At Sullivan Super Service, you’ll take pride in knowing you’re hiring a family-owned company that employs four generations of Sullivans and has been working in the Pittsburgh area since 1964. Bill and Anna Sullivan started their business out of their home with just one truck. As their family grew, so did their business and they opened a shop in Braddock and hired more technicians. Through the years the company grew but remained committed to offering the special touch of a family operated business.

Overall the multiple projects went well. More costly than expected but we did receive some discounts which helped. The only one item I would mention is that we bought an incorrect faucet/drain combination. The tech replaced the drain components but since the faucet we had was designed to have a pull lever for the drain, and the one he used was a push down stopper, the hole where the pull up leveler would have gone stayed opened. It does not look good so we now need to live with it.

We were so happy to have Sullivan Super Service (Plumbing, Heating, Cooling) come today to repair our central air conditioning unit and to service our HVAC system. Sullivan's technician, Bob Anderson, was polite, professional and experienced. We greatly appreciated his knowledge and counsel. Our AC has been out for a few days in a current hot spell, and Sullivan was the only company that contacted us. They proved the old saying that in winning, half of the battle is just in showing up and being there. We were not Sullivan customers before, but we are now! Sullivan's service was SUPER!

A complete disaster. Bathtub and toilet were draining very slowly so we figured there was clog somewhere so we called Sullivan on a Wednesday. They came right out, which was great. Unfortunately, Jordan and another guy came and wasn't able to clear the clog. Said we had a broken pipe in the yard (which we now highly suspect was not true and was just a clogged line). Paid over $5,000 to have the line dug up and clogged cleared. They were out the next day on Thursday to dig the yard. The digger Rob and his guy were great. They seem to be the only ones at Sullivan who know what they are doing. Dug up and replaced the "broken" pipe but didn't clear the clog. Friday, Jordan was back out and made everything worse. After he tried clearing the clog, the tub would no longer drain at all. He left with a foot of water in the tub saying it should drain. What?!? It never did so we contacted him before lunch that same Friday. His answer...he'll send another technician...on Monday. So we had to do with not be able to use the water over the weekend. Thanks. Two other Sullivan "technicians" came out Monday and couldn't do a thing. That's 4 "plumbers" or "technicians" over 6 days that couldn't clear it. Then the worthless Jordan calls Tuesday and recommends calling another plumber to fix it. What did we pay you over $5000 for??? So we called A-1 Seware Cleaning Specialists - they came out the same day and cleared the clog in less than 10 minutes (and confirmed that sullivan likely completely clogged up the pipe trying to clear the slow drain). Probably didn't even have to do the digging and pipe replacement if we would have just called A1 first..... If you have a plumbing issue, do yourself DO NOT CALL SULLIVAN. Sullivan might be good at hvac, we don't know one way or the other but we do know that they are not good with plumbing. So bad that I can't imagine they do much well. How do you finish a job that you were paid thousands for by saying, you need to call a better plumber?

Terrible, leaked again right after they "fixed it" and charged me $200 (for basically nothing). I fixed it myself for $10 the next day.

The AC unit they "repaired" needed to be repaired again one year later. Their work was lousy and they threatened to charge me because they were having problems with the Home Warranty company paying them the balance. I hired a much better company the second time and that work has held up with flying colors.

The office called to give me and estimated arrival time for the workers and they were there at that time. They explained what they were going to do and what to expect both good & bad. They gave an estimate on recommended repairs and wern't pushy to get them done. I will hire this company again they were honest and the price was really reasonable.

Horrible. Total rip-off. The plumber said it would cost four hundred dollars to replace the sprayer hose. OMG. I’ve paid less to have a hot water tank installed. Seriously. He said it was not a hose he had so it would need ordered. I ask why four hundred to replaced. He said because of all the running around he’d need to do. I ask what running around. He said ordering the part and waiting for it to come in and that he would need to return. I ask him if I ordered the part how much to install it. He said still four hundred bucks. It’s a Delta Faucet which is a name brand. It’s not my fault he doesn’t have a hose in his truck to fit. He then suggested I replace the entire faucet for six hundred. Yowzer. The faucet is only six yrs and doesn’t need replaced. It cost me fifty bucks for him to give me an outrageous estimate. Oh yeah he tried to sell me a service plan as well. 10% discount. So to replace the hose I’d only pay $360. Don’t call these guys. They are real crooks.

Matt came the day I called. He looked the situation over and gave me three choices with prices for each option. I decided and he went out to purchase a new toilet and he installed it; the total time he spent was less than an hour. THANK YOU!

We returned home late Saturday night to a cold house. The furnace was not giving out heat. Sullivan was the only place I could find open at the time. I paid $100 for the visit and another $100 as an emergency fee. I was ok paying this with the expectation I would have heat that night. Unfortunately the furnace could not be fixed and I was out $200. I wish I had known the furnace was beyond repair. That $200 could have been put toward the new furnace I purchased. I did not purchase from Sullivan. The quote was insanely high. I got a new furnace installed for half their quote!
