They were excellent to work with giving us a complete detailed estimate for each of our 3 projects including all of our allowances. Including agreed upon payments schedules for each. They communicated schedules and any adjustment to those schedules, which were all minor. They cleaned at the end of each day of work to keep the dirt down to a minimum. As we did 3 different projects, each with their own contract, if we had not been happy with the first or second we obviously would have not continued to work with them. Friends of ours recommended Superior K&B and we are completely satisfied with their work, including their selected sub-contractors.

Brandon did a number of other smaller jobs we asked throughout the original SOW and was receptive to everything we asked for. We could not be happier with his work and character as a professional and person. He provides a line-by-line item SOW, down the cost of material for masks and gloves. As the SOW changed, Brandon continuously updated the document. He saved us some money numerous times as portions of the SOW were deemed unnecessary by either him or us. That is rare. Highly recommend Superior to anyone! It's like hiring family members to do the work, but the family members actually show up and finish! He truly has your best interests in mind regarding time of completion, requests, changes, and price.

We've had a lot of renovation work done on our house over the last several years, and Superior Kitchens And Baths was the best company that we've worked with overall. Jane, Brandon, and their entire crew and subcontractors were all great to work with. They were very responsive, hard working, professional, stuck closely to their schedules, and did high quality work across the board. Additionally, Jane, Brandon, and Dustin are genuinely nice people that were great to get to know and interact with throughout the effort. From the start, Jane and Brandon came up with creative solutions to allow us to get everything we wanted in the renovation, and figured out potential pitfalls and workarounds before the work even started. They were great with helping us decide on overall designs and individual items throughout the work. They put together a thorough breakdown of costs for their proposal that they tracked throughout the effort, as well as a schedule that they stuck closely to. When unforeseen circumstances came up with folks getting sick and being unable to work, Brandon worked long days and weekends to keep caught up with their schedule. They seemed to treat the job like it was their own house. Overall, we'd highly recommend them, and would hire them again for any future work.

We could not be happier with Brandon's work, punctuality, cleanliness, personality, communication, honesty, pricing, and overall character. We actually had contracted to do some extra work for a few thousand. Day 1 of the job, Brandon calls to let us know that we do not need to do the work as he took the time and effort to get other opinions on the installation of a beam. Again, character. He could have easily installed, but he took the time to do right by his customer and that, in our experience, is essentially unheard of. The work he completed for us-on schedule-was more than we could have hoped for. He really does great work, listens to the customer (we are guilty of making many changes and talking far too much), but Brandon is beyond patient and willing to work with you. If you are looking to remodel a kitchen, bath, or in general, look no further than Superior. You are hiring someone who truly cares about his work and the customer. Rare in any business these days. We will definitely hire Brandon when the time comes for our next project-no hesitation.

The project went very well. Jane, Brandon and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job with everything from planning the project to picking out what materials we needed. They met every date that they outlined in the quote and were always on time. Every thing that we asked of them they provided and they made sure we were happy with it before finishing. Everyone who has visited us has commented on the bathroom and how fantastic it came out. We would definitely hire Superior Kitchen and Bath again in the future for any job that we have. Thank you so much guys for making our bathroom so beautiful.

We chose Superior Kitchens to completely remodel our kitchen (finished in 2015) because of their high rating, professionalism in providing a complete quote, and examples of their beautiful floor design work. They were not the cheapest vendor we considered, but remember that old saying: you get what you pay for. Superior provided excellent project management: costs controlled carefully, schedule maintained despite inevitable delays by unforeseen hiccups (supplier delays, sub-flooring needed replacement, etc.), and addressed any questions/quality issues/changes requested by the fussy home owner (me) after the project began. All the members of their team, and the subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, painters) involved in the project were responsible and pleasant. Our friends love our new kitchen, and our most comment compliments concern the fantastic flooring design. After the job ended, we asked them to quote and replace all the vinyl flooring in the kids’ bathrooms, our mudroom hallway, and laundry room, as well as update a small bathroom. Their prices for these jobs were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend them to any homeowner who wants to remodel, and would hire these wonderful people again. And again.

