"We are not really sure how to respond to this review at first we were angry that you said we charged you 157 for a 35 dollar part then we saw that you gave us all A's except for price as we looked over your review we realized that other than you saying you wouldnt hire us again everything looks ok. so lets review you called us for a job that you couldnt do yourself & told us you havent used the bathrm for over 2 yrs because you had a bathrm on the 1st flr. when you called us for service we told you it was a $125 diagnostic fee which you agreed to. We didnt have the part on the truck went to the supply house picked up the part came back & installed it this took a total of an 1.5 hrs we didnt charge you any extra then the diagnostic & the part. So to wrap this up we have to say thank you for this awesome review!"

Removed the part and never called me back. When I called him 2 weeks later he said he could no longer locate that part; was no longer in stock. When I asked to have it returned he never replied. I called again 2 weeks later and asked but he never returned it. When I called again some 6 weeks later he said he was not in the area but he would send it to me.  that was more than 3 weeks ago and I have not heard anything from him.  He never answers the calls or returns calls.   <br /> He has no idea of customer service and didn't appear  knowledgeable about  getting the part out of the machine. On his business card he claims to be an air conditioner expert.  Maybe so, but he knows little of other appliances. <br />

"I am complete shocked & amazed Mrs [Member Name Removed]. Yes we did come to your house & diagnosed the problem that the main controller is defective for you 40yr old washer we said it would be slim Pickens tk find this part anywhere except for maybe surplus material you told us please try that we didn't want to buy a new washer Rob our supervisor researched the part for you everywhere he could he also called & spoke to you letting you know that it was not looking good about a 1-1/2 weeks later. he also posted on an online forum for obsolete equipment. When he got info that he may have found your part he called to let you know to cross your fingers & that he was waiting for an email back w pics & part #s to see if it would work for you. I know we called you & let know that this part is not possible to get it is completely discontinued we are sorry but there was nothing we could do. That you would have to buy a new washer. Rob also asked you to pick a model online & we would pick it up & deliver & install it for you. Because you had a difficult basement stairs to get te unit down thru we haven't heard back from you in over a month now ' we get this MAJOR NEGATIVE REVIEW that we didn't deserve but that's ok. Onward & upward we will go. It would be great if we could rate customers the way we get rated on these reviews"

"Good morning Mrs [Member Name Removed] we are sorry that you didn't qualify for the deal do to the original plumbers set up the conditions in your basement. We had to drill out the chimney w a 4.25" core bit do to code regulation the new water heats cannot accept a 2 or 3" flue pipe anymore it has to be a minimum of 4" flue pipe going thru the chimney These older exhaust pipe restricted air flow ' & would create a condition of carbon monoxide coming back into the home creating a life hazard. We are happy that you are happy w the finished product."

Two men who came were thorough neat and polite. Came to check out the problem, explained what had to be done, left to pick up a part & returned in a reasonable amount of time to complete the job. <br />

"this was a tuff one! a levit house w the sewer line completely cracked below the concrete was able to adapt new drain line to the old & secure the floor flange down & reset the toilet properly & stable so it will not rock anymore! this could have been really expensive aprox $1800 to $2200 to chop up the concrete & make repairs & pour new concrete"

AC unit stopped working so Rob came in for emergency repair which i appreciate but  I did not like the fact he came 25 minutes earlier than time agreed upon ( + starting the labor charge clock ) while i was in a very important meeting (and I did stressed to rob that morning when i am not availble after the meeting ending time. ) <br /> He asked for a check payment and told us to trust him and that he will send us a details invoice instead of willing to explain the charges on the spot upon asking.  We realized that we were over- charged 1.5 hour of labor when we got the invoice and spoke with offices staff ; but was told we MUST speak with Rob himeslf; since then we had contacted his office several times over weeks . but they failed to give any responses... My last two attempts was speaking with Rob directly @ 7/24/15 and he wanted to hang up the call as quickly as possible when he realized i was disputing hourly labor charges.  He told me that he will call me RIGHT BACK in 15 minutes after he checked the office record but never did.  I Left my last voice massage 7/31/15 requesting a call back otherwise I have to follow angie list rules and report a F rating according.  But NO CALL still.  <br /> I hate giving any business F rating but they are just unresponsive and leave me no choices.. Rob does not return calls and staffs claimed they have nothing to do with it. I wish Taco to  change and be clear of the way you charge and be responsive when there is a problem. <br /> <br /> <em><strong>REBUTTAL TO COMPANY RESPONSE</strong>: <br /> <br /> With all due respect, why is it being brought to my attention NOW (over 3 months later) that a electrolytic control was installed and they didn?t inform me?  Especially consider that I, and my office manager had contacted them several times? giving them numerous opportunities to inform us of that installation. during these conversation,  They (Maureen) had agreed that we had been over charged for at least 1 hour for service. Your counter offer does not meet my expectations. The only compromised decision that I can agree to is a refund of 125.00 - in terms of - they "forgot" to charge me for an extra part and the only notification that I have received of this mistake is by angielist telling me, than something doesn?t seem right.  I am being reasonable, i asking taco to do the same.<br /> </em> <br />

