All the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Want to thank Joe, Ed and Oscar for their hard and meticulous work and Reed for coordinating everything to help the job get done in a timely manner. The pool looks wonderful and could not be happier.

If I could give this place ZERO STARS. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They came to fix our pool and broke a clamp that attaches to my filter. When I followed up with them regarding the fact that they broke this, they claimed it was already broken and it was not their fault even though the guys who came to my house had no idea what they were doing. They expect me to go on Amazon and buy my own clamp to fix something they broke. I have to get another pool company to come in and pay more money. TRAIN YOUR WORKERS. This place is Sxxx.

⚠️ Read before deciding to go with this company! ⚠️ I regret ignoring the negative reviews when I chose Sweeney’s to install my pool. They damaged my property, have taken no accountability and have chosen a vindictive approach to the matter. I urge you to read my experience, and the other negative reviews posted, and think about whether you can trust them to work at your home. They excavated my yard at the end of November 2024 during heavy rain, then left the ground unbackfilled for 12 days. This left my concrete stairs unsupported, with the footing exposed (see photos) and the stairs became detached from my patio. When I contacted Sweeney’s with photos, they relied on their mason affiliate, Devin of Flawless Masonry, who stated the stairs were improperly constructed. THEY DID NOT ASSESS THE SITUATION IN PERSON, NOT THEN OR EVER! I spoke with Devin prior to excavation and he assured me that the stairs were ok and they would not need additional support, I have the text message proof. I never heard from Ken Sweeney directly; however, communication with Reed Communiello, the project manager, on behalf of Sweeney’s has been extremely disheartening. An agreement was discussed where Devin would resolve the situation at cost, at our expense. I received an email from Sweeney's attorney, which included a non-disparagement clause. I agreed to not speak about the issue with the stairs but I felt it left me without recourse should the remaining work not be completed satisfactorily. I agreed to the terms however, Sweeney’s contacted the Town of Hempstead inquiring whether my patio and staircase were built without permits, which unbeknownst to us they were (built prior to 1996; purchased the home in 2018). Sweeney’s rescinding the agreement. They think a homeowner does not have rights when structures are not permitted but that is not the case. My real estate attorney attempted to reach out to them through their attorney, but to no avail. I attempted to retrieve liability insurance. They submitted the only insurance required by the ToH, worker’s compensation, under a different company, JAS Aquatics. They also changed the Contractor Information Form listing the contractor as JAS Aquatics. When I questioned this, I was told “The entities doing the work are valid with the insurance submitted.” I am unsure if Sweeney’s does hold liability insurance or not. I hired a civil and structural engineer. The engineer's report confirmed that the structures were built properly, despite lacking permits. He noted that Sweeney’s was negligent for not supporting the stairs while leaving the footing exposed for 12 days, in which 6 of those days it rained. Sweeney’s dismissed the report—again, without ever coming to assess the situation in person. I am left with no choice but to demolish and rebuild the stairs myself. Due to their spiteful actions of reporting me to the ToH, I now need to have plans drawn up to obtain permits for my patio, stairs and enclosed entryway before any further work can be done. This not only delays the process, it escalates cost. My property has been left in disarray for over a month. I paid in full for the excavation process, yet my deep end is still not dug out. My gate has been disassembled and left that way, my existing pavers were destroyed during the excavation, and my back fence became uneven due to being left without backfill for 20 days. I had to request for them to come back to do the backfill so the fence didn’t collapse. There is also a pile of boxes on my driveway—some empty and others filled with equipment. If this review helps even one person avoid a similar experience, it will be worth it. The stairs existed for at least 30 years without any issue and only detached once Sweeney’s left the exposed concrete footing unsupported for 12 days in the rain. My situation may be unique, but the lack of accountability from Sweeney’s is not, as you can see from other reviews. You do not want to find yourself on the wrong side of Sweeney’s, because once you do they will treat you with utter disregard. Choose wisely!

This is the first time I used Sweeny's Pool Service to close my pool. The technicians were right on time and provided quality service (chemicals, blowing the lines, disconnecting the equipment and putting everything into the shed). A+ service from booking to close. Highly recommended.

Have used Sweeney pools on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. They are professional on the phone, setting up appointments and when they are at the site. Just had a major leak in a return line. Came the next day, literally only a few hours of down time. If you have a pool problem, you would be making a huge mistake not going with Sweeney's.

They go above and beyond. The process was seamless, no pun intended. They notice my pump was faulty and offered to fix that as well post the salt conversion. Highly recommended.

I contacted my regular pool company and they essentially told me to cross my fingers and hope the pool doesn’t collapse and i’d have to wait until the spring. I then did some research on google and local Facebook groups and contacted Sweeneys Pools after reading lots of positive feedback. I Called and Spoke to Nick who was beyond helpful and reassuring he could help me ASAP. We had a break in the weather approaching and Nick made sure to rush everything without cutting any corners and not missing any details. The technician Irwin was extremely knowledgeable and did an amazing job. He explained everything that was being done and was very thorough and clean. I just redid the pavers around the pool so i also had Sweeneys and Irwin do the loop-Loc cover as well. I could not be any happier with their services and prices. The whole process was pleasant and stress free from beginning to end. Highly Recommend!!

From start to finish, I was satisfied with the service I received from Sweenys. My pool wasnâ  t opened for a full year so of course it was going to be a mess with the cover I had on it. I had the pool opened in October, they came did a thorough vacuum job a few times, along with maintaining it with shock and chemicals. Any questions or concerns I would call and they would answer immediately. If I wasnâ  t satisfied with some thing they took care of the problem. I purchased a new cover as well and I canâ  t believe what a smooth transition that was. The new cover looks great and I was excited to see my pool looking as good as it did before the cover went right back on. My pool does not get used as often as it did years ago as kids grow up and move out but I will say when the old cover was off and the pool was clean for just a week it kind of made me want to say I think will open up the pool next spring and summer Thank you Sweeneys for a job well done and talking me through each procedure that you performed on my pool. Looking forward to doing business with you in the near future

EXCELLENT. We decided to change pool company due to poor customer service.....It's been quite different with Sweeney's. So far we purchased a new pool heater ( with installation ) and they winterized our pool. We are very happy with them, they are very professional and their work is of high quality. They return phone calls and show up on time, we will continue to be their customer

We decided to change pool companies due to poor customer service. We decided to try Sweeney's. We are extremely happy with their professionalism. We spent about $5,800 on a new pool heater installed and winterization. We will continue to be their customer going forward !

Sweeney's installed a loop loc cover for me and closed my pool. They did a great job and I'll be using them again.

The team are very knowledgable and happy to always answer any questions. The contractors were all friendly, professional and diligent. We were swimming in our pool exactly 30 days from the start of the dig. My advice would be to make sure and measure your space and outline your pool a few times. Imagine running around it. Our permit made us decrease the size of the pool and it worked out perfectly! Could not be happier. So measure and measure again ! I would use Sweeney's again.

I had Sweeneys install a new pool liner on my in ground pool, it was done on time and budget. The work was impeccable they also do my weekly cleaning, and we are always satisfied with the work done and the guys donâ t rush they just do a great job. The entire team at Sweeneys performed at a high level. The skillset and professionalism exhibited during the entire process was flawless! Ken Sweeney owner of Sweeneys pool delivered as promised and was completely honest throughout the process. Ken and his team pride themselves for meeting deliverable dates and ensuring customers are 100% satisfied with the work done. My entire family is extremely happy with the end result and look forward to enjoying our new pool liner, salt system and awesome lighting provided by our new LED system.
