About us

Formally CS Construction LLC. Switzer Construction's philosophy was inspired by the ethics of owner Cory Smith's late grandfather, architect Les Switzer. Les instilled in Cory an emphasis on attention to detail and building relationships with customers that Cory uses to create the quality and affordability Switzer is known for today. Cory often says his goal is to make his customers happy and ensure they get what they want, oftentimes when they think they can't afford it. Cory is known to have multiple face to face meetings with clients during the project to ensure communication is clear and both parties are on the same page.

The new roof was installed in the fall of 2012. The old bathroom was gutted. My friend's illness prevented further renovation at the time. Many months later, I tried to contact Cory Smith to complete the bathroom. There has been no reply, either by phone or email. A complaint to the Better Business Bureau has garnered no assistance.
They showed up and did the take down of the sheetrock and walls, framed in for the new walls and replaced the sheetrock on the ceiling and "part" of the new walls. They did run into some snags with the electrical and the team were great at trying to make everything work. They did have to take down some additional sheetrock on another ceiling to try to find the root of an electrical problem and I had to have the company that installed my A/C come and do a little work. After that they did not show up to finish the work that I was supposed to have done. They were to come the next day to remove the trash and start with the finishing, after a week my son came and helped me to take the debris to the dump, my husband and I had to hang the sheetrock on the wall where the thermostat is installed and I have contracted with another company to do the mudding, taping and finishing on the ceilings and walls. I have tried several times to call and left messages but have heard nothing back in over three weeks. I have to say that the team that came to my house were the nicest guys and tried very hard to do all the work and were very good at keeping everything cleaned up, I just wish that someone had come back and finished what they started.
I was very happy with the whole process from estimating through completion of the project. I even had to deal with the sudden death of my mother in the middle of the project and thankfully did not have to deal with any issues with the project. What a relief! I would highly recommend Switzer Construction and plan to do more projects with them in the future.

Overall experience was very good. I was out of town when the job was done but had my wife present for the work. Upon my return I went to the house to find that some of the texture was still on the walls and had not been scrapped off. My wife told me that she said it was not a big deal since it was late in the evening when they were finishing up, and she said that we would do it ourselves. I had some concerns with this since it can be a project to remove texture from walls when it is dry. I called Cory at Switzer Construction and he was over in a matter of an hour with another gentlemen to help remove the texture and make the situation right. His attention fully exceeded my expectations.
