could go on and on but to put it simply, do not use this company if you are looking for someone to help manage your project. To this day I still have not heard from the Mike, the Project Manager and have been told twice that he would contact me. You are better off dealing with contractors on your own because you will probably save a ton of money. I will never use this company again.
Everything they have ever done for us is impeccable and perfect. I plan to engage their services in the next few months for a new remodel of our home. A little pricey, but actually pretty reasonable for custom furniture.
I provided the room measurements and their design consultant worked with us on a detailed design of the pieces. She was extremely professional and thorough. Pieces were finished ahead of schedule, and are of excellent quality. We are very satisfied with the service and finished product.
After months of meeting with many cabinet makers and kitchen designers I hired Stone Creek to remodel my kitchen. I provided the new kitchen design layout and then worked with the sales person and ultimately their cabinet engineer to complete the cabinet design. They have an in-house general contractor - Charlie - who is absolutely fabulous. Honest as the day is long. Totally trust him.
The new design required a total gutting of two rooms - the old kitchen and dining room. The wall between the two rooms was completely removed and when they did this they discovered that it was a load bearing wall and the main water line coming into the house was located in that wall. To Charlie's credit he ate the cost to put a beam in to deal with the load and to dig a channel into the brick to run the water line up to the ceiling since he did not catch either of these in his original estimate.
Work started when they said it would and with the exception of a delay due to an issue with the dry wall sub contractor everything was completed within a reasonable time frame. They cleaned daily. They blocked off the renovation area from the rest of the house to reduce the dust. Charlie and his crew were great. I would highly recommend them.
The cabinets are also beautiful. I hired Stone Creek because I wanted a lot of specialty cabinets. The cost of the actual cabinets were significantly less than what a 'standard' cabinet company quoted me and I got exactly what I wanted. Really spectacular.
Also, periodically throughout this I worked with their interior decorator - Michele - who was so amazingly helpful. She gave me names of people/companies to work with to find the back-splash tile and the shutters. She was always very, very quick to get back to me.
Their Overall "B" rating and "C" ratings for Responsiveness and Professionalism are due to the company's very, very ineffective and inefficient work process. The sales person - Rick - was very responsive UNTIL I signed the contract, then trying to get him to provide an updated price or work with the project manager to get it to me was like pulling teeth. This happened over and over throughout the entire renovation. Extremely frustrating and so unnecessary. Once the project starts the Project Manager should have the ability to produce/provide the new price based on change requests without having to go back to the sales person. This did begin to happen towards the end of the project but only after weeks of frustration and complaints.
Another point of lack of professionalism was around the counter top. I had looked for months at various types and once I selected a counter top by Cambria, I was told by the project manager - Mike - that "that counter top is very difficult to work with" which I interpreted as the actual counter top was hard to fabricate - which I replied then "why do you even have it in your showroom as one of your selections" . . . after a back and forth ridiculous text message conversation which clearly showed that I knew more about counter tops then the project manager did, I walked away. Then I had to scramble to find another company to get the counter top I wanted without causing a major delay in the project. I was able to find a great fabricator. FYI - Cambria counter tops are not difficult to fabricate. Cambria is just very particular to whom they sell their products. So, perhaps that is what he meant when he was referring to it being difficult, that Cambria wouldn't sell to them. But if you don't like a product - for whatever reason - then don't offer it in your showroom as an option.
Overall, I would hire Stone Creek again for the cabinets (which are absolutely beautiful) and in a heart beat I would work with Charlie and his crew again for another remodel. But I would request a different sales person and project manager.

I am very pleased with my built in office from Stone Creek Furniture. It's one of my favorite things in my house - both in function and appearance. The window in our office was not symmetrical on the wall, so because of that, we went with a custom built-in option. Surprisingly, it cost about the same as buying office furniture from a retailer like Pottery Barn.
We did have an issue w/ some measurements - I brought in my own electrical person to install outlets (Stone Creek was pricey in that regard), and asked them for the contractor's packet so my electrical guy would know the height to install the outlets. I was given wrong info, and subsequently the outlets were installed in the incorrect places. However, once I called Stone Creek and explained this to them, they sent out their own person to move the outlets to the correct location and finish up the install at no additional cost to me. Because of that, I would definitely recommend them.
The final product is gorgeous, functional and EXACTLY what I wanted w/ no compromises.
Our experience with them was outstanding. What stood out the most is when we sat down with the planner on there, we kind of told them what we felt we need on there and they took that into consideration. They made a few suggestions, and after we got the suggestions, we used their suggestions. So, they did a really good job of helping us plan out what we needed to have built. They were almost the price of another custom furniture company. The quality of their work is outstanding. I never had a problem at all with their responsiveness. They actually promised us a date and they finished it and installed it earlier than they had promised. I would absolutely use them again in the future and I had recommended them to others.

