Job was completed on 4/15/2015 and since I was unable, physically to climb up into the attic, I assumed that the job was done in a professional manner. Several weeks ago, in January 2018, I returned home from a hospitalization and my wife called me upstairs to the second floor of my home and stated that there was water dripping from our master bathroom exhaust fan. This obviously concerned me so I contacted my electrician, water and electricity do not do well together. The electrician came and gained access to the attic area and stated that the exhaust's fans flexible tube that directs the exhaust air towards the soffit was disconnected from the fan and was causing the warm air that was being vented to condense into ice crystals to form on the fan exposed to the cold air in the attic. Subsequently, heat rising from the bathroom was causing the ice crystals to turn into water, and drip down into the bathroom. I told him that I had Superior Insulation upgrade my insulation in 2015. The electrician stated that perhaps they could have disengaged the exhaust tube to fill in around the fan and forgot to reconnect it, or they accidentally knocked the tube from the exhaust fan and did not notice it. Additionally, I was told that the same thing on a second bathroom fan venting into the attic was totally missing the venting coil. Lastly, I was told that the attic appeared to have plenty of insulation, however, that ventilation was covering a large portion of the soffits thus causing a circulation problem and air flow. I contacted Superior Insulation and informed them of my concerns and requested that they come to the house and inspect the attic to remedy any problem that they find. I was told by the owner that they would come. That was back in early January and now it is going into the second week of February. I have contacted the company at least 3 times and have been promised that they were going to come. The last time the owner told me that he wanted to bring one of the men who did the original insulation with him , have not heard from them since. This company has received 66 ratings according to your site, 64 have been excellent and 2 have been good, nothing lower that that. I dare to say that I probably was one of the customers that originally rated them excellent, Obviously that has changed and now they have their first failing rating because of lack of attention to the problem after being notified numerous times.

Ron did an excellent job. He is prompt and professional. He is very helpful with identifying fixes to climate control problems. I would highly recommend him and I would hire again in the future.

Professional job

The work was completed within one week of my original phone call. They were thorough and we already experienced an improvement. Ron and his crew were concerned, professional, and thorough. They checked out every area to make sure it wasn't the source of a problem and corrected all of the problems they encountered. We couldn't be happier!

I communicated with Ron directly and he was determined to solve our insulation problems. He had to remove drywall in our entranceway and add in insulation where there were large gaps and air was getting in. He had a worker drywall and patch up the wall. The drywall worker did an amazing job!  <br /> Ron also fixed an ongoing issue we had in our garage ceiling that was causing our living room floor to be cold and drafty. He worked around our schedule and made multiple visits to our home to fix the issue. We are happy customers and happy to say that the problem is fixed. We were very pleased with Ron and his company and do recommend him highly. <br />

They were prompt, courteous and informative. That did a great job. My basement was cleaner when that left than it was before they came. I would highly recommend.

The gentlemen from Superior Insulation discovered a missing piece of duct work that was causing air from the cold air return of our geothermal heating unit to be pulling air from the unconditioned attic space above our second floor bedrooms.  My husband installed the duct work. <br /> They put blown in insulation above our family room, above our second floor bedrooms and on top of duct work inside knee walls running the length of the house and also did spray foam insulation around some small doors into knee walls. <br /> The work done by Superior Insulation decreased our energy usage by 40%. <br /> We would recommend Superior Insulation to anyone. <br />

We are finishing our basement. We put up framing, insulation and paneling only to discover we had a condensation problem. We contacted a locally well known water damage and restoration company. After waiting two weeks, they called to tell us they were not interested in working with us. During these few weeks, we tore down the paneling and insulation.  We contacted Superior Insulation after noticing their great reviews here on Angie's List. We talked to Rick who gave us an idea of what the solution was and set up an appointment to view the problem area. Once he saw the problem area, he decided on a slightly different solution. Contract signed 3/18/15. Work completed  by Rick and Jim 3/30/15. They were very professional, thorough and nice to deal with. We are very happy with what they did. <br />

Rick returned our initial contact immediately.  Came out to the house in a very timely way and crawled throughout our large attics to provide us with an accurate, written price estimate.  Rick gave us the name brand of insulation they use so we could research it online.  He explained the benefit of the John Manville insulation versus other types of insulation.  He scheduled our job for the following week, was slightly early for the installation job and completed the job in a timely manner.  We liked the fact that there was no middleman salesperson.  Rick estimated the job and installed it as well.  We have already noticed an improvement in the comfort of our home.  Rick honored the AngiesList coupon so the cost actually was less than the estimate. <br />

After broken pipes were repaired by plumber, I called Superior and they set an appointment approx. two days later. From my description of the size(about 12 x 36 feet) and condition of the area, he gave me a price for the job.  They arrived promptly on 10/7, we signed the contract and they worked without stopping throughout the morning. They tore out the old insulation, which was soaked due to the leak, had been installed incorrectly decades ago and had chicken wire holding it up.  Despite moist and dirty conditions in the cramped crawlspace, they worked efficiently and quickly. They bagged and loaded the old insulation to take with them for disposal. They installed all new, superior insulation and cleaned up.  They completed the job for the price agreed upon and in less time than expected.  We would not hesitate to use this service provider again. <br />

