About us
At Summit Painting we strive to provide long lasting quality workmanship and an excellent experience for our customers. We are founded on a simple and powerful statement: "Bringing Professionalism to Painting" This organization was started and is still managed by individuals who are tired of getting a bad wrap for being a contractor. Poor communication, broken promises, poor work quality, unclear scheduling and unfair payment terms are all common problems found in this industry. We closely examined these issues and developed systems to not only provide solutions for these problems, but to exceed our customer’s expectations. THE SUMMIT PAINTING DIFFERENCE This is a professionally managed corporation. We are not: "college kids", "just painting for the summer", "a one man show" or "making extra money" We take our work seriously, take pride in our customer’s satisfaction and provide employment, while stimulating the economy. We are a highly organized company with several year round, full-time employees. Our laborers are highly committed and very excited to be a part of such a well structured company. We provide an excellent service and do everything in our power to obtain lifelong customer relationships and facilitate long term growth. In this organization, we utilize technology to its fullest extent, this allows us to provide the highest level of customer communication and support. "Thank you for the review! It was a pleasure working with you again! Let us know when you are ready to finish the rest of the interior. :-)"
"I am very sorry that you did not have the experience our customers have come to expect when working with our company. We try to do everything possible to provide a good experience for our customers. When the original proposal was submitted to you, we had tested the paint on your home for lead. The tests that we did came back negative. Unfortunately, different areas of the wall actually DID contain lead paint, whereas the areas tested during the initial consultation did not. Unfortunately, the law requires that we follow "lead safe" procedures when lead paint is being removed from the home. I halted the project for liability reasons once we discovered that there was more lead present than originally anticipated. Ultimately, I asked for a small amount of additional monies to cover extra costs (about 10% of the entire project) to follow lead procedures. I'm sorry if this did not come off as I had intended, but in all truth and honesty, this additional up-charge would only cover some of the additional costs. Lead renovation projects are extremely labor intensive and several additional regulations and worker safety specifications need to be followed in order to abide by the law. I'm really sorry that you were not happy with the final bill once you decided to cancel the contract. I only billed you for the exact number of hours my employees worked on your project (at their hourly rate). I didn't charge you anything for my companies assets, insurance, licensing, taxes, fuel or any of the other costs associated with doing business. I know you wanted a smaller bill, but I have already taken a loss on your project by asking you to only pay my employees take home wages. Lastly, dear Angie's List member, you signed up with our company for exterior painting in January. The primary reason for project delays were weather related. I hope you do have this project completed this summer and the experience with your next contractor goes well. I do appreciate your feedback and hope that in the future I am better able to handle situations like this and make each and every one of our customers happy to work with us. Warm Regards, Daniel Bailo President & Owner - Summit Painting"
"Thank you for the review! I'm glad I was able to earn your business. Please let me know if you have any further issues with your caulking around the windows and doors. I hope it finally stopped developing those air pockets beneath the bead. Thanks again!"
