My name is Louis Nichole. I am a 71 year old senior citizen. I filed a lawsuit against Superior Fuel in Connecticut Superior Court, Docket No. UWY-CV15-6028443-S. The work performed by Superior Fuel was defective, deficient and not acceptable for the following reasons: 1)They provided mechanical HVC specifications that were improperly sized. A mechanical engineer was hired to redo the entire specifications. 2)Superior/Riggi was an oil/service provider.They had little to no experience with propane, yet took on entire house of 6,000 sq ft...(radiant Heating.)... which I was informed later.... they had never done before. 3)They provided and installed an improperly sized regulator for my tanks.... and would not uphold the one year warranty, despite it was faulty.... and was removed by a reliable propane company. 4) Riggi installed a European Cooktop .... not even reviewing the manufacturers instructions which were presented. That new stove top was replaced after one year. 5) Above all, they were paid in full for the work they performed and refused to remediate any of the undersized work they had installed. The house remains uninhabitable in 2023 with the work they performed. I then filed another litigation against Superior Fuel in Waterbury Small Claims Court, UWY-CV-22-5029642-B. A judgment in my favor was issued on April 13, 2022 in Small Claims Court against Riggi, individually, and Superior Fuel, (sold and no longer doing business as Superior Fuel.) I was awarded the full amount sought. Superior HVAC and Tank Removal is a new company formed in the State of CT in 2018. Their website states "Since 1947 Superior HVAC and Tank Removal has been Connecticut’s source for exceptional service and quality products." I always allow people to do their own diligence and make their own decisions after reading "on line reviews"

We'd never had a house with heating oil before. I called, I asked a lot of questions. The woman on the phone was great, explained what would happen, what she needed. Set us up with an appointment, the driver called ahead was prompt and courteous. No issues at all. The price was competitive as well. <br />

Contacted Superior when previous Propane provider proved to be just too difficult to deal with. Salesman Rich contacted me promptly and came out to house and fully explained their Propane services. Turns out Rich lives just a few houses next to mine. Rich set everything up including a delivery date that fit my schedule. Explained their contract completely and made sure I had all my questions answered. Arranged to make affordable payments to get everything set up considering it was already the heating season and my previous Propane provide had left me without Propane. <br /> On delivery day Rich and the delivery technician (sorry don't remember his name) arrived on time as promised with all the new equipment and everything necessary to install two new Propane Tanks. The old tank was quickly removed and placed where I requested to be picked up by the old provider. Then the area was properly prepared for the new Tanks and the new tanks were installed and connected. The technician then fully tested the installation, making sure there were no leaks and making sure my furnace was functioning. The technician then took the time to fully explain about the new equipment, how the tanks would be filled and also noted for the delivery person where the tanks were located and best access. Finally the technician cleaned the tanks and touched up a few scratches. It was very obvious the technician cared about his work and wanted the equipment to present the best possible image. He also mentioned that as part of my contact with Superior they would clean and maintain the tanks so if I had any concerns to simply contact them and they would come out and take care of the issue. <br /> The tanks came with enough Propane to last until the first filling which took place withing a few days, again on schedule. The driver delivered the propane by walking across the front yard and down a small hill to the back yard where the tanks are located. I had requested the tanks be accessed from the driveway which is shorter and safer for the driver. After calling Superior and explaining the situation they took note of my request and subsequent deliveries have been made via the driveway. <br /> We have had no issues with Superior that have not been quickly and satisfactorily addressed and are too minor to mention here. We have been very pleased with Superior and it shows that working with a locally owned and operated company is far better. My only regret is that I did not switch to them sooner. <br />

It was 100 gallons and it was a little bit more than the going rate at the time. The price wasn't exorbitant. I was running out of oil and they came. Otherwise it would have been an emergency situation.

They are fine. I would not give them five stars and I would not give them two stars. They are fine. Whenever I have called them they have addressed things. They are professional, although they are kind of nickel and dime-ish. I have a service contract with them and then they come out and charge me, like, three dollars for this and six dollars for that. I want to tell them I have a $250 service contract with them so either charge me $100 or charge me nothing. I would not hesitate to use them.

They have done a lot of work for us over the years. They have been a very good contractor. I have nothing but the most respect for Joe Ridgey and his family. They have always done quality work and they are committed to doing a good job. I've never really had a bad experience with them at all. Sometimes his pricing has been a little higher than other people. I would absolutely use them again.

I had a appointment at 8:00 am they showed up right on time . They introduced themselves and where very friendly . I was showed each and everyone of my ducts before they where cleaned I was amazed of the dust,mold and nasty things in there which I think was one of the reasons we all got so sick .Also showed me them after the cleaning what a difference . I had several questions that I had asked while this was happening and they knew all the answer with great knowledge. I would recommend Superior Fuel Inc. to anyone -I was very pleased with the job that was done.We also spoke about oil and a service contract and I am now a customer of Superior Fuel.If I had to rate Superior Fuel on a scale from 1-10 they would get a 10 very impressed.