Rick responded to our call within 24 hours and set up a time and date the same week for an estimate of the the job. He pointed out the need for a much higher quality of blown in insulation other than what we currently had. He checked to make sure our exhaust fans were properly vented and explained the reasons we had some issues with heating and cooling on the second floor. Improper distribution of insulation, lack of insulation in some areas and a low grade of material were problems that were corrected by Superior Insulation Co. Rick came earlier than expected and completed the job quickly. Our friends next door came over an expressed interest in having their insulation increased as well. Rick was able to add insulation to their home as soon as he finished our house. We are very satisfied with the work. He did exactly what we expected and for the price he quoted on the written estimate. We are very happy with the materials used and can't wait to feel how much warmer the second floor will be this winter. We would recommend Superior to anyone needing this type of service. <br />

Superior was very professional, willing to work with me after I altered the scope of the job to be performed. They were also very prompt and efficient with their time which I appreciated very much. I thought the price was fair for the work performed. <br />

It went great. I had worked with Superior previously because they did insulation where I work. Both times everything has gone super smooth. They show up on time and they get the job done. I had two separate attics in my home that needed a lot more insulation (some spots were bare). The job didn't take very long to complete. They cleaned up after doing each spot. He even helped me round up my dog that ran outside to great him when he showed up. I would highly recommend them to do any job they are willing to get into the small odd spaces that no one wants to go in. They are super professional and get the job down right. They even asked if I wanted to check out the work. The one access is small so I didn't check that one but I checked the other one and it looked great. So much better than what we had before. My house is now ready to be warmer this winter. <br />

Providedestimated cost during our original phone call based on floor space measurements that I provided.  At my request because of a last minute schedule change adjusted the installation date.  Arrived exactly on time.  And completed the work within thee hours.  Advised me of a 5% off coupon for performance of the work and honored the coupon.  Invited me to examine the work which I did.  In my opinion he performed work beyond what I expected at no added cost.  They were cordial and friendly and represented small business very well.  I am completely happy with the work and at a considerable savings over the other estimate of $6,000 I received from another firm.  I don't hesitate to recommend them to others who need to augment their attic insulation <br />

I was really pleased with the work of Superior Insulation, and in particular, the material they used to insulate my garage and attic. It was nice to go up to the attic and not sneeze and cough away like I had done with cellulose insulation the previous owner used. It looks like a winter wonderland up there now, which is apropos since most of our storage is all Christmas decoration.  <br /> They insulated as per the estimate, which meant installing much needed soffit vents, insulationa vinyl blanket in the attic, then had me check their work. What really impressed me was the speed in which they worked. It was all done in a couple of hours! There are contractors who are fast, but do really shoddy work, and there are contractors who are fast, but still do excellent work. Richard and Jim most definitely fall in the latter category. <br />

It went perfectly, they arrived on time and worked till it was finished and cleaned up when done. They even fixed all mistakes previous installers made. from vents on exhaust fans to cable installers removing insulation and not replacing. They gave me a price that we agreed to. and that was the price when they finished. I recommend them completely. In fact I ask for them to come back to insulate a detached garage, the price for that was also very reasonable. <br />

Called Superior and received a call back same day.  Came out to provide an estimate in a couple of days and then we scheduled and they performed the work shortly following estimate.  They arrived early each time and did exactly as quoted.  They had to squeeze into some small spaces and communicated with each other on what needed to be done.   Superior was very professional and truely experienced at what they do.  My home was left clean and in same order as when they started.  They did a great job from start  to finish.  Very pleased with work performed and would give them a A++++++ rating. <br />

As with the estimate, Richard arrived exactly on time for the insulation addition, and he and Jim performed flawless work with a freindly and professional attitude. They worked quickly and installed 48 styrofoam vents in the rafters in the confined space of my attic (to allow for critical airflow through the soffit).  In addition to the excellent service, Rick also explained the fascinating machinery and process for blowing the insulation into the attic.  After the job was finished, the invoice was exactly the quoted estimate price. <br /> I would quickly hire them again, and I highly recommend this company and employees to anyone who needs insulation.  Richard stated that the savings in heating/cooling costs could exceed the insulation and installation cost within 2 years. Contacted them for an estimate and had a return call and date scheduled the same date.  Very accommodating for appointment times. Met with Rick, very polite and professional, looked at the site and estimate was quick and much less expensive than I was expecting.  He was able to schedule the installation the next week. They showed up on time, completed the job quickly.  They cleaned everything up and had me inspect prior to leaving the site to ensure I was happy with the work.  They did an amazing job, my house is well over a hundred years old and nothing is square or standard measure.  They made it look easy and cared about doing a good job.  I would definately use them again and would recommend them to anyone. <br />
