SW Construction is a licensed Michigan residential builder specializing in premium home remodeling and custom builds in Oakland and Livingston counties. Owner Steve Wyklidge is on every job, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. We take on projects that transform homes: complete kitchen remodels, full bathroom renovations, basement finishing, room additions, second story additions, custom decks, and whole-home renovations. We also handle insurance restoration, aging-in-place modifications, and commercial buildouts. Our projects typically start at $25,000 and up. If you're looking for someone to swap a faucet or patch drywall, we're probably not the right fit. But if you're ready for a real transformation, we'd like to hear about it. Licensed and insured. Major Renovation Multiple Room Service

Steve and his team did an excellent job on our basement remodel, and we would absolutely hire them again. From the start, Steve was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. He helped us navigate a complicated insurance process with patience and clear explanations, which made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Once that was handled, Steve worked closely with us on the design and layout, making sure the space actually fit how we live. He didn’t push generic solutions and paid close attention to the details throughout the build. Communication was consistent, follow-through was strong, and nothing was left unfinished. What sets Steve apart is his enthusiasm for custom work. He combines creative design ideas with practical construction experience, which made a big difference when solving layout challenges and building custom features. The finished basement is now one of our favorite spaces in the house. We recommend Steve without hesitation for work big and small!
