We bought our house in Aurora early this summer and it has turned out to be a much bigger project than we anticipated. The one piece of this house renovation project that has gone completely smoothly was the flooring. Mark was professional from start to finish and I could not recommend him more highly. His communication was timely, clear, and complete from the time I reached out for an estimate. He was easy to get in touch with, was flexible when some unexpected repairs came up that had to be completed before we could begin the flooring project, and was always friendly and considerate in our home. On top of his professionalism, and maybe most importantly, his work was impeccable. Every person who comes to visit comments on how beautiful the floors are - and we haven't even installed baseboard anywhere yet, so that tells you just how precise Mark's work is! I don't think I've ever worked with a professional who hit all of these points; he was an absolute delight.

We called Mark Dolan, the owner, to provide an estimate on refinishing our hardwood floor after it suffered water damage from the tornado in June 2023. He took the time to explain his process, his timeline and costs. He answered all of our questions. He came over prior to the project starting to show us on our floor what the finish selections would look like. This was a huge help! He started the project on time and finished a half day early. We loved the finished product! We highly recommend Mark Dolan for any type of hardwood floor refinish. He also does handyman work. We were very pleased and impressed!

Mark Dolan of Summit Hardwood Floors provided an estimate for the work and was paid half of the value at the time of contract signing. He never performed the work, and actually moved out of state, never contacting me to let me know he was moving out of state. Mark Dolan has not effectively responded to communication regarding a refund for the work that was not performed. A demand letter was issued and he did not follow through with response for payment. As of June 2022, this contractor has had my money, not performed the work, and made multiple commitments to follow through with a certified check refund that he has not provided. This has been the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a contractor.

We first used Summit to replace carpet with wood flooring in our formal living room. It was a great experience and the end result was wonderful. The flooring made such a difference. After that, we continued additions projects with Mark. From more wood flooring throughout our main level to specific projects, he was always willing to help out or take on something new. This included framing and drywall, staining our steps and trim work. He has a diversified portfolio of work experience and will help wherever needed.

Mark was responsive, reasonably priced, and efficient, helping us get the project done in a short timeframe. The floors are beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. I would use Summit Flooring again and am recommending Mark to friends without hesitation.

Mark did an unbelievable job replacing all of our hardwood floors. I had some concern about our choice of hickory over the maple that we have had for years and he did a great job in convincing me that it was the perfect choice. Now that they are done, he was absolutely right! He did a great job of mixing the different colors that hickory offers. He was very accommodating to help us choose the correct color sealer and poly by putting samples down before we made the final decision. I had some concern on both colors with one being too light and the other too dark. Again, he mixed a small batch of both colors together so I could see what it would look like and we agreed the mixed colors were perfect. He was a joy to spend time with and now that the job is finished, we will miss him being here. I highly recommend hiring him for any type of work. You won't find anyone who will do a better job!

He did a great job getting around our radiators in our home. Our steps were also in rough shape but he sanded and smoothed them down so they look great!

I chose Summit Hardwood floors from a review site like this one. I have to admit it was the right choice. Mark was a true professional. He came in with a competitive estimate and delivered above our highest expectations. His attention to detail and pride in workmanship shows in the finished project. He re-stained our red oak hardwood floor to a brand new color. Of all the many home improvements we had performed over the last year, this job is the one that has made the biggest impact on beautifying our Eden Prairie home. We highly recommend this company and would use him again and again.

Couldn't recommend Mark enough. We were stuck in a pickle and needed our floors done in a short time frame. Mark was completely booked out for weeks but worked to squeeze us in. Mark was was extremely professional. He was thorough in his initial review of the home and the different services he offered. Throughout the process he would provide regular updates so we knew how things were progressing. The floors look absolutely amazing. Before he worked his magic there was 30+ years of dirt and wear and tear. After Mark completed everything, the floor looked brand new. I cannot speak highly enough about Marks work and professional.
