Our experience with Stuckman Tree Service was poor.  Rushing to clean up trees around our property <br /> after the August 2 storm in Michigan, the Stuckman crew scraped the bark of <br /> healthy trees and dumped tree trunks in areas we had asked them to avoid.  Despite promising us a computerized printout that <br /> broke out costs (for insurance purposes), Stuckman gave us nothing, even though <br /> we made repeated requests.  That is very unprofessional, <br /> given what company charged us.  We <br /> discovered from nearby neighbors that other tree service firms had charged much <br /> less (sometimes two-thirds less) for similar work.  We would not recommend this company to <br /> anyone. <br /> <br /> <br />

Stuckman provided services to our area after the severe storm that hit northern Michigan on August 2. Our experience with this company was very disturbing. The bill was twice the estimate given to us. The heavy equipment that was used was driven recklessly resulting in damage to surrounding trees and a structure. A piece of log being removed from one side of a damaged garage was dropped on an undamaged area resulting in additional damage. Neither was pointed out by the crew. Unreasonable charges, little regard for property and poor customer service. Beware. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone

Called for an estimate - he was in the area - gave the quote and had a crew in the neighborhood. Removed the tree and trimmed the other oak. Ground the stump the next morning. Quick service, excellent clean-up and nice crew. <br />

<p>I called on a Friday morning and made a request to have a couple trees removed. By that afternoon a knowledgeable representative arrived, assessed the work, gave me a reasonable quotation and committed to doing the work the next day (Saturday) or Monday. They arrived on Saturday and went right to work. The workers were efficient, worked well as a team and had the trees down quickly. Next the stump was ground out and the clean up completed. </p> <p>Overall.....experienced people, well maintained equipment, quick turnaround, reasonable price, very good experience. I would recommend any time.  Thanks</p> <br />

They were friendly and professional and definitely safety conscious.

They removed three large trees (approx 30-40 inches diameter)  4 large pines, a maple and a birch. (9 total) They asked which wood if any I wanted to keep.  Having a fire pit, I decided to keep everything 4 inches in diameter.  They took all the brush, cut the logs I wanted into manageble lengths and stacked it into piles for me. They also trimmed up a couple of other  trees to get rid of old growth and suckers. They came back 4 days later with a remote controlled stump grinder and took care of the stumps.  They ground down 10 inches into the soil.  They then offered me the option to remove the stuff they had ground up or just leave it to decay on its own.  I decided to just leave it be. <br /> They were quick, professional and definitely reasonable.  I would definitely recommend them. <br /> They are located in Gaylord, MI, but travel.  They have worked in Traverse City MI and did my work in Houghton Lake, MI. <br /> So if you need tree service in "up north" Michigan, give them a call.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this company and the personnel. First of all, the owner came to us last April and asked if we'd be interested in an estimate on removing the dead tree in the front yard. We had just moved in last November and didn't even know the tree was dead !! He gave us an estimate on taking down that tree and removing 2 other stumps in our yard. Because it was only April and our 1st estimate, we wanted to get more estimates. We did and found out their price was right in line with others, albeit, $25.00 more than another company, but the other company told us they couldn't do the work for 2 to 3 weeks. I called Jeff, the owner, this morning and left a message for him to call me back as to when he could do the work if we used him. Within an hour he called me back and by 7:30 PM (the SAME day) the work was DONE!!! I couldn't believe it. He said they can't always give sameday service (even though they always try), but he squeezed us in. They showed up with a parade of BIG trucks and equipment. They even have a ROBOTIC chipper...I saw this little machine coming up my driveway...with no one on it...towards our new garage door and I ran outside to yell at someone. Lo and behold...there was a guy with a little control box steering this piece of equipment out into the woods and into my backyard to grind the stump. How cool is that ??? No big equipment tearing up your lawn. I also want to say how personable Jeff and EVERY member of his 4 man crew were. Each one of them came and introduced themselves to us, shook our hands, and assured us they were here to do the job to our complete satisfaction. The work was done in a very professional manner and very quickly and they totally cleaned up everything when done. Before they left, Chad, one of the crew, came again to talk to us and to make sure we were happy. UNBELIEVABLE customer service. We will DEFINITELY call them in the future and would highly recommend them. Now if I could only find a landscaper and a contractor to be as quick and professional. Heck...I'd settle for a contractor just calling me back !!! Ha Ha In all seriousness though, PLEASE do not hesitate to call Stuckman's Tree Service. They are professional, quick, and very reasonably and fairly priced. Keep up the good work guys!!!