Is there a higher rating than “A?” If I mash the buttons harder, will it unlock an “Ultra-Mega A?” That should be a thing. What can I say that hasn’t been said already? I needed experts with creative solutions, and I got them. I called Superior for my master bath project based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews I found here, and from beginning to end, Jane and Brandon showed the "A” rating with their courtesy, professionalism and expertise. Responses were prompt, visits were on schedule and all budgeting was completely transparent with no surprises. From planning to materials acquisition to execution, all work was performed with an attention to detail that went beyond the scope of the job; they showed a genuine concern for our time, our home and our satisfaction that’s as refreshing as it is rare. Yes, they’re a busy crew, and deservedly so. Once you’ve worked with them, you’ll see that their schedule is a result of their focus; you’ll be glad you waited to have that kind of attention turned to you. Ultra-Mega A. Get on that, Angie.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Brandon and Jane. The first two visits were to go over what we wanted and they accurately translated that into a very detailed quote. The detail in the quote was extremely helpful in making cost trade offs as the project progressed.

Jane's input on design decisions were outstanding. The bathrooms turned out better than we expected thanks to Jane's suggestions and Brandon and his team's quality work.

Brandon and Jane were constantly communicating during the course of the project. Everyone arrived when they were scheduled to arrive. On the very few cases where they hit an unexpected issue, they were very quick to reschedule the work in order to keep the project going on schedule.

Overall, the best experience we have had with any contractor doing work on our house. We highly recommend them.

Jane and Brandon are outstanding people to work with and truly live up to their company's name.
We made an appointment with Jane to meet us in our (one bathroom) condo which my sister had lived in for more than 30 years. Jane listened to what we wanted, which turned out to be a full remodel! She took some measurements, and promised to get back to us in a few days with a plan and cost estimate. We were also concerned about losing the "bathroom functionality" as we had no back-up, but she assured us they could do something to keep us "going" while the renovation was going on. Thanks to her advice, suggestions, and support, the bathroom was spot on in terms of the timing of the job, and, more importantly, cost. Her suggestions between the bathroom fixtures, cabinetry, paint, tile flooring, and accessories, were perfect for what we were looking for. She also served as point person with neighbors and such as the work at times impacted other owners.
Her partner, Brandon, and his team were meticulous in every aspect of the rework, both during and after the renovation. They were perfectionists ... and this was especially evident in our small bathroom where every detail is so obvious. Not to mention that he was so polite, respectful, and caring as he came in and out of the condo regularly.
Our new bathroom is stunning! We are very happy with it.

It was extremely nice to work with competent contractors, for a change. They are booked pretty solid yet still seem to make time for everything.
Cost was fair for services.
Communication was on and off before the project started but once you are on their radar, they get back to you immediately. Emails late at night, calls on the weekend. Early hours and weekend work; these guys want to get it done.
They ensure that every detail is completed.
The only negative I could say is that they only work with one granite place for countertops.

We hired Superior Kitchen and Bath to replace our existing bathroom and bathtub with a completely new bathroom with a walk in shower. They were selected based on their very detailed cost estimate that demonstrated that they were experienced professionals and knew exactly how to approach this project. The work involved demolishing the entire bathroom, expanding the bathroom area by taking an adjacent closet, relocating the air stacks, relocating the bathroom door to allow for expanding the shower area. After reframing for a new ADA compliant walk in shower, new plumbing and electrical connections were made and a new vanity, toilet and tiles, and plaster completed the project. The end result was excellent. Jane and Brandon and their team did a fantastic job. They worked very closely with us throughout the project to make sure the vision we had for our new bathroom met our expectations. I highly recommended this company for anyone considering remodeling their bathrooms
Jane and Brendon were so easy to work with. They provided recommendations for the rehab including layout suggestions, and checked with us any time they had questions. They ran interference for a vendor who they didn't usually deal with, who delivered a poor quality vanity top, and worked to get everyone an equitable resolution. Mostly we dealt with Jane who was happy to accommodate us when we asked for any changes. There were times that Jane ordered from her tile and plumbing supply houses just to make it easier for us. They were patient with unending delays in getting a special order tub. All in all, a pleasant experience with two wonderful people. Thanks, Jane and Brendon!

