Ok yeah, that was the one that we purchased and yeah we weren't happy with that. They were late. They showed up with a shorter truck than what we had reserved. They worked slow but we didn't harp on up too much about that. After they loaded everything up they insisted on driving separately, they were gonna stop to pick up something to eat or drink, refreshments I don't know. And ended up taking the wrong way to get to our house so they took longer than they were supposed to. It took about a hour and a half to two hours to get to where they were going when it should have taken about an hour, so it was frustrating from all around. The stuff that they were loading up into the new house they dinged up a couple of walls, not a huge deal cause there were already a couple of dings from the previous owners.

The movers themselves were excellent- very professional hard workers.  The job took longer than expected ,,, was supposed to me a deal for 3 man crew...price somewhere around $200 or $300.  Throughout the move, the crew was very pleasant and very accommodating. The problem is that I was overcharged. The manager overcharged me for the number of miles.  I had several sources to prove that the number of miles were less than the number of miles for which I was charged . I called the company at least four or five times... asking them review the number of miles and to adjust the price accordingly.  The receptionist would intervene...repeatedly  tell me that the manager would call me back... he was never there or either he was busy. I suppose he felt that I would get tired of calling and would not follow through.  I ended up doing just that, however, writing this review has caused me to want to take up the matter again.  I plan to do just that.  NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY; THE MANAGER HAS BEEN DISHONEST AND UNTRUTHFUL! <br />

Getting a hold of the provider took some time. There was no answer to the phone numbers and had to wait over 24 hours for a response to my voicemail message after purchasing my service on Angie's List. On the day of the requested service, the mover's arrived within the allotted.  They called first to let me know they were fifteen out. I had a friend greet them and handle the move as I had multiple service appointments across town on the same day. They called to let me know that the service requested was going to take more time then initial assessed and, therefore, would be more more expensive. There was a small confusion on this issue that required them to call management. After clearing up that it was permissible for them to stay longer to complete the service, they continued. It took two round trips as I forgot to include an outdoor dining set in my initial assessment of things to be moved. They were kind, courteous, took apart furniture that was too large to move, and were generally careful with all of my things. No damage has been assessed with the move yet. Considering it was nearly freezing the day of the move, they were overwhelmingly pleasant to work with. The move took three movers and five hours. It was a local move (less than 1 mile between origin and destination). <br />

First, they haven't charged me for fuel surcharge, but I was informed that I needed to pay $98.00 fuel surcharge. I asked where was it stated I was told on the coupon which it wasn't. When the drivers arrived, one or two of them had odor smell. I informed them of the things that I wanted to make sure care was applied (entertainment center and TVs). They damage the entertainment center. When I called the manager, he said that they would pickup the furniture, have it repaired and return. It stated that it would be around January 4 before the items are return. I called after January 4 and was informed that it would be about 2 weeks. So, I am asking for a FULL refund of the cost and no further charge be applied (fuel) and I hope I get my furniture back. Now, the manager seems professional about getting the items repaired, but he kept mention about the fuel surcharge. I would think that he wouldn't charge additional $ due to the fact I do not have my furniture and they caused the damage. I have moved with the military and furniture usually do not need to be pickup for small chips and scratches.

Our window for the provider's arrival was between 9 and 10 AM. They arrive right around 10 and promptly got to work. When I scheduled the appointment, I had requested that they bring shrink wrap to protect my furniture which they agreed they could do and advised me that it would cost an additional $35 and I advised them that would be fine. They ended up forgetting the shrink wrap so none of my furniture ended up being protected as promised. This was disappointing but not necessarily a deal breaker. We had rain in the forecast so they worked efficiently to get the truck loaded and on the way to the new house. We were on our way to the new house after the guys had left in the truck and we ended up passing them. The truck had been pulled over by the police and the drive had actually been taken to jail because his DOT card was expired so he was not authorized to operate a commercial vehicle. The other two guys on the crew weren't certified to operate the truck so they were stranded on the side of the road. I called the owner after this to complain about this oversight. I was unsure how this was something that could be missed. The owner let me know that he would try to find someone to come drive the truck and would get back to me. Luckily for us, my husband is a retried transit worker and still had a valid DOT card and was licensed to operate the vehicle as he also has his CDL. The two remaining movers called the owner and asked if it would be ok for my husband to drive them to the new house, which he agreed to given my husbands qualification. This delay cost us an hour and a half which caused the remaining movers to have to move the furniture into the new house in the rain. Also, because they had initially forgotten the shrink wrap my furniture got wet from the rain. Outside of the wetness, no other damage was caused and the rest of the move went fairly smoothly though the two movers were obviously agitated by the situation. After the movers left, I called the owner again and ended up leaving a message. I called again three more times today and was informed that the owner was out on a job each time I called. I have given them a lot of notice about my frustration and have decided to pursue the Angie's List Complaint Resolution Process.

"The customer purchased a discount coupon for a move .We schedule the move and arrived on time to perform the move .The crew protected the customers furniture with furniture pads and loaded the furniture into the truck and proceeded to customers location ,while on route to the location the truck was pulled over for a routine inspection which caused a slight delay and after the furniture was offloaded into the destination address and placed exactly where the customer desired .The move went over the minimum hours and the customer was not charged extra .The crew did not damage any furniture .The customer also signed all paperwork indicating she was satisfied with the move .. It was a mixed bag, but the bottom line is that Swiftway Services got the job done for us.  We used them to move a significant amount of furniture (a 3 BR house's work) from a storage unit to our new home.  The price was excellent, and I paid up front.  Communication was poor, and when the guys showed up several hours late - ostensibly because they couldn't locate the address of the storage unit from which we were moving -  I was furious.  However, the guys eventually did arrive, and they were total pros.  They moved quickly, efficiently, and were very, very careful.  They completed our move in less time than originally estimated, were polite and friendly, and totally turned my initial opinion around.  We would use them again. <br />

I wasn't that happy with them. They broke one of my items. I guess, I should have done a better job in terms of seeing if they were insurance covered, which, I don't think that they were. And then, I gave them the information for my credit card when I initially had signed up because that is what they asked. Then the administrator lost the information, I think. So, I then played phone tag with her to give her the information because when she called back to say that she had lost it, I wasn't in a position where I had my credit card that I used available to give it to her. So, I never was able to get in contact with her again. So the amount that I had paid was the initial amount for the time and distance that was part of the initial offering. But then, somehow they had tacked on an additional $100 and I'm not sure where that fee came from. So, now I'm in a battle with them back and forth for the tip that I had approved that she didn't have the credit card information because she had lost it to put on the card and then also the extra $100 that they had tacked on for the fee. I think the initial offer was $360 and I think it was for three hours of moving. They were just within the three hours. I think they came at 10:45 and they were done at 1:30. But then there was an additional $100 and I don't know if it was for the distance. I'm not really sure what that was for. So it's something that I'm in the process of trying to vet out to see what the problem was and then the other thing is that they broke a mirror that I had. They said that it was wobbly and then they picked it up by the wobbly part and then the wood broke off of the mirror. So, it's not something that can't be fixed. I can fix it. But, I would just think, with the mirror, just in general, you would make some effort to kind of be more careful with it, whether it was in a frame that you felt was wobbly or not, which really wasn't the case. So, to say the least, I wasn't happy with them at all. They were within the window of when they said they were going to be there. They were flexible in terms of scheduling the move. They were available pretty quickly. There was not a lot of protection for the stuff that they were moving.

It was a great experience. They finished with in the 4 hours of the Big Deal purchase. They were polite, punctual and accurate with move. They put things were I wanted them. I was pleased with the service and I would recommend them.
