<p>I spilled water on my laptop keyboard, and the next day, I couldn't start my laptop anymore. I took it into Tekpro the Friday before Christmas...I'd read their reviews on Angie's list prior to taking in the laptop, and knew in advance that some people got their computers back after the estimated finish date, but had 2 weeks before I needed it back. The estimated date of completion was Christmas Eve...which came and went with no contact from them, so I called the day after Christmas to find out the status of my repair. Long story short, over the course of the next week, I had to keep calling the shop back every day to find out about the status because no one ever called me back when they promised they would (only called me back once when they said they would, otherwise I had to do all the calling). Eventually I was able to get a loaner laptop with my files transferred on to it from them because the owner, Warren, was swamped with work and having a hard time figuring out how to fix my laptop. I eventually got my laptop back approx. 3 weeks after I brought it in.</p> <p>Communication issues aside, the owner and all other employees I met seemed competent, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciated that Warren did not give up quickly on my laptop, and I was able to get it back in working order. I also believe he gave me a discount on the repair charge because it took so long to get my computer, as he only charged my $75, and their repair fee is a flat $99. On top of that, I believe he put a new keyboard in my computer, and the parts cost is usually additional, but I was not able to verify this with him as he was not available when I picked up the laptop.</p> <br />

Had a hardware issue where HP desktop computer would not stay on. Took it to TekPro PC. At that time, they were not good about calling to keep me up to date on the progress, so I had to make a point of calling them. However, they bend over backwards to resolve the problem and their service rates are very reasonable. It took longer than expected but this issue was somewhat out of the ordinary. They resolved the problem to my satisfaction.

I took my computer to get repaired. They were able to diagnose the problem and order the part. Took a couple of weeks though. That's probably the wait time of delivering the parts needed. After parts were installed, I was given back a cleaned out computer with upgrade software and it worked like new! Oh and the price was very reasonable. So I recommend!

LAPTOP RUNS GREAT AGAIN <br />

I dropped my computer off they correctly diagnosed the problem. It was suppose to be done by Monday at the latest but wasn't ready until Tuesday. It took about a week. Which was longer than originally estimated. However, for the price they were awesome. I received my computer back eight upgrades to the operating system which was awesome. It is now working great and all of my old files were available in a back up file. <br />

Their price is reasonable. Usually, they have pretty much a fixed price for most things of like $99, if they had to clean out your computer totally and reinstall. The first time I saw them was in August of 2012 and they had to do quite a bit, but the jedi got my computer back within a day. And this one, I think it was two days, but they have taken cared of what I need to have taken cared of. When it comes to computers, you have got to find somebody reliable.

My laptop died because I was using it on a pillow on my lap, which caused it to overheat. I took it to TekPro. They got it running again. I took it home and almost immediately did something that deleted all my data files. I may have been at fault for the loss of my files, but TekPro recovered them and didn't even charge me for the second round of work! Now the laptop is running, and I have all my data back. They only charged $89 for the whole job! <br /> Thanks, TekPro, you are wonder workers! And I will follow your advice in the future, and always put my laptop on a hard surface when it's turned on, so air can circulate underneath and cool it. I don't want this problem to recur!
