Judy Sweetland educated us on all of our options when we suddenly had to replace a leaking gas hot water heater. She priced and explained the pricing and installation requirements on different options-tankless, high efficiency and standard models. Judy also checked to see if there were any current rebates available. All of this research and install was done within a day. We appreciated the fast service since we were without hot water, and we felt confident in our decision. The technicians wore masks and disinfected everything that they touched, due to Coronavirus, They were professional and knowledgeable. We are likely to use them for other projects. Judy also honored a $350 online coupon. Thank you, Sweetland's, for a job well done!

For the last two years, I have signed a yearly contract with Sweetlands to do a twice-a-year check on my heating and air-conditioning service as well as On-Demand Gas Water Heater.....fall check before I use my heating system and spring check before I use my AC system. Each time, the service associate has been on time, courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable when answering any questions I may have. I've even had Judy show up to perform the bi-annual check once! As I mentioned previously, I had a bad experience with another company that led to me switching to Sweetlands. On the first check done with Sweetlands, the service representative found a flaw in the previous company's work that could have resulted in a dangerous event and was definitely costing me more money from an operational standpoint. So, the switch to Sweetlands literally paid for itself with my first visit! I definitely believe that Sweetlands is a great local business, and I intend to continue my association with them in the coming years. My annual maintenance contract covering twice yearly cleaning, maintenance and check of all three of my units (Heating, AC, and On-Demand Gas Water Heater) is $374/year.

I am so impressed with Sweetland's Heating and Cooling! They have done a lot of work here, and I highly recommend them. The owner Judy is wonderful to work with. She is knowledgeable, professional, and the customer service is top notch. Any time I have had an issue, it was addressed very quickly, Judy even came to fix a minor issue on a Saturday as soon as I called her. We have a yearly maintenance agreement with them, and the service technicians are wonderful too! Very respectful and professional, and they explain any issues that they find thoroughly. Carol is great, she makes scheduling the yearly maintenance visits a breeze! We got 3 other estimates in addition to Sweetland's when we needed to have our system and ductwork replaced, and we are grateful to have Sweetland's Heating and Cooling on our home maintenance team!

I had a wonderful experience with Sweetland's Heating and Cooling. Judy came out and assessed my unit found it was too small for home, I needed more floor registers in some rooms, there was a freon leak and other things. We decided to replace my unit with a properly sized unit and more efficient unit. The install crew was prompt, professional and cleaned up when they completed the job. I still use them to keep my unit running efficiently and properly with their maintenance agreement. I have and will continue to recommend them to everyone.

Sweetland's sent Andre out right away and he got down to business promptly. He identified the problem and fixed the unit within an hour. Sweetland Heating and Cooling has been punctual, reliable, and affordable. I have utmost confidence in them, have used them several times and they will be the first people I call when my systems need repair or replacement. Sweetlands is by far the best HVAC company in the Hampton Roads area. They are prompt and professional and very trust worthy. I have been using them for 16 years since moving back to the area and I have highly recommended them to many other friends who have in turn recommended them as well. They stay current on the latest equipment and use this to test your system so that they know exactly whether your system is heating or cooling correctly and then they will let you know exactly what these readings are so that you can trust what they are telling you. They do yearly maintenance on my system and keep everything running smoothly.

It went very well. Repair was completed in a timely and professional manner. Ms. Sweetland even checked to see if my unit was still under warranty (it was - barely) to save money on parts. My unit had been repaired two other times by different companies and neither one of them looked into my warranty. I highly recommend Sweetland's Heating and Cooling.

The project went extremely well. Judy Sweetland, owner of Sweetland’s Heating and Air Conditioning, spent many hours with me prior to the installation. She performed a number of calculations to ensure I would be getting the correct size unit for the space I was cooling. She found problems with the original installation that needed to be corrected before the new unit could be installed. I was very appreciative that she took the time to explain everything she was going to do. The installers were prompt, professional. and friendly. They worked very diligently in hot conditions in my attic. Even Judy spent time in the attic correcting the original installer’s mistakes. She wanted to ensure that everything was up to code. The installers took great care to protect my property. Every time they came inside, they wore protective booties. They protected my carpet and bamboo floors. They were the neatest workers I have ever experienced. This company went above and beyond to provide a very high level of service. They treated me the way they would want to be treated.

