Chris was extremely responsive. He immediately contacted me, came out and did a quote, and was able to install within my time frame. I truly appreciate his professionalism and feel that the service was definitely worth the price. He continues to respond to questions via text. I would definitely hire them again!

We were trying to use our older equipment from a previous residence. Tech Connectors did try to hook up our older TV but in the end we agreed that newer was better. The new system integrated TV and audio choices (Netflix, Apple TV, Rhapsody, etc) into one remote control. This includes controlling the speakers on our patio either from the remote or an IPad or phone. <br /> I might add that we were a little resistant to upgrading to the latest technology but in the end, we are so glad we did (our adult kids agree whole-heartedly). <br /> The work required Tech Connectors to come back on multiple occasions to accommodate the patio installation (running wires under patio and again under the sod). They were flexible enough to do this so as not to hold up the landscape work. <br />

Chris and his colleague, Dan, arrived promptly on the date of installation. They were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Chris purchased all of the equipment in advance of the appointment. They worked diligently and efficiently to install and program the system. They mounted the TV above the fireplace, moved an electrical outlet and even moved a few of the in ceiling speakers to accommodate the new setup. The work was flawless and done on time and right at budget. They cleaned up after themselves and left the place looking better than when they started. <br /> I couldn't be happier with the equipment and work. One month in, we haven't had a single problem or issue. I'd recommend Chris and Dan to anyone looking for simple, one room setups all the way up to multi-room, whole home automation solutions. <br />

Tech Connectors has been a great pleasure to work with over the past 3 years. Chris and his team did my initial install in 2011 and have continued to offer great support. The original install of of a complete audio/visual environment including Control4 automation was extremely professional and worked great. Chris was a pleasure to work with. He was on time, personable, and really knew his stuff. What set him apart, however, was a genuine passion for what he does. For example, we never had the feeling he was cutting corners and he stayed late to show us things we could do with the system that were not even part of the package he installed (i.e. How to utilize Apple Airplay on our phone). We highly recommend him!

Where to begin. <br /> I bought a house that had a centrally distributed audio and video setup, whole house audio, that had old componentry that was not functional and not serviceable. Called out to several home A/V guys, nobody responded but Chris responded next morning and was out to see the property the same day. Did a walk through of the house and took detailed notes as to how the house was zoned out. Went over the basic options, a simple setup installing tv's with sources connected locally, or to modernize and update the way the house previously was which was centrally distributed video and audio. he recommended the parts, and was very knowledgable about the equipment needed and various options, after doing my own research, he was pointing me in the right direction. Once parts came in he and his guys came and put in days and days of work ripping out old equipment, toning out all the wires, relabeling everything. He came to my OLD house, DISMOUNTED all TV's, and collecte all A/V equipment including but not limited to A/V recieviers, subs, speakers, etc, transported them to my new house, installed all the new TV's where i asked him to, then re placed all the old componentry in the rack with new ones, and cleaned up all the wiring, progarmmed everything, and was available instantly by text for any problem i had. One night when one of my recievers was being glitchy he was out the next morning to rectify it since he couldnt rectify remotely. The guy is a class act, knowledgable, puntual, professional. Not only did i gain a great home automation system, i have the peace of mind knowing hes 1 text away if i have any problems arise or if i want to expand on some part of the system. After the experience im glad to say that Chris is now my friend in addition to my "A/V guy" <br />

These guy's were punctual. They installed my home theater system in much less time than I thought it would take. They advised me on how to use the system so that it would work to it's optimal capabability. I had several questions I threw at these guy's thinking I would stump them' they answered my questions...no problem for them. I would definitely use them again in the future. And would also refer them to friends. <br />

After doing due diligence on numerous full service A/V companies in the Chicago area we chose Tech Connectors to install 9 TV's, custom home theatre w/11' foot screen, whole house audio (both inside and out) and a Control 4 whole house automation system. While they were young in age, their knowledge of the components and software made it seem like we were working with the individuals that wrote the install and "how to use" manuals. <br /> The whole process took over 4 months as they made sure all equipment worked in harmony and they were not looking at just hooking up equipment and leaving us to figure out how to use the system. In fact, when we upgraded our ADT alarm system they came out (at no charge) to make sure that it synced up with our Control 4 system and there were no software glitches that would compromise the rest of our platform. Because of the ease of that integration we felt comfortable integrating our HVAC (4 furnacec/AC) into the Control 4 and once again our instincts proved correct as this winter finds us conveniently managing our gas usage from the comforts of the I-Pad. <br /> Future plans call whole house lighting and of course I have no doubt that the team from Tech Connectors will once again be up for the task! <br />

Tech Connectors is an appointment setter. They do not have their own installation personnel. Instead, they subcontract out all of their jobs. Any positive reviews of this business are meaningless as it is the luck of the draw in terms of who Tech Connectors hires to do your job. <br /> <br /> The guys TC sent out to install my TV were generally fine, although the installation was needlessly messy: no dropcloths, failure to remove drywall dust from bracket, no vacuuming after the install. The appointment setter I dealt with was not always to contact and scheduling a date was unnecessarily protracted. <br /> <br /> Less than 2 weeks after sending me an invoice for the job, Tech Connectors threatened to send me to a collections agency for failure to pay. I found that to be outrageous. If the company was so strapped for cash they should have required payment at the time of the installation. <br /> <br /> If you want to be treated with respect and know who will be handling your install, do not choose Tech Connectors. <br /> <br /> The company's response to my review below is not an accurate recitation of the facts. Some statements below are flat out false. I would be happy to share my experiences with this unprofessional company with any Angie's List users who would like to contact me.