"its a shame that this could not be resolved it was 95 degrees out & we showed up early sitting in their parking lot eating lunch we did not go in we did not interrupt your meeting (which turned out to be your staff sitting around eating lunch together) you office mngr came out & got us to stop eating & to come in right away & get started on fixing the ac system. you asked taco to review your invoice for an over charge. which we did determine that you where over charged for 1 hr we also determine that you where not charged for a part that you new we used because Rob showed you the old one & left it w the office mgr we offered you refund as well but you denied it . then you trashed us on angies list. thats ok though, the cream rises to the top! & your refund is still available any time you want please pick up the phone & contact us & Rob our supervisor will drive out to your office & hand it to you personally! on top of that your ac has been working fine this whole time this has happen & you still have your warranty for the work performed Thank you & have a great day"

"{Member name removed} yes we came out & diagnosed your problem to be a defective defrost termination control (1 part only) & yes we ordered your correct part. Your generation of fridge has a special harness. the distributor sent the wrong part & we knew this from our diagnostic. we sent back the part & had them ship it out over night (at our cost) so we could expedit this repair for you. TACO called your home phone multiple times over this event to keep you informed of the situation we cancelled the appointment w you do to the incorrect part. after arrival of the new part we tried contacting for 4 days in a row on your home phone leaving message after message w no return phone call we also tried calling your daughters cell phone multiple times but could not leave a message because the voicemail was full! after 3 weeks i tried to call your house again & then you picked up the phone & finally gave us an answer that you didnt need us anymore that you had another company come in and replace the part & you mentioned nothing of a door gasket to us & if you had we would have refunded your diagnostic fee if we made a mistake or wrong diagnostic we are more than fair w customers & always try to do the right thing! so please give us a call anytime & we would be happy to refund your money"

Came home from vacation and found a pipe had burst in our kitchen floor. Basement was a mess. I found Taco on Angies List and called Rob and he told me that he would be over in an hour. I called him at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, hence the higher price. To Robs credit before he came over he told me that if i could shut off the valve and localize the problem he could come on Monday at a lower hourly rate. Since there was no valve to do this I asked him to come over asap. He did a great job assesing the situation finding the leak and capping the pipe. <br />

They were the only people who would come out the same day to fix our heating. Everybody else we called gave us appointments for Monday & Tuesday. Rob got the job done. He was polite, fast, & sounded like he new what he was talking about. Thanks for coming out on a Friday night to give us heat!

Was prompt with a response and showed up the next day.  Took two days for him to find a replacement motor fan needed to get the heat back up and running.  Charged me over $1,200 for the labor + parts which was egregious but I needed to get the heat back on.   Was professional and seemed to know what they were doing, but knew I was in a bad spot and feel like he took advantage. <br />

They came out yesterday and I was under the impression that they would be coming for a free estimate. Two men came and showed me the problem and gave me suggestions for how to fix the issue. One guy told me that they just needed to replace a tiny part, but then the other guy that looked at it told me that the repair would be $625.00. They charged me $92.00, which I wasn’t prepared for, for a service call even though they just discussed the repairs with me.

WHEN WE ARRIVED TO LOOK UNDER THE SINK WE CLEARED OUT ALL THE POTS PANS WE THEN DETERMINED THAT YOU HAVE THE MAIN LEAK COMING FROM THE FAUCET & THAT THE DRAIN LINE WASN'T LEAKING BUT IS CORRODED DO TO THE FAUCET LEAKING. ROB OUR SUPERVISOR EXPLAINED THAT THE FAUCET WAS NOT WORTH REPAIRING DO TO THE AGE (LATE 80'S EARLY 90'S MODEL) OF THE FAUCET. ROB QUOTED YOU A PRICE TO REPLACE THE FAUCET & EXPLAINED TO YOU THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE WOULD BE DEDUCTED FROM THE TOTAL COST OF THE REPAIR. YOU THEN ASKED IF IT COULD BE DONE ANY CHEAPER WE TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD GO OUT AND BUY YOUR OWN FAUCET & THAT WE WOULD THEN GIVE YOU A PRICE TO INSTALL BASED ON THE FAUCET YOU PURCHASED. THIS COMPLAINT WAS ACTUALLY A SHOCK TO ME AS WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU AT ALL EVEN AFTER WE FOLLOWED UP BY LEAVING 2 VOICE MAIL MESSAGES 1 TEXT MESSAGE ON AUGUST 5TH 2013 & AN 1 EMAIL FOR YOU ON AUGUST 6TH 2013. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT US PLEASE GIVE US A CALL & WE CAN DISCUSS THIS MATTER BY PHONE 516-770-2939 AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE THANK YOU & HAVE A GREAT DAY."
