Details of my experience with Sure Shine are below, but this is the summary: I paid in advance for a gutter cleaning in the spring of 2018. The company scheduled three different times and failed to show up all three. It took four months to get my money refunded. Do not hire Sure Shine. *** On 5/31/18, I went through Sure Shine's website and paid in full ($106.18, via PayPal) for gutter cleaning for our home. After a week had passed without anyone contacting me to schedule service, I called and left a message at the number listed on the website. Sure Shine responded by text from the same number I had called, and we set the cleaning for 7/5/18. No one ever showed up. When I texted back to say that no one came, the response was, "There must have been a mix-up...I'll double check on that and get you right back on within the next few days." Five days passed, and I heard nothing. I wrote again and was told the crew would come on 7/16/18. That date came and went, and once again, no one showed up to perform the cleaning service (that had already been paid for in full). I sent a message that evening stating that no one had showed up, again, and asking for my money to be refunded. The response the following morning was, "I will let the owner know once he gets into the office." I called Sure Shine once in August and twice in September, all during their normal business hours. No one ever answered the phone, nor responded to the three messages I left. On 9/19/18, I sent another text. I said that I had left three messages and never received a reply, and asked for my money to be refunded by the end of the week or I would be posting negative reviews on various recommendation sites. The response was thus (errors were in the message): "I have NOT received 3 vm from you. This is the first message ive received since July. We will gladly compleye your cleaning or you can requrst a refund from groupon. They will deduct it from our payments. Not an issue either way. Let me know! Thank you." I replied that I did not purchase through Groupon, but through Sure Shine's own website. I pointed out that the number was texting from was the same one on which I had left the voicemails. I asked again for a refund and never received a reply. I sent another text on 9/24/18, requesting a refund before taking action, and never received a reply. Finally, before typing this review, I called one more time. No one picked up, despite the voice message saying that this was, indeed, during normal business hours. After the review posted, I received a call from Sure Shine’s owner. He apologized, agreed to refund my money, and promised a free gutter cleaning next season. The next day my money was refunded to my account, and I took the review down. Fast forward to May 2019, when I contacted the owner to set up the free cleaning. He had the office contact me, and they scheduled it for May 31. Again, no one showed up. I contacted them a few days later. I received another tepid apology, and a promise that the office would contact me Monday 6/10. I have still not heard from them, so I am re-posting this review. The bottom line: Do not hire Sure Shine Window Cleaning Solutions. They are uncommunicative, irresponsible, disorganized, and if you actually manage to get in touch with them, you cannot rely on them to actually show up for the scheduled work.

Windows were clean

This company has an F rating with the BBB for good reason. They did not clean my window sills even though it was advertised as part of the product I purchased. Although I have made several attempts to contact them to resolve, they never answer the phone or return my calls or texts. Buyer beware!

Great deal on gutter cleaning on a 2-story home w/detached garage. The Father/Son team did a good job and were very kind. We had some trouble with scheduling and follow up initially, but we were able to get it figured out and get it done. Would use again for sure!

They showed up to do the work. I let them know I had to go because my husband was having open heart surgery. They thought I'd used a groupon and I told them no, I'd write them a check which I did $126 for outside only which was cashed. They did nothing I was honest with them and they were not honest with me. THEY DID NOTHING ! The owner said he'd come do them over but never showed. I waited all day ! No one takes the calls, I just called and the phone person hung up on me (I suspect the wife). Don't ever use these people, they lie and they take money they do not earn. Terrible experience. I don't know if I will ever trust Angie's list again. I'll stick with Home Advisor. This has been a rotten experience and I could ill afford to loose my money and now I'm still stuck with dirty windows.

No phone calls only emails. I got no confirmation they were coming over. Nor did I receive any notice that they were here. My kids were home all day and did not see anyone. When I asked how did I know the work was done, I was told the flyers they leave are on back order. (Have a printer?) My gutters continued to overflow. I sent them an email with pictures of the gutters overflowing. No reply. I feel like my money was taken with no work done at all. I would not recommend.
