"Hello, Member, We’re sorry you are disappointed. We promised you a landscape design and we delivered on that promise, even though the size of your yard exceeded the square footage in our design offer by more than 700 square feet. We also provided you with not one, but two designs, based on your changes. You admitted that you weren’t really sure of what you wanted and didn’t have a proper survey to determine property lines, so that made our job a bit more difficult too. Almost a month after we sent you your design, you finally got back to us with more of your input. We’re not sure where things between us went south, but your project is well above our minimum and we’d have been happy to have your business. Sincerely, The Team at Terrascapes P.S. We've posted an email exchange we had regarding this issue so that our readers can see our side of the story. -----Original Message----- From: Sent: Saturday, September 01, 2012 1:01 PM To: Subject: Re: pdf design I forgot to attatch it here it is. "Hello, Member, It is interesting to us that you believe that you’re the reason your patio turned out so well. We are hold several hardscape installation credentials that most other contractors in the metro area do not. Our installers have passed a number of industry courses related to the little-known but critical art of “polymeric sand installation.” The lead installer on your project has 12 years of experience installing paver patios and is our also our company’s in-house expert and a trainer. Our designer (project manager) was on-site at least once every single day for the duration of your entire project. We must admit – your project was challenging. While we’re the ones you chose to do your work because of our expertise in hardscaping, you seemed to believe that you had a higher level of knowledge about the subject than we do. You even accused us of using something other than true “road base” on your project because it was tan in color (our standard for all projects) instead of the grey with which you were familiar. When we offered to show you the receipt from our vendor to prove that we were using true road base, you refused to look at it! Regardless, we removed all of your “tan” road base and replaced it with grey at no charge to you. Your need for control drove you and your wife to literally hide behind your curtains and take pictures of our crew all day long. As you can imagine, that was uncomfortable for us, but we understand that a very small percentage of people are just wired that way. Although you chose to micromanage us every step of the way, don’t be fooled. Your patio is a success because of our commitment to quality and because of the expertise of our project manager and crew. As a frame of reference, you can ask our more than 600 other customers who have loved our patios and didn’t have to micromanage us to get the same great results. Either way, we’re glad you love your patio like all the rest of our customers do. Sincerely, The Team at Terrascapes"
