They had to partially disassemble some stuff that was done a couple yrs previously, re-do it and put on the metal roofing. Alas, they discovered the metal roofing that had been stored for this project has started to lose it's paint and was not fit for use. Mike dealt directly with the supplier and they delivered a new batch of metal roofing. Once that arrived, the roof was finished within a couple days. <br /> All the guys on the crew were friendly gentlemen, they cleaned up every day, arrived promptly, and treated each other with respect. I ended up with a high-quality, solid, well-done roof. These guys do not skimp on quality or honesty. <br />

We were happy with Straight Ahead Construction. They were within budget. The work was done well. The tile job was great. There were a few things I would have liked to have better communication on but for the most part, it all went smoothly. I will definitely use them again. <br />

The work was very good. The lead carpenter usually took the time to talk about my preference for differing aspects of the jobs. Owner can be grumpy and full of himself and certainly charges a high dollar. At the end of the day, we talked it out and came to an agreeable conclusion for cost. <br /> Again, the work was very good. Personality could use some work. <br />

I was badly in need of a handrail on my front porch. My insurance company threatened to cancel my policy if I didn't have one......that was in October 2011. I don't recall how I found Straight Ahead Construction, but I believe I left a message on the Facebook page after <br /> seeing all the positive comments. I'd just had a very bad building experience with someone else and was very wary! Mike responded timely, we set a date for Spring and he followed through precisely. The railing turned out beautifully, he even made the handrail larger in some places for me to set plant pots in the summer! The only reason it went over estimate was that he found that the front steps were rotting so we tacked that on to the order. I can't tell you how pleased I am with his work, especially after such a bad experience with a previous builder. The railing was accepted by the insurance company and the agent told me that the woman at the company she deals with told her that she thought it was beautiful.......you don't hear that type of comment very often. Mike is very professional, he works long hours and gets the job done. I very much enjoyed working with Mike and his crew! I also liked the fact that Mike interacted with me so that there was nothing left to be misunderstood, and loved his suggestions as to how he thought things <br /> might look or work better. Overall great experience!!! A+ I loved the entire experience and several months later asked him to do another project for me, putting up a balcony off the master bedroom above the back porch. That turned out absolutely gorgeous and I'll talk about that in another review. <br /> <br /> <br />

Our home was in need of fishish work after we had completed the initial phase of construction. Mike came in with a very positive, creative energy and some good ideas to make our home look very attractive. He suggested using Alaskan birch which provided a very local touch and has gotten many compliments over the last year. Our project evolved as we made some last minute changes and Mike just smoothly rolled along with everything. And he also was able to stay within the initial time frame and budget he submitted. Mike is a very professional, artistic craftsman who provided a very custom Alaskan look to our home. <br />

It went well! Mike often arrived as I was leaving for work. When I returned he had cleaned <br />up, drop cloths still in place. The only delay was due to drying tiles. At first I thought these <br />heavy tiles might be prone to slippage but they are intact. the result is a tasteful, professional job that has held up well. <br /> <br />