From the first meeting with Jane we knew we would want to hire her team for our bathroom remodel.

Jane arrived for the first appointment to take some measurements and get a feel for what our goals were for the bathroom. We described what features we wanted in the remodeled bathroom (bubble tub, heated floor, possible heated towel rack ...). She took lots of notes and talked about fixtures, tile, and countertops. Jane was very easy to work with. She created an estimate based on our first meeting that was within our budget with a clear breakdown and very easy to understand.

At the second meeting we were joined by Brandon and their team of contractors who would be doing the actual work. They took their time listening to what we wanted to accomplish and we all discussed the best approach to get the job done. We could move the toilet from the existing wall to an adjacent wall. The cost of moving the plumbing would be minimal and by turning the direction of the toilet it allowed us to purchase a wider tub. They also suggested repositioning the sink on our vanity. SInce our cabinates are two pieces, Brandon suggestion to move the sink from its current off-center position to a center position made the counter setup much more pleasing to the eye. With these added suggestions, Jane revised the estimate and gave us a new breakdown that was very clear and still worked within our budget.

Jane was extremely helpful picking out the material for the project. She met us at both the tile store and the counter distributer and guided us with great suggestions as to what would look great.

The highest complement I can give to Brandon, Jane and their entire team was they treated our house as if it were their own. They cleaned up every day so we could still walk comfortably around our room safely. It was a joy to work with this team and cannot wait to hire them again in the future.

