Straight Edge Painting

I had mixed results working with Nicholas. On the one hand, Nicholas was generally professional and transparent with his work and pricing. We appreciated that he was able to fit us into his schedule given our tight timeline. He communicated pretty dependably, until the project was finished but then never got a hold of us for touch up despite saying he would. On the other hand, there were numerous areas that were an oversight or in need of obvious touchups. For instance, the team did not always sand down spackle so there are some areas of the wall that are raised or there were areas that obviously needed a second coat. And in the kitchen, they did not paint around the recessed lighting or above the floating cabinets so there is an obvious one-foot gap of color between the ceiling and the wall. In terms of timing, the project took 2 days longer than originally estimated. Hopefully this is helpful to anyone considering this company.

They are timely and courteous staff. The staff did better than I anticipated. I am extremely impressed. They clean up after themselves. I plan on hiring them again.

He is timely, friendly and incredibly talented and expert on what he does. He ensured that the job was nothing but 100%. He communicate constantly. I have nothing but admiration for this young man.

It went really well. He was a tiny bit late but he let me know ahead of time. He came right in and got to work, finished it and left. He did a great job.

Nicholas was great! He has a very strong work ethic and was punctual and responsive. I thought he was very transparent with his pricing and set expectations around when the work would be done. I’d hire him again!

A disaster,habitually late, many excuses,no professional help,when he did have help, they were friends, roomates, not in any way painters. After 50 yrs. in business, this person was unprofessional, a scammer. He told us that the job would take 4 days, a minimum of work was done, poor quality,on the 4th day after repeated assurances that they would finish, he walked off the job,his excuses and promises caught up with him. He did not have ladders, and assured us that the carpet and furniture would be covered,did not have tarps to cover the above, carpet is filthy, probably not cleanable,full of glue and residual ground in dirt. Furniture not covered, although we gave him sheets to cover the furniture,he did not have tarps. Furniture is filthy, a disaster. He did not give us a contract, said he had a computer,printer problem,no business cards.He asked for 30% up front, which I refused,could not clean up because he had no vacuum. New painter has to prime walls which were never done, re-sand and repaint ,small wall which had many imperfections, because the people he had, did not know how to prepare the wall. He spent many hours while he was here on the phone, or left the job altogether for hours, leaving the inexperienced people to do what he had promised. THIS WAS ACCORDING TO MY ATTORNEY "ELDER ABUSE"-- we are both in our 80"s and we believe he thought he could take advantage and did. We paid him $550.00 which covered $150.00 materials and gave him $400.00 for the kids who did most of the work,although it will need to re-done for the most part. I wrote out a receipt,for the above amount and he scribbled his name,and promised to return with a rented shop vac to try to clean up the carpet, never saw him again.a thief and a scam artist. The carpet is ruined, furniture filthy and full of debris from the walls. Nicholas Glover the principal owner of the business is the worst possible type of businessman and a black mark on your company and your so called careful screening. My attorney who has these details,indicates that beyond the physical damage to the home,their is significant cause because of mental anguish.we may be old, but we are not stupid. The new paint contractor, recommended by the Sherwin Williams store will start the job on Tuesday 4./10/18,at a significantly higher price than the 3 bids I got from your contractor site. You lack of attention has created for my wife and I serious physical and mental anguish. we wanted to give Nicholas an opportunity,which we felt would be a gesture on our part to help a new businessman achieve success, what we got was ELDER ABUSE. we have taken pictures and will try to forward. glover

Nicholas did a complete repaint of my basement and I could not have asked for a better experience! Not only was he professional, but his talent really shined when he selected price competitive paint for an extremely large job. Nicholas treated our home as if it was his own and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. 10/10 would recomend to EVERYONE!

Nicholas and his partner worked on weekends and a holiday to get the job done. Great dedication! They got all the popcorn off the ceiling which was a job other people declined, so I appreciated finding someone who would do it. Our ceilings look great. I would definitely hire again.

Excellent! Nicholas is extremely professional with a great eye for quality and detail. His breadth of experience really came to the forefront during this project, he suggested a number of great solutions to painting our built-ins which turned out fabulous! He was also very price competitive.
