I wasn't very happy with the design so I didn't go with it. I just didn't like the end result.

I guess you get what you pay for. We used a coupon for a $150 3D kitchen design. The guy that came out was nice enough, but the final product took 3 weeks and several followup calls. When we finally got the drawing, I could only open it by downloading an app on my phone, and couldn't really see anything.
I was disappointed, but like I said, for $150, I should have expected it.
Stuart showed up when he said he would. Went on the roof... came back down - reported what needed to be done. Replaced the rubber thingys that day. all was good. Thank You (Now with that said.. I'm waiting for a really good rain to make sure the leak is fixed but... I'm pretty confident it will be.)
The overall remodel was pretty good. I love the kitchen, and enjoying it too. The contractor himself was very good, very personable, and did a great job. We had one or two concerns with some of the contractors. I did not get top service that I would have expected. I went quite a bit over my budget on the price.

The service turned out very good. They had very good ideas. They were very flexible, and they were able to work within my guidelines, and I really liked that about it. They worked with me as to the cabinet makers, and were willing to work with me once I identified the cabinets I liked. They were able to go out and purchase them for me.

This project was a total removal of the old kitchen and everything replaced. We removed everything in the old kitchen except for taking down the wall between laundry room & pantry. The man that came to remove the wall was slow and did not have the proper removal equipment. We were very glad we had removed everything from the old kitchen. We paid the deposit on 3/31/14 and were advised it would be a 4 to 6 week project once construction started. The timeline was very important to us as during the remodel we had no kitchen or laundry facilities. Once the deposit was paid the cabinets were ordered and on average they take about 2 weeks to arrive. Construction began on 4/1/14. Prior to construction, we were advised that once the cabinets arrived they would verify all the cabinets were correct before installation would start. When the cabinets were installed one cabinet was missing. This resulted in an entire week with no construction taking place. When the missing cabinet did finally arrive, it was damaged. We understand this is not Sustainable fault however, if the cabinets were verified prior to construction; this problem could have been minimized. They use all sub-contractors several were excellent and others were not. Our favorites were Robbie (excellent carpenter) , painters, granite guys, and electricians. The cabinet installers were the worst. They started installing the cabinets got upset about something and walked off the job and never returned. Fortunately, Sustainable sent "Robbie" over and he did an excellent job picking up where the cabinet installers left off, in addition to installing the beautiful backsplash, flooring, and shelving along with making numerous adjustments as needed. Our floor was very unlevel and Robbie did an outstanding job leveling it up and installing the flooring. The granite we selected is beautiful. Sustainable has partnered with a first class granite company in Charlotte. We appreciate the help from Mike & Katie matching the granite, backsplash, and flooring. The granite installers cut and installed the granite to show off it's beauty. They also cut a threshold that Robbie installed between dining room and kitchen that adds beauty to the entryway. We are delighted with our new kitchen. Stuart selected the sink and faucet and they were an excellent choice. Sustainable designed our kitchen layout with the requirements we provided. We are very pleased with the layout however, in the final design we did not have a cabinet for our trash can except for a very small one under the sink. In addition, none of the rev-a-shelves fit above the microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. This was a disappointment. We are really enjoying the new pantry and the spice cabinets. The painters did an excellent job even working on Saturday to accommodate the timeline. We love the recessed lighting and the undercabinet lights.
Response from Sustainable Contractors
"[Member name removed], It was nice to work with you on your kitchen remodel. Sorry for the cabinets not working out the first run, installing the washing machine and dryer into a wall cabinet like we did is typically performed by custom cabinetry makers. The replacement was damaged in shipping, but some things are not within our control. Robbie works with us, the granite shop is a sister company Sustainable Marble and Granite. The cabinet installers have been replaced and Robbie is supervising all the installs now. Perfection is work in progress. Sad you mentioned no on the hire again. Can you post some pictures?"

Update: These people solicited our business to remodel kitchen not for roofing.

The plan provided is very expensive to execute, but we would gladly pay if it would work. Their plan created new problem(s) involved removing load bearing wall. These folks did not even know if the plan is practical, can be done or even remotely how much it would cost. We asked them to come up with a workable plan. After hearing nothing, a few days later, I had some ideas of my own which I wanted to discuss with Mike Corona (the owner of Sustain) before he finished our revised plan. No one at Sustain ever, never ever responded.