"After much dialogue with this member, we are sorry to hear that our services didn’t meet his expectations the 2nd time hiring us. Since 2004, and through over 17,000 installs, Tech Connectors has worked hard at cultivating a reputation for quality and customer service. Anytime we feel we have let a customer down, it is disappointing. Tech Connectors does technically use “subcontractors” for some of our basic installs. However, the couple that we do use have been working side by side with our company for 5+ years, or have previously been fully employed by Tech Connectors. They have each been deliberately chosen; there is no luck of the draw involved, and many of the great reviews seen below had the same technician on site as did this member. I assure you that other than some of our most basic installs, Tech Connectors employees are on every job. Additionally, ALL large projects are carried out by the owner. After several attempts to reach this client with no response, we did forward our standard collections procedure. Once we did so, he immediately responded, just as he did to every email prior to the invoice being sent. As mentioned to this member, this install was handled in a prompt, professional manner from his initial inquiry and price quote. His response to our invoice was to send us a counter invoice for alleged damage to his home. Any time we hear about damage it is a very serious situation and we always deal with it swiftly. We had our technician call him to understand what the damage was (so we could return to remedy it) only to find out that he was simply annoyed by the sternness of the invoice and just wanted to "*iss off" the owner. At this point we decided to end our relationship with this customer. This is an unfortunate way to end any business relationship and has only been done as a last resort. Tech Connectors strives to maintain a high level of service and customer satisfaction and we warmly welcome any feedback from our clients. Thank you for your support."

Tech Connectors was responsive and were able to provide TV installation service the next day after my initial request. Despite having purchased an incorrect TV mount for the TV, Tech Connectors was able to offer a mount for sale to prevent any delay to the installation. I would use Tech Connectors again-but I would consult the firm earlier in the process. <br />

I called Wednesday morning, they called me back later that day. We setup an appointment, and then they were able to move it up due to a cancellation the next day.Tech Connectors sent two techs, there were a few problems, but they worked through them very professionally. I am very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

I called Tech Connectors, left a voicemail, and Chris called back quickly. We discussed the job, and he called back with an appointment for the next day with Virgil, one of their technicians. I was at work, so my husband was at home when Virgil arrived. The necessary XBox 360 software updates weren't on the work order, but Virgil took care of them. There were a few phone calls between Virgil and me to exchange information, and he completed the set-up well within the estimated time. There were a couple of minor snags setting up the accounts for the internet connection and Netflix, which Virgil handled smoothly. I came home from work that day to a very happy 9-year-old (who Virgil quickly taught how to use all the equipment), a satisfied husband, and a completely set-up system, being used already. I spoke with Chris to settle the bill, and am very happy with the reasonable price. I am ecstatic with the communication, service, expertise and results provided by Tech Connectors, and will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

They were very good. They were excellent. They did a great job. The price included installation and cables. They did a fantastic job and it is holding up perfect. I get compliments from everybody that comes by. I would recommend them to anybody. I might have been able to have gotten somebody cheaper but I don't know. I would most definitely use them again.

I started out ambitiously with designing a home-run cabling system for both coaxial needs and networking needs in a wiring-challenged older home that I recently purchased. Kirk came out and gave me a quote based on my requirements and it was way over my budget (but inline with other bids I had gotten). He worked with me on modifying the bid based on my budget and my revised requirements. Their final price wasn't the best, but pretty much in range with others. I was comfortable with Kirk's competence which gave me the confidence that the work was to be done right which is important as you would want to do this type of work hopefully only once. Once the plan was set, parts were ordered, and Kirk came with Antonio on the day of the work and got him going. Antonio did most of the work (drywall cuts, fishing wires, connecting the homer-run wiring panel) for the next day and half with another helper, and cleaned up very well after all were said and done. They also meticulously kept the drywall cutouts with numerical markings so that when I did the patching afterwards, it was very easy to do. My only qualm was that the cat5e cabling left at the utilities room where cable companies' cables come into the house were left unfinished without dongles, so I ended up having to put them on myself, which required special crimping tool I had to purchase myself. Not a big deal as I know what needs to be done, but for a laymen, it may be a tad difficult.

Listen: I rarely write reviews of companies, but this one I can't pass up. I interviewed a dozen companies to set up and install a home audio/video and network for our new home. Kirk at Tech Connectors responded quickly, gave me a very detailed and helpful proposal, and was able to help me come up with exactly the kind of wiring service I wanted. Chris and Virgil and Kirk came to our house promptly and, over the course of a few days, worked non stop to get the job done. These guys know what they're doing and they do it well. I would use them again in a second. We needed the in-wall speakers painted, so these guys researched the best technique and did it themselves when our original painter balked. The end result looks great.

We hired TC to run cable for computers and TVs in our 60 year old home. The pricing was a little higher than some of the other quotes we received, but I felt we received much better customer service from them than the other companies we talked to. The technicians were not able to complete the job the first day, and they returned to finish 3 days later. They made sure everything was working before they left the first day, the return trip was just to remove the old cables that had been run on the outside of the house, as it was too dark to do that on the day of the first visit. Overall a wonderful experience, I would definitely use them again, and I would recommend them to a friend.
