Buyer Beware! Stuart's Appliance Repairt person was here on 07/27/23 at 10:20am, until 11:40am. He did not fix anything, but charged $120 for an estimate. He said: "I can't take a credit card because I don't have a card reader." Therefore, we paid him $120 cash. He was on his phone a good portion of that time talking about somebody going out of business; also, he cut his arm, washed it in our kitchen sink, and grabbed a kitchen towel, before we could hand him paper towels. Following up from my earlier review. Stuart ordered the parts needed for the other two appliances and came out early evening today and replaced the internal pieces of the oven dial which was broken and not working and then replaced the soap/jet dry unit from dishwasher which had also broken. Very quick and knowledgeable and again very reasonable! Would definitely call/use him again if I need too!

Stuart came out after hours to look at a stand alone freezer we have that was not cooling and food was starting to become unthawed. He was very thorough, spent time explaining to me what the problem was and had the part needed to ensure the problem did not happen again. While at my house, he took the time to look at two other appliances that were having minor issues, took the details needed to order the parts to make them 100% again and will be calling me when the parts arrive. This man truly knows what he is doing. I felt comfortable he was not trying to sell me more than I needed to fix the problem and the price was more than reasonable!

Called Stuart Appliance, Stuart came same day/evening. Freezer door on a French Style Whirlpool was not closing completely. He left without repair, said he had to order part he thought was the problem. Since the door didn't close completely warm air was getting in and crystallized all food in freezer. I called him again for status and he clearly had forgotten. My suggestion is do not call him. Was a waste of time and service charge.

Stuart’s Appliance Service was wonderful. He quickly found the problem and explained everything to me as he was working. He was able to order the parts and have them available the next day. Terminal block, wires and power cord were charred because the initial install by builder left a lose wire that over time caused the issue. I will be contacting them for sure. Thank you Stuart for making our home safe! I was pleasantly surprised by the cost as well!

While this was a quick fix, Stuart was extremely knowledgeable and I would call on him for any other repair. And to come next day was awesome!

You don’t realize how dependent you are upon technology until it stops working, and how dependent you are on total strangers to fix it for you, hoping you don’t get taken to the cleaners in the process. Our refrigerator/freezer quit working, and it really disrupted our daily routine. We had to throw out hundreds of dollars’ worth of food that had come to room temperature. We called several repair services in the Ocala area, and while they were all sympathetic, they were booked up and said it would be 2-7 days before they could come. And after the service visit it would be more days until the needed parts were ordered and installed, so we were looking at being without a fridge for around 1–2 weeks. Angie’s List provided us with several leads for repairmen with good reviews, and I called Stuart’s Appliance Service. He was able to come the same day, which was a relief to us. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Then he did something that was extraordinarily kind and unexpected that helped us—he put some used parts that still worked into our fridge to keep it running for the couple days’ wait until the ordered factory parts came in, so we’d be able to have a working refrigerator and get back to normal. While he was here, we spontaneously asked him to look at our clothes dryer that was giving us fits, and he was amenable, and so he fixed it in a jiffy. Stuart was true to his word and came back 2 days later and installed the factory parts in the fridge. He showed them to us and wanted us to know what they were. It’s working like a charm. If I were reading this review, these are the things I’d want to know: he’s punctual, within a couple hours of estimated time of arrival, and he keeps his promises about the appointed day. He’s competent; he knows what he’s doing, and he wants you to know what he’s doing, too, so he educates you on what the parts are and why he’s replacing them. He doesn’t just fix the broken appliances; he gives you an education. I found it interesting. He is courteous, and he’s professional. Normally, I only look for competence and punctuality in repairmen and don’t care about personality, but I also found Stuart to be kind and affable, which was nice. I believe his fees are fair, also, for what he does. No one likes having to pay repairmen, auto mechanics, or doctors, but we are so grateful they are there when we need them to get us out of a fix. We're very satisfied with our experience.

Stuart was very knowledgeable and he worked long and hard to get my fridge up and running. Unfortunately the compressor was the problem, and it didn’t make financial sense to replace it. He charged me a very fair price for the work he did and even gave me a loaner for a month until I could find a replacement.