Add to their incompetence which is just sad is their deceit. The owners, a husband/wife team were paid to provide hard copy and/or computer rendering of our design. I have left at least three phone or email requests for some evidence that they were even here and did anything, but all I have is a receipt. for their services

"Response to [member name removed] Angie’s List : Actually we were hired to do a 3D kitchen rendering consultation. We stayed there for long period of time to get the facts and measure to get the 3D rendering data. [Member name removed] would not give us a prospective budget or select materials; he said he wanted a plan that solved for the traffic issues with a clean and open slate. During our second meeting we reviewed the 3-D design with him and then he wanted to know how much it was going to be. Since we were specifically directed not to worry about the pricing we did not have a formal estimate prepared. We did however work out a rough order of magnitude budget on the spot. The alternate design that we were asked to explore was not in accordance with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) guidelines for an effective work triangle or work space. We could not professionally recommend or install such a configuration which was also communicated to the client. When we returned with the “rough Plan” we had completed the $100 dollar service. There is an apparent problem with communication with [member name removed] after the review came out we sent him the complete rendering through the message center: [Member name removed] 7/6/2014 We have this on our calendar for Tuesday July 8 @9am. any change, phone 704.544.7278, leave message or 843.693.8888 Sustainable Contractors 8/9/2014 It was nice talking to you. I will have your 3 d plan sent to you Monday. [Member name removed] 8/13/2014 Nice talking to you also, but....still no plan, no communication. What should I believe about Sustainable Contractors? Who in your company holds a General Contractors License? Just curious. Will we ever get what we paid for? More than curious. Sustainable Contractors 8/13/2014 Hi [Member name removed], This is Mike. I did send you the information on Saturday August 9 at 2:25pm. I just resent the same email, Please let me know that you received it. Have a good Evening. Mike Sustainable Contractors 8/13/2014 I am also forwarding the email that addressed the concerns about the alternate design and attached our standard cabinet doors. I sent that to you on 7/23/14 but did not hear back from you at that time. Did you receive it? This is the mail that I have been sending emails to: '[Member email removed]' Please let me know if I did not send them to the correct email address. Mike [Member name removed] 8/14/2014 Please resend a floor plan ONLY. That is what we need first. Before we choose etc. we need a design to improve traffic flow. This can be a two dimensional work product drawn to scale. Thanks, [Member name removed] Sustainable Contractors 8/15/2014 It is in the email that was sent to you in pdf format. Do you have a pdf reader installed on your computer. Mike CC me on the designs sent there should be no confusion. See attachment included. [Member name removed] Plan Elevation and Model.pdf (877KB) Yes, I have PDF reader. No, we have not received a PDF file at all from you. A two dimensional scaled plan showing location of appliances, pantry, cabinets, sink, laundry and eating area is fine. Thank you! [Member name removed] 8/15/2014 Disregard the previous email. The file just came up on my alternate email. Thank you Sustainable Contractors That’s my side of the story!"

It went well as provider went up on the roof, checked all boots and also walked entire roof to check for any hail damage or issues. He advised me there was no hail damage or issues with my roof. Also advised the boots were well in place and were as they should be. Provider also went up into the attic and checked for any water and found everything to be dry and no issues or leaks. I felt reassured all was well with my roof. He also advised me the roof was in very good condition. I appreciated his efforts.

That was a fine experience. It did end up costing us a little more than the Big Deal as they measured our roof more than the Big Deal allowance. It also took them longer than they thought it'd take -- it took all day to do. I had no complaints about their cleanup process.

It was a Big Deal purchase and it was fine. Their pricing was high. I thought we were going to get some kitchen remodeling suggestions but he just kind of threw a bunch of pricing options at us and I ended up doing most of the work myself. He came out for the $75 that I paid but I don't know if we got a lot of value for the $75. He was responsive.

Worked with me to find products that fit the insurance damage estimate very close to what I picked when, of course, picked a top of the line item. Suggested alternatives repairs in places reducing costs to spend on more viable and pleasing fixes. Knew what he was doing and begin project with impression wanted to help me and my family.

Contractor went to purchase the boots and sealant and returned to roof to replace. Took new pictures and showed them to me. Unfortunately approximately 4 months later we noticed 1 of the boots had popped loose. I was then disappointed due to the sealant he used or the way it was applied. The other boots needed resealed as well to be held in place. I put this same review on Angie's List awhile back but it never took and put it in the system.

Response from Sustainable Contractors
"I went back to check my work that I personally did and it was good, the neighbor put some caulk on the pipe boot that typically does not need any caulk but it shouldn't hurt anything. There were no leaks found in the attic everything was tight and dry."