Our bathroom renovation was a very pleasant experience from start to finish! Jane and her team were professional, courteous, and knowledgable.
In helping us with the numerous decisions along the way, Jane brought high energy and enthusiasm as well as many great ideas. It was definitely a collaborative effort throughout the whole project.
Jane had a well thought out project plan, which enabled the work to progress smoothly. The project was completed within the estimated window even with some unforeseen, yet necessary, plumbing repairs to the upstairs bathroom.
We are extremely happy with our new bathroom, and we would highly recommend Superior Kitchens and Baths to anyone looking to renovate their bathroom. We truly enjoyed working with Jane and her team.
I had an mental mage of what I wanted the bathroom to look like. Jane made my image into reality. In every step of the project, Jane would suggest fixtures, tiles, colors etc. and I would agree with her suggestions and I am very happy with the results. Each of her teams that did a part of the project were very polite and professional while doing terrific work. My new bathroom is beautiful.
After the bathroom, I wanted a kitchen backsplash. Jane's suggestions are so good that I did not pick or see the final tile or color, I just went with her suggestion. . My new kitchen backsplash is perfect..
Brandon and his crew are fantastic! My wife and I are totally satisfied with his job. We did a total makeover of our kitchen and pantry, about 300 square feet total. Job included gutting to the studs, wiring, plumbing, insulation, blueboard & plaster, painting, cabinet install, custom shelving in pantry and bookcase, hardwood floor repair and refinishing. All of Brandon's subcontractors were quality people as well. Brandon made a schedule ahead of time, and held to it, even when other contractors (countertop install) threw 'monkey wrenches' into the schedule. This is very important to you when you are eating off of a hot plate!
From start to finish, Brandon communicated everything very clearly and responded promptly to any calls or emails.
No major project goes without minor glitches, but Brandon stood behind his commitment at every turn, and made sure every part of the job was up to our very high standards.
He handled all the paperwork and permitting with the town seemlessly.
His price was very reasonable, significantly less expensive than other quotes, yet his work was top-notch.
I would not hesitate to recommend Superior K&B to anyone for their project.
As my wife and I were planning the possibility of remodeling our bathroom, we decided to bring a few companies in to give us rough estimates and to also just meet people as sort of an interview to see how we thought working closely with them for a month would go. We planned on bringing in about 3 different companies who clearly had a great track record on Angie?s List to see how we thought they would be to work with.
The 2nd company to come through was Superior Kitchens and Baths. Jane Newhouse met with us in our bathroom and was so attentive and inquisitive of what we wanted. We also knew that we liked her personality and her approach, so we decided to go with them.
The first thing Jane did was to send out a very itemized proposal and budget for us to use when picking out all of the tile, fixtures, tub, sinks, granite, etc.
The first thing we needed to do was to pick out tile for the floor and shower/bath. Jane met up with us at Fitzgerald Tile in Woburn and helped us pick out tile that she not only thought would work well together, but we were really happy with, while staying within our budget.
The vendors that Jane recommended we use were all great as well. Not only that, but they also spoke very highly of SK&B, which is always great to hear as well. All subcontractors were also very professional and great to work with.
Our bathroom ended up being a complete gut (We did the demo ourselves to save a little money). We went down to the studs, floor and ceiling so this was a pretty big project (1 month, plus another month to receive the glass for the custom shower).
It was quite amazing how part from an extra day needed for plumbing (unforeseen issue regarding the moving of our toilet), these guys were able to adhere to a daily schedule. We almost always knew exactly what was going on each day. Their workmanship is second to none, including the smallest details.
I highly recommend Superior Kitchens and Baths for a bathroom remodel ? that is, if you can book them. They?re certainly in high demand, so plan ahead!
Our house was built in 1920. When we bought the house around ten years ago we knew we would have a lot of work to do, especially in the kitchen. The kitchen was a small galley style kitchen with little counter space and even less storage. The dining room next to it had one chandelier for light and one outlet. My husband and I thought to combine our small galley kitchen and dining room to create a new large kitchen area. We knew that we could not do it ourselves and we knew that we wanted a great contractor to do it. My husband joined Angies List in hopes of finding a contractor who could make our dream come true. We found that contractor in Superior Kitchens and Baths with Brandon and Jane Newhouse.
From our first meeting we knew we liked Brandon. He was very enthusiastic about what we wanted to do and that enthusiasm never waned from the start to the finish of our kitchen renovation. Brandon saw what our hopes were and he helped us to hone our ideas into a beautiful and wonderfully functional kitchen. After meeting to discuss our thoughts and measuring our space, Brandon was able to provide us with three-dimensional drawings of new kitchen layout ideas. Once we settled on a plan he gave us a very detailed project quote. This quote included each step in the process and the costs incurred for each step. I have to say that Brandon?s team not only stayed within budget but also stayed on time. Each day, Brandon answered our questions, educated us on the various aspects of the project, introduced us to talented craftspeople, which all together, made our dream kitchen come to life!
