The serviceman called ahead of his arrival, allowing me to prepare for him. When I explained what was required, he explained his solutions, answering all my questions. He completed all the tasks I asked for in a reasonable time frame. I was surprised when he told me that because of the make of lock in the doorknob, simply making a replacement key was not possible--I would need the lock replaced. I relied on his judgement in this matter, telling him to proceed. He had a replacement in his tool box, removed the previous unit and inserted the new lock in an efficient manner. While the price he quoted was higher than I expected, it was not unreasonable. He was professional, skilled and courteous. I would recommend him to other customers.

I called Sure-Fit Security and they were able to provide same day service. Within a couple of hours of my call, Eric was at my front door to open the locked interior door. They have a great coupon deal on Angie's List which saved me 50% off the trip charge. I am glad I found Sure-Fit Security on Angie's List. The service was excellent and quick. The staff was right on time.

I scheduled the service with a phone call and made sure the Angie's list coupon was still valid. On the day of the job, as I needed to leave work to meet with the service person he was corteous enough to call me sometime before he arrived at the property. When he arrived, he introduced himself as Eric, told me how Sure-Fit Security works in this type of situation, explained how the charges were going to be made (fixed fee+dollar amount per hour) and he got to work on the lock. Seeing as the lock was probably jammed by a foreign object, and it was impossible to pick it and open, Eric advised me he would need to drill the lock and replace it. He did the job in a matter of minutes and got the mailbox opened and replaced with a new one. After he was done, he cleaned the driveway of the debris that originated from the drilling. Very honest, fast and reasonably priced.

Very well, would hire again. I called on a Monday and they offered me an appt for Tuesday, so very easy to schedule and work with.

Whether it’s for your home or your business (I use them for both) one of the contractors you had better have complete trust in is your locksmith. We have been using Surefit Security for over thirty years and couldn't be happier with our experiences. They are extremely knowledgeable and have offered viable and prompt solutions addressing all of our locksmith needs. From replacing hardware and doors to developing and implementing new master key systems in high rise office buildings they have never let us down. The employees who come on site to perform work are professional and courteous and the office staff and owners are always available for consultation when needed. To say that I highly recommend them is an understatement. I really can’t see us ever using anyone else.

The installation tech was very good. The VP and customer service for organizing the scheduling and contacting me regarding appointment, quote and status was horrible. Non-existent, actually. I had to contact them to get my quote after waiting 2 weeks. Also had to call two weeks later to find out my appointment was set up for 2 days later. And the price they quoted was different than the price they quoted the insurance company, so now I am out $1700. In dealing with the VP to express my concerns, he continued to be degrading and tell me it was my fault and provided no assistance, empathy or assistance. Absolutely horrible experience. Would recommend that others use ANY other company than this one.

Eli arrived punctually after calling to alert me of his arrival. Once here, after hearing the problem, he looked at the door and realized the problem was that the door had settled low. I didn't need new locks, as I had thought; instead, he simply fixed the door so the locks fit correctly again. Instead of having to pay for new hardware, I was only charged for the visit and 15 minutes of time.

Locked out due to circumstances beyond my control. First said they would be there in 30min. Did not call to say that he'd be late, that there was traffic - nothing. An hour and a half later, he finally shows up. Can't get either of two very easy locks picked, so has to drill my door open, of course. handy that it's super expensive to replace the lock now. Although If I'd been expecting an hour and a half wait, I could have gone to Home Depot and bought a lock that I WANTED in my door, and had them put that in, should they have needed it.

They were able to come out very quickly, at a convenient time, when our front door lock gave out. They installed a much more secure lock, so we're glad to have the new one installed. <br />

Update 4/8/15: I have changed my ratings for Price and Professionalism from B to A because I was contacted yesterday by Jim (Owner? / Manager?) at Sure Fit Security.  He had read my earlier review and noted that the technician had not fully followed protocol by not telling me in advance what the costs would be, and he offered a 10% discount on the work.  THIS, DEAR READERS, IS CALLED GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!  My earlier comments were not really negative - I just expressed surprise at the final cost while at the same time acknowledging that I still considered it reasonable given the quality of the service and equipment.  The follow-up from Jim demonstrates that the value of using a company like Sure Fit Security, as well as the value of using Angies List and providing useful feedback in reviews. <br /> ========================================= <br /> <br /> My real estate agent recommended this company. I found them on Angies List and they were local and well-reviewed.  I left a message via Angies List after hours and was promptly contacted the next morning.  They were able to schedule a technician to come to my house between 10am and 1pm.  The technician arrived shortly after 10am.  I was delayed, and he agreed to wait the 15 minunutes it was going to take for me to arrive. The technician was knowledgeable and professional, not overly friendly, but ok. <br /> Per my request, all locks can now be opened with the same key.  I was surprised by the final cost, but I don't think it was unreasonable.  One door was locked and the key to unlock it had been lost, so there was a charge to pick the lock.  Another door had a cheap lock mechanism that could not be rekeyed to match the others, so that door knob and deadbolt had to be replaced.  $60 for a new doorknob is a little pricey (I bought a similar one at Home Depot for around $25) but I know that the quality was good. <br /> In summary, the work was done promptly and profesionally and I am satisfied. The price was reasonable even though it was more than I anticipated.  I should have asked for an estimate beforehand.  <br /> (Note: In the past my mother was scammed by a locksmith company, and while trying and failing to get her money back I did a lot of research and found that locksmith scams are a major problem.  I was pleased to see on the Sure-fit Security web site that they hold professional certifications and even warn against the danger of scammers.) <br />