Shelly Scherger, design engineer, was great to work with. On-site measurements by the Project Manager who arrived promptly as scheduled were accurate. The cabinets were scheduled to be delivered April 3. By 4 p.m. that day I had heard nothing from Stone Creek and there was still no delivery. I tried to call the office and it was closed. I left a message and the office called me about 7:30 a.m. the next morning to tell me the cabinet doors were not completed and it would be 2 more weeks before they could be delivered. Since Stone Creek's only responsibility in our master bath renovation was the cabinets this delay upset the entire schedule of the general contractor and set the entire project back almost a month! The lack of communication on this issue is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. The Project Manager certainly should have known before the date due for delivery that there would be a delay of this length. My husband and I are very pleased with the overall appearance of the cabiets, however I do not like the lower cabinet door hinges because they stick out 2 inches reducing the available storage space. We have used Stone Creek before and been pleased, however after this episode it is questionable if we would ever use them again.
We used the Mayo Blvd show room for the design process. We had made drawings ourselves using a computer drawing program, so could show approximate measurements and layout that way. We did not have to wait to be assisted when we got to the show room, which was nice, but not necessarily to be expected.
The designer made copious notes, and asked several questions. She needed a few days to prepare drawings for us to review, because we were purchasing during a sale that was creating lots of business. She e-mailed us preliminary drawings, which included renderings of how the finished room would look -- very helpful!
We returned to go over the drawings with her, and she made the changes we asked for on the spot. The show room was a very pleasant place, and had enough examples that we were able to visualize how our furniture would look, and select the color and hardware that we liked. We thought the price quoted was reasonable and we signed the drawings and paid half down on the spot. We were informed of the procedure that would be followed and the approximate timeline, all of which transpired pretty much as advertised.
After a few days, the factory called to make an appointment for a person to come measure -- our furniture is built-in, so this was a must. That went smoothly, with the person arriving on time and doing the work quickly.
We had a couple of e-mail communications from the factory's engineering group, to answer questions that arose when they studied the drawings and the measurements in depth. Shortly after that, we had a call to schedule installation, which was set for just about 6 weeks from the time that we placed the order.
The furniture was installed earlier this week. We had the room empty and ready. The installers were very professional. It took them about 5 hours to finish the project.
We are thrilled with the results! The new office accommodates everything beautifully, with storage space to spare. The computer stations works beautifully for our dual-monitor setup. We think it looks terrific.
We have used Stone Creek furniture twice before, and have always been very pleased with the results. This was the smoothest overall experience with them. The scheduling and installation were really problem-free this time!
Overall the experience was horrible. The sales peson was great, and everything else was miserable. The person at the design center was rude and condesending. There was no project management. The entire project was completed 3 weeks late with no appologies. Some of the cabinets had obvious flaws that needed to be re-done. We even spoke to the owner because things were so bad. He couldn't have cared less and did absolutely nothing to try and make the experience better. It's painfully obvious that they feel they are the only game in town. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for cabinets or furniture.
Oh and their so called 5 year warranty has a hefty service call fee of $125 (I think) just to come and look at their flaws in workmanship if you notice a problem after a few months.
We will never buy from this company again.

I like the finished product. The bad news is that the manager in the store that I dealt with was not cooperative about selecting a finish. She told me that is was impossible to match furniture that I already have at home. I sent an email to the president to the company; he sent his people out and matched the finish exactly. The manager had no customer service skills and she didn’t even bother to call the office to see if I could be accommodated. I guess the message is not to take no as an answer. They did a very thorough engineering job, they came out and measured the exact location, and they were responsive about repair work. They were customer-oriented once we got past that one gal in Scottsdale.

Once all the decisons were made as far as color, cabinets or drawers, hardware...a date was set for Blake to come and make sure the measurements were accurate. The measurements from Blake were submitted and I was emailed a final paper of acceptance. The bench was installed this morning and it is beautiful, the installers were professional...I will definitely have more projects done by StoneCreek Furniture! Quality!!

It went over all excellent. The show room person was very good. We went to the store in Scottsdale, near the 101 loop. They listened to what we wanted. They wrote up a custume order and had this unit built in their factory in Phoenix. They delivered the unit just before Christmas and they installed it in our living room. The unit is absolutely beautiful. Everything right down to the color of the stain and the hardware was exactly as we requested. I would highly reccomend this company.

We started "early" with this project, in August, before the room that the furniture was going in was built, because we'd bought from Stone Creek before and knew there is a considerable lead time before they get around to you. In fact, there were several problems with the schedule, and although our room was ready in late October, we did not take delivery on the furniture until December 23rd. The installers worked hard and did a nice job, and we are very happy with the furniture. There was one problem that took two months to resolve, mainly because we could not get a response from the salesman.

SAW A SALE ADVERTISEMENT FOR $199 BOOKCASES, SO WE WENT TO CHECK THEM OUT AND LEARNED THAT THE SALE WAS ONLY FOR A ONE PARTICULAR SIZE AND FINISH. IT HAPPENED TO BE EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR AND WERE THRILLED TO SAVE A LOT OF MONEY OVER THE CUSTOM-MADE PIECES. THEY WERE ALSO FEATURING A MATCHING ENTERTAINMENT CREDENZA FOR $599 THAT SAVED US THOUSANDS. DELIVERY WAS A BIT STEEP AT $125, BUT THE GENTLEMEN WERE QUICK AND POLITE. THE FURNITURE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND WELL-MADE AT A BARGAIN PRICE. WE HAD THE FURNITURE ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE MY DAUGHTER SLAMMED THE DOOR ON THE CREDENZA AND BROKE THE PLASTIC TABS THAT HOLD THE GLASS IN. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE FACTORY QUICKLY MAILED ME A DOZEN REPLACEMENTS.

VERY NICE FURNITURE, BUT VERY EXPENSIVE, IF ITEMS NOT ON SALE. FURNITURE FACTORY IS LOCATED IN PHOENIX. ABLE TO DESIGN OPTIONS YOU WANT ON FURNITURE (HUTCHES, DOORS - GLASS OR WOOD, KNOBS, DECORATOR TOUCHES). THEY ARE VERY BUSY, SO EXPECT TO WAIT SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS FOR DELIVERY. ONLY THING WE DIDN'T LIKE, WAS DELIVERY DOES NOT SCHEDULE A TIME FRAME FOR DELIVERY.