AC was ok, but the cut-off breaker was shot. I called ahead and told the tech to bring a new box as I had already opened it up and had a feeling that that is where the problem was. Even though I had already taken the time to remove the cover from the cut-off box and the access panel from A/C unit, the work was very slow and was charged full schedule price for the tasks performed. I thought that the price was high. I had a different tech on a previous occasion who was faster and cheaper. Maybe it was extra for a Saturday?

Couple of things I want [Member Information Removed] respond [Member Information Removed] as I remember it differently than you [Member Information Removed]: We did [Member Information Removed] charge you more for coming out on a Saturday, in fact we came out under our regular service pricing as you had just started a new job and really couldn't [Member Information Removed] miss work, so we agreed [Member Information Removed] come out under regular pricing due [Member Information Removed] your special circumstance. Please remember aside from replacing your outdoor disconnect, I also installed a common wire for your new thermostat (there was no common wire available in the package unit) so you could use the FAN Auto/On feature of the thermostat and I removed the old t/stat and installed and completed the installed set up for the new wi-fi thermostat. Hope this better explains the invoice. Please remember [Member Information Removed] have the gas pack heat exchanger health checked via a Flue gas carbon monoxide (co) combustion analyzer. Co is deadly, and cannot be seen, and has no odor. Have a safe and warm winter, Judy Sweetland"

Took more than one trip to my house. The first trip, they said the cause was the NEST thermostat. A month later, we were still having the same issue. When I called to discuss it, they said it might be the duct work. The tech came out to inspect the duct work, I talked to him and he said he didn't think it was the duct work. He too blamed the NEST thermostat. He added in one drain pipe for the AC unit but never inspected the duct work. I received a bill for $249 for duct work inspection a week later. I paid it but will be looking for a different company in the future.

WOW! These guys are awesome! I am absolutely astonished at the amount of professionalism and pride Sweetland's takes in their work! I first called them because our indoor heating unit was making a loud noise. Sweetland's showed up the same day, stayed for over 2 hours and only billed me $80. They were so comprehensive and thoroughly evaluated our entire system. They were not pushy and gave us all of our options about how to fix our unit (which unfortunately, had to be replaced). Later, we were contacted by the owner and spent over and hour on the phone discussing all of our options about replacing our system and the different types of makes/ models of AC units. They were extremely informative and answered any and all questions that I had. They were even so sensitive to the fact that we wouldn't have heat that they offered to provide us with space heaters free of charge! Sweetland's spent the next two days installing our heat/ AC unit and ripping out all of our old stuff. They made sure that the job was done right and did a phenomenal job! A week later, they were even courteous enough to follow up with us to ensure everything was working to our satisfaction! I will only call Sweetland's for my heating/ AC needs from now on! By far, they are one of the most honest businesses in heating/ AC industry! <br />

My A/C unit went out about 1 AM, I called Sweetlands at 8:00 AM and Judy was at my door at 9:30 AM. This was pretty amazing since it was one of the hottest days of the year. She was professional and very polite. After a quick look, she found the problem. Every aspect of the work she performed was explained in detail. The damaged part was available immediately from her truck. There were a few other smaller issues that she noticed that I could fix myself, but she went to great lengths to make sure that I understood the way to do them. All in all, a great experience. If I ever need heating and cooling help again, I will call Judy. I still can't believe how fast she responded. <br />

<p>Great service. They managed to fit me in the next day when my home warranty providers were a week out. They called when they were on the way and were on time. The tech (Sean) found my issue quickly and even spent the extra time on the phone speaking with my home warranty company about the repair and costs so I could be reimbursed for the charges. He even wore booties in the house.</p> <p>Very professional and friendly service. Judy, the owner, answered my inquiry (via Angie's List) promptly, scheduled a time to come out to give an estimate, and arrived on-time. I had requested quotes from four other companies, and send a copy of the installation manual for my mini-split to each company - she was the only one of the five people who actually prepared ahead of time for the inspection by reviewing the manual before she came onsite - this thoroughly impressed me! She did a thorough inspection of the installation site, answered my questions in a very helpful manner, and provided her quote shortly after leaving. Her professionalism inspired confidence that her crew would do a great job, and they did not disappoint. The installation took a bit longer than they expected, but it was completed in a reasonable amount of time, and the system is humming along nicely. I will definitely use them again for my future HVAC needs! <br />