I cannot tell you how much we absolutely LOVE our new kitchen. We spend more time in it (that?s where I am writing this review right now) than any other room in the house. It?s warm and inviting for our small family or any large gathering. It has so much more storage than it did before and I have more outlets than I need (which I love). This kitchen has brought new life to our old home. We are so very grateful to Brandon, Jane and their team of professionals.
With any project you have to make choices and hope that it will work out. Brandon and Jane, all of the other contractors, were able to see what I wanted and give me solid advice when it came to making those choices. From the beginning I felt confident that they knew what our hopes were and by the end that proved correct. Brandon and Jane?s team of contractors are extremely competent and professional. They care about what they do and shows in their work. Each person has excellent skill set in each of their areas of expertise and they are friendly to top it off. I would not hesitate to contact Brandon and Jane to start another project. In fact we are saving for a bathroom renovation.
PROJECT DETAILS:
Before the project officially began Brandon came to the house and set up plastic zip doors to keep the dust and debris out of the rest of our house. He also installed floor coverings to protect our wooden floors. A constant (and appreciated) question from Brandon, as well as the other contractors, was, ?How?s the dust?? To be honest cleanliness was never an issue and all of the contractors were very good about cleaning up when they were done.
Cabinets: Our first step was to choose our new cabinets as they can take a month or so to be fabricated and shipped. Brandon sent us up with a cabinet company. They were wonderful and we were very quickly, able to find the style and colors we wanted while staying within our budget.
Demolition: The old kitchen was completely gutted and thrown in the dumpster! Brandon set up for a company to come in to do the job. These guys worked very hard over two days removing walls, ceilings and also an old chimney that ran from the basement out the top of the house. Brandon and his team came over to fix the roof making sure it was sealed properly. Remember that all of these walls and ceilings were plaster (and it is not easy to remove plaster). These guys were great and when they were done the room was clean and ready to be worked on.
New wall, windows, etc.: The back wall of the new kitchen was completely removed and reframed. They rebuilt the entire wall. They also removed a window and rebuilt it into the wall ? shingled outside and framed the interior wall, getting it ready for drywall. Insulation went in, a new window, a new door. After the walls had been plastered Shawn framed the new window, door and floor by finding new trim that matched the rest of the house. He and Brandon also installed the new cabinets. See below for more details about that!
Flooring: We decided early on that we would put new flooring in the room. The previous kitchen had three or four layers of old linoleum and the dining room had a wood floor. There was an inch in height difference between the two. My husband and I wanted a wood floor so Brandon coordinated that. He priced out the floor and it was just what we wanted and within budget. The new flooring was put in over a couple of days and it started to transform the empty space. The floors were stained after all of the cabinets had been installed a few weeks later.
Plumbing/HVAC: Our current heating system is forced hot air and there was a duct in the old wall that led up to the second floor. The plumber rerouted the ductwork that went upstairs to an interior wall. He then added a new vent in the kitchen area (now our kitchen is the warmest room in the house). The plumber also tackled the sink, dishwasher and water line to the refrigerator. The previous plumbing all had to be moved.
Electrical: Our previous kitchen and dining room had a combined four outlets. It was a constant annoyance to not be able to plug anything in. The electrician not only got us up to code but also even discussed with me which switch plate should be first by asking, ?When you come in with groceries (or whatever), which light do you think you?d want on first?? And then we decided based off my answer which switch plate would go to which light. Very thoughtful! We have so many lights now in our kitchen: we can dim them all, we can have only certain lights on at a time? it?s very versatile.
Counter Tops/Sink/Faucet/Backsplash: To choose a counter top I met up with Jane Newhouse. Jane met with me at the store and pointed me in the right direction. We wanted a quartz counter and she showed me the samples. She talked with me about what I wanted it to look like and the benefits of each. I went home with two samples and was able to get input from my daughter and husband that night! We put in the order the next day. After we met to do the counter selection Jane also helped me to choose a new sink and faucet for the counter. I knew I wanted an under mounted sink. Jane sent me an email with a link to a website that had sinks and faucets to choose from. I asked her questions about which would work best and we found the perfect pieces. One of the last choices we had to make was the backsplash. By then Jane knew exactly what the feel of the kitchen was and she helped me to pick out the perfect stone.
Plastering: The day these guys came to work it was snowing out. Not only was it snowing it was forecasted to be a ?blizzard like storm.? (I actually half expected them not to come!) They came ready to go and spent the entire day putting up drywall (floors and ceilings) and then plastered it all!
Cabinet Installation: About this time the cabinets were ready for installation. I have to highlight the astounding work Brandon and Shawn did to install the new cabinets. Our home is almost 100 years old. From the front of the kitchen to the back there is a large slope in the floor. Not only that but our walls are no longer at right angles. In our old kitchen oranges would roll off the counter! There was nothing Brandon and Shawn could have done to fix the walls besides rebuilding the house but these two were a
