Jorge Talavera IS a SCAM ARTIST. If you proceed to use him as your contractor it is not a matter of if he will screw you, it’s a matter of WHEN. HE LIES SO MUCH he can’t keep his lies straight. He is a great talker so it is easy to get pulled in. He will breach a contract with no care in the world, once he has the majority of your money he is out! It is now February 8, 2022 and we still have no kitchen. He took out our old kitchen the end of November with no intention of replacing it with the money we paid him! This is what he did to us…… We signed a contract on October 20, 2021 to take out our existing kitchen and replace it with a new one. The rest of the job included taking down walls, fixing all electrical and plumbing work involved with the job. Install new window and door as well as flooring, paint and spackle. Everything is outlined in the contract including a payment schedule. He told us he ordered the kitchen and it was on its way after taking out our existing kitchen in November. After we continued to make payments to him he kept assuring us the kitchen was on its way and would be installed by the end of December. When the kitchen never came we started to question why and he began to tell us lies saying it is just delayed. We contacted the kitchen cabinet company (Granite-cabinets.com) and they told us that Jorge Talavera only left a small deposit on the kitchen and never paid the rest. At that point we had already paid him $30,500. We confronted Jorge Talavera and he then began to state he will not purchase the rest of the kitchen cabinets or countertops. He does not want to adhere to the contract that was agreed upon and took the $30,500 and never paid for the kitchen. He also did not complete the other work outlined in the contract. The electrical he did was not done by code and is going to cost us a lot to fix what he and his men did. It was done wrong. Not only did he never finish the job, what he did was done poorly and wrong and will be costing us a lot more to fix.

We were very excited to work with Talavera Construction Group when we signed for patio around our pool. Once Mr. Talavera collected our check and cash it we were no longer able to get in touch with him. He made several promises to arrive and start the job and provide samples of the pavers and he never showed up or called to reschedule. When we tried multiple times to follow up he would never return phone calls or text. The only response we received were emails from his address written by people claiming to be relatives now taking over the project. When we provided the information to these people they didn't respond. We've been chasing this job for two months now and so far it looks like we've paid for nothing.

Working with this company has been a DISASTER!!!! It started off great. The owner id very charismatic but then once he has your money he turns on you!! He started a project on the outside of our house. We paid him for that. After months with lots of excuses if finally was 90% completed. There are a few things that didn't get finished. Then we gave more money to do our kitchen. He has lied SOOOOOO many times and I have record of every email and text. The cabinet guy even said he never dealt with someone so shady. He told the cabinet guy so many times he would come pay for the cabinets but never showed up to pay. I basically had to pay 2 times for my kitchen. He will not return emails, calls, or texts. This left the cabinet guy in a bind also. He legit told me its the cabinet guys fault and when I talk to the cabinet guys they are like nope he never even ordered the cabinets. This happened 2 times. We signed a contract with him 12/20 and we still dont have it all done. He has every excuse in the book. I am not the only one he is doing this to. I did not want to write this or have to have a law suit but he left us no choice. We want our money back and we will drop all legal actions and stop writing about him but until then I want everyone to know that he is a crook and you don't want to be in my situation. I have lost a lot of sleep over this.

It was excellent, they were on time, very good at communication and very responsive. The price was also reasonable and I will recommend them.

It was pretty good, did a very good job, I have no complains and I will hire them again.

Great! Kitchen was painted and floor tiled along with fixing the uneven floor. Outside they refaced the concrete patio, painted and put up a new railing. I would have them back in my house if I have more work and also recommend them to anyone. The guys were very professional.
